In Christ Jesus, You Have Eternal Life!

~ There are those that teach, that at some point in the future, you “get” eternal life. This is one of the reasons that many people believe they can lose eternal life, is because they don’t believe they have eternal life yet. They gloss over the scriptures, believing in the teaching of man instead of the word of God. They think salvation is getting their sins forgiven, and having them constantly forgiven their whole lives, thus if they do some sin (they can never tell you what that sin is), just that it will cause a person to lose eternal life. So because eternal life is some sort of future event, they see it as something they might not get if they upset God so to speak. It’s important that we understand the schemes of the devil. He has inverted the meaning of the words of God. He has taken things, that should be obvious to those who are truly in Christ and made them be something entirely different in meaning.

~ If a person is not being asked the question about the 1 John 1:9 passage of scripture, you can bet they are not preaching the gospel of Christ Jesus. And the reason people do indeed ask about that verse of scripture is because the overwhelming majority camp on a wrong interpretation of the word of God in regards to 1 John 1:9. The Greek word for Confess means to agree with God concerning your sins. What is it to agree with God? That God was in Christ Jesus reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting your sins against you or me, or anyone in the world. We rest in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. We are not to keep placing him back up there and calling God a liar, saying to him, “I don’t believe you died for all of my sins, and certainly you must not have really died for the sins of the whole world.” That is the mentality of people today. ~ If you are in Christ, and He is in you, He has set you free from the law of sin and death. The law was a shadow of things to come, not the realities themselves. The book of Hebrews is key to our understanding what the new covenant is all about. Once you realize the truth, that God is no longer counting your sins against you, the book of Hebrews is a message of freedom, that makes you want to jump for joy! God didn’t want us to be under the law, because He knew no one can do everything that the law required. So God took care of that for us. He fulfilled the law for us, so that in Him we could become the righteousness of God. Yet people have started there own laws. ~ People want to be God today. They think they can keep themselves clean. They think they can produce good works. They think they can produce the fruit of the Spirit by the energy of their flesh. They still don’t have a clue of how Jesus really lived as the perfect Man of God. It’s important for us to understand that Jesus, being God in flesh, is also the Perfect Man of God too. And Jesus said he does NOTHING other than what the Father tells him to do. He also said, he says Nothing other than what the Father tells him to say. Yet today, people think they can be God themselves. There is nothing new under the sun. People think they can be righteous by keeping short accounts with God. People think they can be holy by doing or not doing something. They live under a misunderstanding of scripture today. They are still slaves to sin (unbelief). And it takes the Holy Spirit living in a person to show them ALL truth.

~ When you come across people that are so deceived into thinking they continually get their sins forgiven today, you know they don’t have a clue of what the Truth of the cross really is. And quite frankly, most of these, the overwhelming majority of the so called Christian world is dead in their unbelief. They are lost, they are NOT saved. They do not have the Holy Spirit living in them for life. And no it is not wrong to say that. It’s just that Satan and the fallen angels don’t want you to share the truth of the word of God. They want the people that are dead, thinking they are saved when they are NOT saved. They want the lies to be continually taught. And they want you to be quiet and not speak TRUTH.
