We Live By Faith in Jesus From First to Last

~ There are some children of God that have a difficult time living by faith. Many have come to Jesus under false pretenses. They have believed the lie of ongoing forgiveness. They are not sure if God took all their sins away at the cross. They are not resting in the finished work of Christ Jesus. Now as to whether a person has trusted or not trusted in Jesus, God in the flesh is between God and them. However, all we can do is promote TRUTH. The truth is God was in Christ Jesus, reconciling the whole world to Himself, not counting anyone’s sins against them. When we place faith in that, faith says thank you God. It is the exact opposite of faith to say to God, “Oh Lord, please forgive me.” That is NOT faith, that is presumption that He is going to forgive you when you ask him to. A person like that is never quite sure if God really forgave them or not. They have been taught to keep on asking for forgiveness. And it doesn’t matter whether a person grew up Catholic or in a Protestant denomination, for we were all taught lies from birth. So to correct that, is to rest in the finality of the Cross and Trust God to renew your mind on all aspects of things (which He said He is doing for all those who are in Christ Jesus). And if you are not resting in that, then maybe you are not saved. And that’s an easy fix. Simply agree with God (a True confession of faith) Jesus, God in flesh, took away all your sins at the cross and is not counting any of your sins against you. Place faith in His Faithfulness, of what He said on the cross, “It is Finished” not on your asking for forgiveness of sins that Satan wants you to keep on doing. That is your beginning point in living by faith from first to last. Trust in Him to do everything He said he would do.

~ For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” ^{Romans 1:17}

~ Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. ^{Romans 8:1,2}

~ “Well, again, the latter, what you’re talking about in the first place, you’ve been living in disobedience to the Lord all these years by not believing what he said, when he said, I went to a cross to take away your sins, and you’re placing an awful lot of emphasis on your words, instead of on his word. What he said was, yeah, you may have said that, but that is a sin that I took away at the cross 2000 years ago, and never to see it again from the eyes of God. And so you’re sitting there and being beating yourself to death, hopefully, maybe this is not the way it is, but for 17 years, beating yourself to death over the fact of, of committing fornication with a girl that you were hopefully planning on marrying, but evidently didn’t work out for some reason. And which was sin. But where it what did God do with that sin? You see, there’s the problem in religion, it’s I sin, what do I do, and in Christianity, it’s you sin, and I already did. I already took care of that I already took that sin from the eyes of God. That’s what I went to a cross for. I didn’t come there to get beat up. And, and having my skin torn off of my body for a person to play around with that forgiveness, that is final, when I cried out from the cross, it’s finished. That’s what I meant. And so you have to learn to walk by faith and then instead of turning to Christ, you turn to drugs, in order to get through the day, Christ who helped you through the day. When you turn to drugs, you’ve turned to an alternate mind altering deal instead of renewing your mind of altering your mind. So there were some mistakes that you made there along the way, Glenn, but it sounds like you’re getting back on your feet again. But you’ve got to realize that if Christ if you’re truly born again, then the living Christ lives in you, and he’s there to guide you in To all truth, and to take the things of the Lord Jesus Christ and make them known unto you, he is there to show you truth against error, but you’re never going to know truth until you study the Word of God. Evidently, you’re doing that, or you wouldn’t be coming up with these kinds of questions, which is good. If you don’t know what the real dollar bill looks not looks like, you’re you’re not gonna know whether you’re looking at counterfeit or the real thing. That’s why you study the real thing, you can spot counterfeit. So there were some things there in your early experience there, Glenn, that either some false teaching that you had is kept you off base, it’s kept you off kilter, you need to stand as strong as horseradish brother, and you need to stand in the grace of God and to realize I am a child of the living God. And, and the reason I am is not because I’ve been a good person, or a bad person, or a good person, or a bad person, or no person, it’s because of what Christ Jesus did for me. That Christ Jesus saw me and in His mercy, and Gleen, don’t, don’t ever negate that mercy, the mercy of God is the most important thing we can grab a hold of God is merciful. He looked down on us in our condition and said, Father, forgive them, they don’t know what they’re doing. That’s merciful. That’s a merciful statement. They don’t know what they’re doing. And these are the people just beat the daylights out of him. And so what we need to do is to learn to stand as it says, Stand in the grace of God, with the full knowledge that my sins have been taken away from, from from the eyes of God, once and for all, and forever, which Jesus did at the cross. And He was entered into my spiritual death with me so that I could enter into His resurrection with him. And when I came to him, I came to him for life, there’s a consequence to sin called death. And the solution to death is life. And the only life available to me was the resurrected life of Christ Jesus, and I have accepted that life. And I’m a born again, forgiven forever, eternally saved person. And standard that and don’t let those voices come in with all of these doubts, and all of this other stuff and to realize that no truth is what’s going to set you free paling gonna set you free. Counseling isn’t going to set you free. Jesus is going to set you free truth, truth. There isn’t anything a counselor can do, of course, I think we’ve gotten Council nuts in the Christian world. A counselor, if he’s got, if he’s worth his salt, is just going to lead you to the one who can set you free. And that’s Jesus just lead you to the Word of God. So you grab a hold, and you hang on to that, Glenn. And, and you say, from this day forth, I’m going to stand in the grace of God, I’m going to stand in that. Nothing can separate me from the love of God. Trials can’t you’ve already been through trials that didn’t separate you tribulation, you’ve been through that that didn’t separate you know, in all these things, he said, you’re more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus, for I’m convinced that nothing can separate me from the love of God, that is in Christ Jesus, my Lord and if Christ before me, and who can be against me? So you put all that guilt because he came to save you from your sin and guilt. You put that guilt behind you, and start walking in the grace of God, and take this marriage that you have today. And praise God for it. And the two of you live a happy life together. Okay, brother. Don’t Don’t let yourself I said Remember it says Don’t let yourself be burdened again by the yoke of slavery, slavery. Don’t get yourself back under the law. You’ve been freed from the law. Right. And you are standing today in the grace of God. Okay, well, thanks, Bob. Okay, my friend. Good. Thank you.” – Bob George
