Church is Not a Building

We Are the Church: Believers in Christ, Not a Physical Building

In Scripture, the term “church” (translated from the Greek ekklesia, meaning “called-out assembly”) refers to people—specifically, born-again believers who are spiritually united in Christ Jesus—rather than a physical structure or brick-and-mortar building on a street corner.

Key Scriptures

1. God Does Not Live in Man-Made Temples

Under the New Covenant, God’s dwelling place is no longer a physical building made by human hands.

“God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.” — Acts 17:24

2. Believers Are the Temple of God

When a person is born again of the Holy Spirit, God takes up permanent residence within them. Believers themselves are God’s dwelling place.

“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” — 1 Corinthians 3:16

“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” — 1 Corinthians 6:19

Truth

Do You Know the Truth of the Word of God

~ “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

~ When we are in the Life of Christ Jesus, we are in the fellowship with God. No one goes in and out of fellowship with God. A person is either in the fellowship saved, or out of the fellowship lost. When Jesus gives us Life, He will never kick us out. We are with God forever and he remains in us forever. He doesn’t kick us to the curb. He doesn’t beat us over the head. He extends Grace to us in our times of need. And then He want us to understand Truth, and TRUTH begins with Him living in us. Learn to listen to the Spirit of God in you teach you ALL Truth. For only God Himself can teach a person the whole Truth and nothing but the Truth. Jesus is Our Sabbath Rest Today

Be Sure to Enter Into the Sabbath Rest

~ “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.” Colossians 2:16

~ For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. Hebrews 4:8-11

~ There are many today who are not saved, and they preach obeying Saturday Sabbath as though that is required to please God. These type of folks are still under law, and are hypocrites in their pretend law keeping. And quite frankly they are involved in the cult of Seventh Day Adventists. Anyone under the law is not being controlled by the Spirit. They are still trying to perfect themselves by human efforts.

God Predestined Salvation for Hebrew and Gentile

Predestination is Not God Selecting Winners and Losers

~ “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His presence. In love He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One.” Ephesians 1:3-6

~ Hebrews and Gentiles are saved the same way, through Faith in Jesus Himself. And when we place Faith in Him, it was God’s choice (will) that makes us Holy and blameless in His presence and He adopts us as sons of God. That was God’s choice to do that for us, all who come to Christ through Faith in Him. God doesn’t pick individual winners and losers as far as salavtion is concerned. Everyone is given a choice themselves. Jesus is God in Flesh

~ “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:1-5

~ Some people get all hung up on the use of the word Trinity. Part of the problem is the word trinity itself. To some it triggers them in a negative way. Others see it as a simple description. And others try and take the pieces of God apart, as though God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are separate so to speak. And then others try to merge them together in a weird sort of way, to make it seem like Jesus is talking to himself when He is talking to the Father. But that’s not how God operates.
