Jesus is Our Righteousness and Our Wisdom

Classic Christianity – A New Heart – Part 2 – 10-28-26

~ 1 Corinthians 1:30 — “It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption.”

Bob George emphasizes that genuine Christian transformation begins inwardly, with Christ changing the attitudes of the heart rather than merely altering outward behavior. Since actions can be imitated, he says, the renewal of the mind is an ongoing process that should ultimately shape how people live.

He describes spiritual rebirth as a new creation from God, distinct from physical birth. In his teaching, believers are made righteous, holy, and complete through Christ—not through their own efforts, appearance, or behavior. He connects this assurance to the belief that those who are in Christ are secure in Him and need not fear death.

Bob also explains his view of the church as the body of Christ: the true church consists of born-again believers joined to Jesus, while local congregations may include both believers and nonbelievers. Anyone in Christ Jesus is a New Creation in Jesus Himself

Classic Christianity – A New Heart – Part 1 – 10-27-26

~ 2 Corinthians 5:17 — “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!”

Bob George’s central message is that lasting change begins with renewing the mind, not merely changing outward behavior. He argues that feelings such as anxiety and depression are part of human experience, and that trying to address feelings directly misses their underlying thoughts. In his teaching, a renewed way of thinking can, in turn, affect how a person feels and acts.

He distinguishes believing a teaching from placing faith in it: someone may accept an idea as true without relying on it personally. He applies this distinction to Christian faith, saying that believers should trust in Christ’s complete forgiveness and sufficiency rather than merely agree with those ideas in theory.

Stand in the Righteousness of Jesus Himself, Not Your Own Self-Righteousness

~ God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21

~ As soon as a person places Faith in Jesus, God in flesh, to have taken away ALL their sins at the cross, we become the righteousness of God. Why? Because when God looks at us, He sees His own perfection. We are made perfect in the sight of God, not by anything we do or don’t do, but by His Spirit coming to live within us, and He makes us a new creation in Christ Jesus. That old me is gone forever. The old me is dead. That old me is never coming back ever again. That old me, was me without the Spirit of God living in me. But the New me, is Him having merged with my own spirit to make me righteous before God Himself. If a person has their identity as a Catholic, Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist, or any of the 1000s of denominations, then Satan has got them wrapped up in the lie of religion. And one of the key lies is that of ongoing forgiveness by God. They ALL teach it in one way or another. Understanding Your Identity in Christ Jesus

~ If you are in Christ Jesus, you’ve got a brand new identity. You are a child of the Living God. You are no longer a sinner, you are a Saint in the eyes of God. So then, we need to understand our identity if we are in Christ Jesus. And that is part of the problem right there. Most don’t understand their identity, because they either are Not a child of God, or they are listening to the teaching of Man instead of listening to the Holy Spirit teach a person Truth.

And many of us today that are in Christ Jesus go out of our way to persuade people the Truth of the word of God. We don’t want anyone to perish. We want people to hear and understand TRUTH. Yet those are the ones that the world views as being out of our minds, crazy and weird, because they will say that hardly anyone teaches what we are teaching. And that is TRUTH, hardly anyone indeed is teaching the TRUTH of the word of God. We see that we’ve we’ve messed around with that, even in psychological studies to realize the effects of, of love on a person. And God knows that he’s the one who made us and He knows what it is, and what it does for you to know that you’re loved. And so folks, when Christ is talking about, and Paul is talking about the fact of coming to know the love of God, it’s because that is the emphasis of the Christian life, not what you’re doing. But not that we loved him, but he loved us first coming to grips with that. And then letting everything be a byproduct of that. In other words, you’re controlled by the love of God.
