Jesus Forgave You

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P428 (4-04-19)

Bob George RadioSeveral callers asked questions that showed their lack of discernment of scriptures. More often than not they are hearing incorrect teaching from the pulpit yet failing to check out what has been clearly revealed through simply reading of the word of God. Other times they are simply growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ but had not quite grasped truth from God’s word. By someone simply pointing out the meaning of God’s word, by asking simple questions from God’s word, the answer is more evident and clear. What also is beneficial is to have a clear understanding of law and grace and that everything written down in the word of God is not written to you. Those things written down by the prophets were often written to those still under an Old Covenant since Jesus had not yet come during their life time to replace the Old Covenant of law with a New Covenant of grace. Yet the prophets, by revelation of the Holy Spirit, also spoke of things to come and to be fulfilled in Jesus Christ. A person must be born again to discern spiritual … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Died and Resurrected For Me

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P428 (4-04-19)

Bob George RadioBob George, on the air with the original People to People ministries, answers questions by callers from across the country on real life issues as well as the common questions. Andrew from Lubbock, Texas asked about the meaning of the head covering for a woman in the passage of scripture in 1 Corinthians 11. Bob answered what he knew from a translation or footnote in a translation that provided information that makes some of that passage more easily understood in its context of the day the letter was written. In that culture, the Gentile were very heathen, and had idols made of stone and sexual goddesses with temple prostitutes. The prostitutes in those days wore short hair or had their heads shaved. From bob’s understanding, a woman who came out of that sinful lifestyle and is now a believer may still have her head shaved and if she does not want to be identified with the “shorn” woman, that is, the prostitutes, she should have a head covering until the time her grows out. As far as other things in that passage, such as “because of the angels”, he did not … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Forgave You - All Sins Taken Away

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P422 (3-14-19)

Bob George RadioSeveral callers asked very personal and sensitive questions in regards to marital decisions and sexual temptations of the flesh. First, there is no sin except that which is common to man. God also does not lead anyone into temptation but rather does not let you be tempted beyond what you are able to endure and with the temptation, he provides a way out. So it is unusual that people sin, for man is weakened by the sinful flesh.

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

There is always a way out. One significant way out is the renewing of your mind with truth (John 8:32). People are bound in sin, or living unproductive lives, because they are thinking in error. How do you think about the opposite sex? Is your thinking in line with how God thinks of them? If the other woman is a believer, is she not a … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Your Sins Have Been Forgiven

Classic Christianity – Call-In Bob George P411 (02-01-19)

Bob George RadioWelcome to Classic Christianity Radio with Bob George. Let’s now join Bob George as he offers practical biblical insights as he helps people experience faith, hope and love in Jesus.

Bob addressed common questions in the world today. “Can believers marry again after divorce?”, “What did Jesus teach in Matthew?”, “What should we do when we sin as believers?”, and “Have I committed the sin of blasphemy?” are the questions asked by several callers. The callers are asking essentially the same question. “What does it mean to walk by faith?” Bob explains the New Covenant we are living under as believers as a covenant of grace, same as a will or a testament, started when Jesus shed hi blood on the cross. By properly understanding Jesus as being a Jew and and Old Covenant, speaking about the New Covenant in the gospels, one can more easily discern the meaning of scriptures in their proper context. For example, why would Jesus say, “Be perfect as I am perfect?”. I know myself I could never perfectly obey the law. How many of you have gotten angry on the freeway when someone recklessly cut you … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Classic Christianity – Call-In Bob George p395 (11-29-18)

Bob George RadioWelcome to Classic Christianity Radio as Bob George answers questions from callers to real life problems, offering hope and truth in Jesus Christ. Julie, the first caller, is a believer, but is walking according to the flesh, in obvious and blatant sin, because she has a faulty belief system and had made the same wrong choices. Therefore, she was not experiencing God’s love, joy, peace, patience, the fruit of the Spirit, that God wants for her. The second caller, Chip, called simply to thank Bob, recounting the early years, when he approached memorizing scriptures but without understanding its meaning, and so was bound up living in error. He was very grateful to Bob for his teaching of the New Covenant that helped transform his thinking and manner of living. The third caller, Katie, was experiencing anxiety and understandably so since her husband walked away from her marriage after 2 years. Bob gives her practical advise, basic insight into the root cause of marital problems, the encouragement to think truthfully, and take one day at a time. Bob also reached out to both her and her husband, if he is willing, to listen … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
