He remembered in the past, getting dunked in water and thinking to himself, this is dumb for I am already saved. He explained that he had heard Bob explaining on another program that about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and how he could of cried because he himself came to understand that being baptized in water means nothing for salvation.

Faith is one of those words used or heard but do we know what it means? Hebrews 11 defines faith as confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This “hope for” is not a “hope so”, but a firm trust in what God has guaranteed us in His Son. We put our trust in what God accomplished for us in Christ Jesus, in what his death, burial and resurrection accomplished for us.

But not everyone has heard or understood what Jesus accomplished for us. Synopsis

Questions that come up quite frequently are questions in regard to tithing and various passages in the Old Testament. Questions like, “How does that passage apply to me today?” It doesn’t. The most prevalent question is in regard to tithing. “Am I robbing God when I do not tithe?” Absolutely not. If a person understood the New Covenant they are living under today, they would not need to ask such questions, for the answer would be very clear. These questions can easily be answered from the scriptures themselves, and anyone who has the Spirit of God living in Him, would then be able to discern the truth on these things.

First of all, to get a grasp of what the New Covenant is we live under today, the book of Hebrews is a book strongly encouraged that you read. So many people call in and ask questions about salvation. They are often confused by what they hear in their particular denomination or various preachers on television. Again, it is so important to rely on the holy spirit to reveal truth to you through the scriptures He has given to us through the prophets and apostles, who were eyewitnesses, when Jesus was alive walking on this earth. Ultimately, that is where truth has to come, from the Spirit of God in Jesus, who Himself is God in the flesh.
