What is Faith That Pleases God?
~ The misunderstanding and the lie of ongoing forgiveness and the false doctrine of asking God to forgive you is a lie that Satan loves promoting through his false ministers of righteousness. For we know that 99.9% of the so-called “Christian” world practices ongoing forgiveness. And most people will not stop, nor do they want to stop, because most of the time many will say, “it makes me feel better to keep asking for forgiveness,” or “this is what I have been taught in my denomination, so I’m going to keep on doing it.” They don’t understand that they have been taught lies and are not willing to endure sound doctrine today. And most pastors are guilty of teaching this as one of Satan’s biggest lies, that Jesus didn’t really die for the sins of the whole world and that you need to keep on asking God to forgive you to stay in right standing with God.
Faith that pleases God is when you agree with God. That is your confession of faith. Confession in the Greek means to “agree with,” it does NOT mean to ask for forgiveness from God. In fact, asking for forgiveness is NOT faith at all. It’s the sin of unbelief in a nutshell. For when you agree with God concerning your sins, that He forgave ALL of your sins on the cross, even the one that you just did, then that is a True sign of Faith. However, to the one that continually makes a mockery of the cross, and treats the cross as an holy thing, by NOT agreeing with God, this person is walking around in the big lie of NOT believing that God forgave all of their sins on the cross. And it doesn’t matter whether a person is Catholic or Protestant, for both are two sides of the same coin. One simply goes to a man to ask God for forgiveness, the other is a man asking for forgiveness directly from God. Neither believe in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. And beware of false ministers of Grace, for they do NOT believe that Jesus died for the sins of the whole world either. Many are secret one point Calvinists, believing and teaching that Jesus only died for the elect.
And most people today are scared to speak the truth. For they would rather have the praise of men rather than following the teaching of the truth of God. Because quite frankly, a person that teaches truth today will not be liked by most religious “Christians” for these are lost and dead people that simply bring to themselves what their itching ears want to hear. And we are in the last days, we can see it with all the signs around us.
~ All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:18-21
~ But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. 2 Timothy 3:1-5
Bob George:
~ “Mark, one of the things I’d get a hold of is our book “Faith That Pleases God” and in one other chapters in there we deal with the Greek structure. First John one nine, it has been many times interpreted by people. That if we keep on confessing our sins, but that is not a proper translation of that. And what I’m saying to this is I’m not a Greek scholar either, but I know who to go to who are Greek scholars, and I’ve gone to some of the best here in Dallas Theological Seminary critical Bible Institute, but the best I went to was over in Greece itself. And as I was teaching over there, there was one of the guys there that he needed to have to go to seminary to learn Greek. I mean, he knew Greek. And of course, they laugh over there, quite frankly, they laugh at our Greek America thinking they understand Greek thing they say, because some of these guys have gone over and gone to classes in our seminaries and take Greek classes, and they just laugh. I mean, if they say this, because it’s, they just don’t understand the Greek language like the, like the the people from Greece. But I had this guy sat there when I was teaching first John one night, and he sat there with his arms folded over his belly and kind of look at him with a jaundiced eye. And afterwards, he said, they said, that’s not that’s not true, what you’re teaching. And I said, Well, sir, it’s your Bible. I mean, it’s in the Greek language, why don’t you look at it again, and see in your own language, because I don’t understand Greeks and and see, tell me what it says, then if I’m not right, tell me what it says. And he stood there and read and looked at that, and looked at that, and looked at that, and finally looked up at me. And he said, Why in the world have we been teaching this? The way we’ve been teaching it? He said, What you said is 100%, correct. And in the way this is interpreted, what you have there, if you have an F that is not used anyplace else in Scripture, it’s an IF with a with a doubt with a question mark, you’ve got an IF, if you are the Son of God turn these stones into bread, that’s an n as much as if that’s an F, that’s a knots questioning if you are the Son of God, thinking that I don’t know whether you are or not, but it’s an in as much as or in light of the fact that you are the Son of God. Then you have the conditional IF, that if I do this, God will do this. If I don’t, he won’t. This is an IF with a question that I don’t know. I’m not sure you’re ever going to come to your senses. And the reason it’s used that way, is because it was speaking to correct the Gnosticism that was in the church. Right and and the Gnostics that believe that Jesus did not come in the flesh, and and that we don’t have a sin nature that God only looks on the spirit doesn’t care what we do in the flesh. And so they were a thorn in the flesh to the early to the early church. By the time John wrote that in some 95 AD, the church had been in existence for some 60 years, and this penetration, had permeated the early bodies of churches. And this was probably a pastor in Ephesus, who wrote to the apostle John, the only living apostle and said, Help. This is what these people are continually bombarding, send the letter to correct the error. And so the letter was written to a pastor who is was to read it to a congregation, find if the shoe fit, why you wear it. So the literal translation of that is the if is, I don’t know if you guys are ever going to come to your senses or not. In other words, I doubt it. But in the event that you do, and here’s where the continually keep on comes has been misinterpreted. Meaning keep on asking, it’s literally is I don’t know if he ever got come to your senses. But in the event that you do today, tomorrow, the next day, the next year, whenever it might be, he is faithful, and just to have forgiven your sins and to have cleansed you, of all unrighteousness it is an aorist tense. The haves are an aorist tense, which is a past action. It’s a snapshot that happened at a point in time in history with continual effect. And that was true in regard to your forgiveness, and your cleansing. And so either way, but that is the correct way, the only correct way that you can interpret that verse with that if which was an IF with the question mark connected to it. That’s how that that’s how it was explained to me by an expert from Dallas Theological Seminary, and by this Greek professor in in Greece. Now, if you take that if you take the way that some of the people interpret that if you keep on continually confessing your sins, and say let’s just use that because see, the issue is Mark, confessing your sins is something that you and I are doing with God every time you pick up the Bible, it’s discipling us and to say, Gee, I was thinking like a jerk wasn’t I Lord. Yeah, you know, and I was acting like a nitwit to this guy. And because the Lord’s pointing this out to me, and so I’m agreeing with him with that. But so I’m going to be agreeing with God concerning my sins, even though God isn’t looking at it on the basis of sin he’s looking at on the basis of a new life. But I’m gonna be agreeing with him that if I’m acting like a jerk, then I’m not acting commensurate with who I am as a child of God. So if I keep on doing that he is faithful. And just to, here’s where the rub comes, it’s not to forgive, it’s to have forgiven. It’s an aorist tense. When that was written to 95 ad, did they know when the cross occurred, where Jesus took away the sins of the world? Well, of course they did. Yeah. They knew the data of it. And it wasn’t in the future, it was in the past. So there’s no other way to interpret. He is faithful and just to, to not forgive but to have forgiven, there’s no other way to interpret it, except that and to have cleansed us of all unrighteousness. Now, in that case, you’re you’re merely saying to a person, that, to keep on agreeing with God concerning your sins, He’s faithful just to have forgiven them. So it’s forgiveness, not the issue. But the context of that is not there. What it is, is to correct the Gnostic heresy, which is saying, I don’t know if you guys are ever going to come to your senses. But if you do today, tomorrow, the next day, or whenever it’s gonna be, He’s faithful and just to have forgiven your sins and to have cleansed you of all unrighteousness, which is true of the lost as well as the saved, even though he took away the sins of the world, it says, while we were yet enemies, that means lost, we were reconciled to God to the death of his Son, how much more having been reconciled, shall we be saved by His life? So although you can say to that person, Your sins have been taken away, they still you have not received that forgiveness in the resurrection of Christ Jesus. Yes, well, I wish we had more time, but we’re about out of time. But Mark, will you call again if you’ve got any further questions and get the book Faith That Pleases God. Okay. I will. Thank you. Thanks. All right. Bye, bye.” ~ Bob George

“But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.” Hebrews 8:6
