We Are to Offer Our Bodies as a Living Sacrifice to Jesus Our God For His Service

~ “Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.” Romans 12:1

~ When a person becomes a child of God, through Faith in Jesus, God in the flesh to have taken all their sins away at the cross, He makes them Holy and perfect in His sight. He is pleased with us. And because we who are in Christ Jesus, are now Holy (set apart) in is His sight, not because of what we do or don’t do, we are to make our bodies available to Him to be used by Him as He wants to use us. We are set apart to be used by Him, for His service to others. So if He wants you to say something, say something. If He wants you to learn something, learn something. If He wants you to watch and listen, then watch and listen. If he wants you to tell Truth to others, tell Truth. If He wants you to be silent, be silent.

As God continues to renew the mind of His children, and trains us in what He wants to teach us and in every step of the way in life, then He will place us into service for His purposes. And sometimes we may not even realize His purpose for us at a specific place in time. But when we look back on it, we see how the Lord used us for His “good” pleasure back at that point in time. And a reminder, God is NOT willing anyone to perish. So while you may have only spoken a small part of the word of God to someone else, or helped out a person in need, or showed compassion to them when they were hurting, God will use that for what He wants to make known to others at that point in time.

The opposite of abiding in the Holy Spirit, is if you are out there, gutting it out for Jesus, then you are working in the energy of the flesh. You think you know better than God at that point in time. And when things don’t pan out the way you thought they would, you become disillusioned in your thinking, because what you thought should have happened, didn’t happen according to your thinking. And that is where we all tend to stray away from Truth. We think we can HELP God out, based on what we do or don’t do. That is the furthest thing from Truth. God doesn’t need our help, He only needs our willingest to be available to Him.

So folks, don’t get all hung up on what you are doing or not doing for God. Focus on TRUTH, for Jesus is TRUTH. He is the ONE that will direct our paths, in EVERYTHING.

Consider having a Bible study yourself and teaching one or two others the Truth of the word of God. Those with ears, they will want to hear. We have many excellent Bible study books that are very easy to use that involve simply reading the word of God and answering the questions provided. The answers themselves are right there in the word of God.

Behold the Lamb of God Who Took Away the Sins of the World

Lord Jesus, teach me the TRUTH of the world we live in today and the Truth of You.

~ “The thing of it is, is normally when people come to Christ, they come to Christ and then go out and try to work for Christ. And they they they sic ’em for Jesus, and they become exhausted and burn out everything else, and Christ doesn’t burn out. What you have to realize the Christian life is not hard. The Christian life is impossible. I’ve asked people time and time again, how many of you tried to live the Christian life last year? And everyone has tried, and how many succeeded, and how many felt that it was tough, and everybody does, because you can’t live it. You’ve got a life that you cannot live. You didn’t give it, and you can’t live it. Our role is to make our bodies available to the living Christ who lives in us, to live his life in and through us. I beseech you, therefore, brother, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable in the sight of God, which is a reasonable act of worship. So that is basically how you worship God is making your body available to Christ, who lives in you. And quit trying and start trusting. You can’t trust and try at the same time, Jeff, most of us, of all of us, have tried that. It doesn’t work. You have to relax to recognize that Christ that we’re like a water faucet, and there any sense in a water faucet sitting around feeling bad because he hadn’t given a drink of water all day. The Master says, water faucet, you’re doing exactly what I want you to do. You’ve been available to me all day long and I wanted to drink all that do is turn you on, and there you’d have been. And that’s our life.

It’s kind of like a I remember a blind gentleman that was one of our conferences, and he had a seeing eye dog with us, and I kept looking at that seeing eye dog and saying to myself, That’s the posture that God wants us to have. That dog was totally available to the command of the master. He laid down when a master was sitting there and listening to conferences. That dog was there sleeping and snooze, enjoying his rest. But when the master spoke and got up, he was available to do what his job was. And when we ever learn to get in that kind of a posture, that kind of a situation, and just be available, let God do his work. We can’t do it. You can’t and I think Second Peter tells us in the first chapter, make every effort to add to your faith goodness, he said not to add to your faith. You got all the faith that God will ever give you. You don’t need bigger faith. You’ve got a big God. And did he not say, Jeff, that anybody who had faith the size of a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed available to humanity, could move a mountain. Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I’ve moved too many of those recently, have you? So so it shows us the size of our faith. It’s not a big faith, but we have a big God, and so you don’t try to get more faith. You got all the faith that you’re going to have if you’ve put it in Christ, that’s the object of your faith. Now it says, add to that faith, goodness. Now you’re talking about adding characteristics to it, to goodness, knowledge. In other words, continue to get to know more about this Jesus that indwells you and to knowledge. Self control. What is that? Keeping yourself under the control of the Holy Spirit? To self control, perseverance, that ability to hang in there, you’ll have things that come up in life where he says, No, persevere. You say, Well, I want to quit. No. Keep hanging in there, Jeff, keep persevering. Keep trusting me, and keep recognizing that I’m your life. Godliness, brotherly kindness. Brotherly kindness. Add love. And then it says, if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, in other words, it in one of those things you get all at once. It’s a gradual thing. They will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

But if anyone does not have them, and listen to this, he’s nearsighted and blind and has forgotten that he’s been cleansed from his past sins. A man cannot grow if he’s still dealing with a sin issue. There is no way for you to grow in your faith if you’re still asking God to do what he in the Cross did, if you’re still thinking there’s more forgiveness to be executed on my behalf, you can’t grow because you’ve never settled the issue of the cross. So Jeff again, what is what happens if Satan can get you to live in doubt as to the foundation of everything that he did as an example, how many of his sins or your sins did he take away at the cross? Did he take some of them, or did he take all of them? Well, if you’re still struggling with that, how are you going to grow you’re the foundation has never been secured. If you when he was raised from the dead, was all of him raised from the dead, or just partially, and was he raised from the dead? So that that life that raised Him from the dead can raise you from the dead, in other words, is your spiritual birth tied into his resurrection. If that’s not settled, you know, then your foundation is weak. So walk by faith my brother. You’ve been in forgiveness. There’s no more forgiveness to be executed. On your behalf, there’s no more forgiveness to be obtained. You are a forgiven person. So when you sin, what do you do? You Thank him. You thank him for what he’s accomplished. That’s faith. Faith says thank you. And legalism says, No, I’m going to go earn some forgiveness. No way. You can’t do it. You got to rest in those things. And this passage says that you’re never going to grow if you have forgotten that you’ve been cleansed from your sins. So that’s very important. Rest in that truth, brother, and rest in your knowledge of Christ, and rest in the fact that nothing can separate you from the love of God, and just bask in that love. Yes, sir.
