Are You Busy and Barren Today or Resting in Jesus?

~ Many people are out there grunting and groaning in the energy of their flesh for Jesus Christ. They are not abiding in the Holy Spirit, but are listening to their flesh tell them to be a do do Christian. And they are listening to man saying to do this instead of listening to the Holy Spirit, if indeed the Holy Spirit lives in them. We are told to make sure that we enter His rest, whereby we rest from our works as Jesus rested from his too. Jesus showed us how man was to live, by abiding in the vine. We can do nothing on our own. Only when we allow God, the Holy Spirit to live His life in and through us can we then experience the Sabbath rest of God. Jesus did nothing and said nothing other than what the Father had him do and had him say. So when we learn to abide in the vine, God will use us the same way. Simply make your body available to Him, that is our perfect form of worship today. Don’t get all hung up on the flesh trip of do do Christianity. Because that is not living by faith from first to last. That is living in the energy of your flesh. And don’t let anyone judge you and make you fell guilty about not doing something. For Satan wants you to stay focused on the flesh, instead of God who lives in you, for the child of God that is born of God, and has the Holy Spirit living in them. And if you don’t have the Holy Spirit living in you today, that is easy to take care of. Simply agree with God, that Jesus is God in flesh, who took all your sins away at the cross, and the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is the same Spirit that will give you His eternal life at the very moment in time you place faith in Jesus. Tell God thank you for all that. That is your true confession of faith.

~ For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. ^{Hebrews 4:8-11}

~ “Roney, in my book, Classic Christianity. I don’t know whether you’ve gotten that book or not. But I would really strongly advise you to get it especially you’re being in Bible school, and with so many other people that quite frankly, if they’re not burn out, they will be burned out by the time they get going. I went through the same thing where I had lost the joy of my salvation. I knew that I had lost salvation, but I lost the joy of my salvation, busier than you could ever dream or imagined for Jesus, I was like you I was immediately was in a connected with an organization that was involved in witnessing. So you had to chase people at flagpoles and run them around and go door to door, knock on doors and bang on doors and get underneath the doors and all of that type of thing. And it drives you crazy after a while. And because you’re under, you’re under the bondage of legalistic performance legalism. And there’s no rest in that where you’re resting from your works just as God did from his. There’s only one solution to that, Ron, and that is to put aside that legalism, that bondage to performance. And to rest enter into what the Bible calls a Sabbath rest, where you’re wasting from your works, just as he did from his, and to realize that God isn’t, isn’t telling you to go do anything. He’s telling you to be available to him to do his work in and through you. And just as Jesus Himself said, I never did anything unless a father told me to do it. And I don’t say anything unless the Father tells me to say it. He also said his father sent me so saying that you and so Jesus lived in total dependency upon his father. He was not it was not receiving instructions from the director of evangelism in the church. He was not receiving instruction from his apostles. He is receiving instructions from his father. And his father told him to share with somebody he shared with somebody and if he didn’t, he didn’t. Obviously, Jesus walked by that man that Peter healed later, numerous times, going into the temple in Jerusalem, Why didn’t Jesus healing because the father didn’t tell him to he told Peter to and so you get under that performance orientation. And it’s a form of legalism. You can also have Don’t have any idea where you what your background is, but you could also be hung up. Just in plain legalism trying to obey the 10 commandments, one of the Hebrews couldn’t. What are you doing? Try it. The issue is you, you’ve been died to the law, you’re supposed to be dead to the law so you can come alive in Christ Jesus. So Ronnie, what you have to do on that type of thing is to forget about doing something. In other words, a branch is sitting around thinking about how can I produce fruit he’s already learned he can’t, right. And so until you learn, you can’t you’re out there grunting and groaning, trying to try to grow in some fruit out of you. And the issue is that the vine has got to produce that not the branch.” ~ Bob George
