True Repentance is a Change of Mind in Regards to Jesus and What He Did For You

~ “It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age— and then have fallen away—to be restored to repentance, because they themselves are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting Him to open shame.” Hebrews 6:4-6

~ The very moment we receive Jesus, we received Eternal Life in Him. We are saved from the consequences of sin, which is death, and He gives us Life by the Spirit of God. People that are falling away from this Truth have never been saved in the first place. They have never repented in the first place. Now they may say they have repented, but by their very fruits of not believing that their sins have been forgiven at that cross, are not saved.

Repentance is NOT done over and over and over and over again. It is a one time event in regards to a change of mind of who Jesus is, what he did on the cross for you. Repentance is simply a change of mind. Repentance is a one way street when it comes to changing your mind about Jesus. Once you truly have repented, the Holy Spirit comes to indwell you with His life. He will never leave you nor forsake you. So don’t listen to anyone that says you can lose your salvation. That’s like saying you can kick God out of your life, which is in direct opposition to Him saying “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

They are actually crucifying Jesus over and over again, subjecting Him to public disgrace by asking for what He has already done. He is never going to the cross ever again. It is finished!

Consider having a Bible study yourself and teaching one or two others the Truth of the word of God. Those with ears, they will want to hear. We have many excellent Bible study books that are very easy to use that involve simply reading the word of God and answering the questions provided. The answers themselves are right there in the word of God.

“Those passages aren’t saying that, there’s they’re talking to the very nitwits that are teaching you what they’re teaching. And I’m telling you know, they’re talking about the fact that that you cannot be brought back to repentance because you’ve never repented. You’ve never changed your mind. You’re still hanging on to the sacrificial system. They’re still hanging on to their own works to keep them saved. They’re not saved hanging on to their own works. I just gave a lecture yesterday, Anne Marie and about the when you talk about in the Old Testament, leaving a sheep, bleaking, carrying the Ark of the Covenant in just a different way than God said. It’s finished. You cannot do that. You cannot say, I’m saved, and I believe that Jesus took away some of my sins. I’m sorry. That is impossible. God doesn’t allow that. It’s only when a person says, I am a saved person, and nothing can take my salvation away from me that you’re saved because that’s what you’re putting your faith in. You’re not putting your faith in a in a halfway resurrection or a halfway cross. You have to put your faith in the totality of what he did at the cross and walk away saying, I’ll never ask you again to do what you accomplish for me at the cross. I’ll spend the rest of my life thanking you, Lord for my forgiveness, but I’m never going to insult you again by asking you to do it.” ~ Bob George
