We Are To Live By Faith Allowing Jesus to Live His Life Through Us

~ “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it has been written: “And the righteous will live by faith.” Romans 1:17

~ To Live in Christ is to allow Jesus to live his life in and through us. We can’t, but He can. Yet we often, in the energy of the flesh, try and live the Christian life. We have it in our heads, that we ought to do this or do that, or not do this or not do that, when we should in fact be focusing on Him. He is no longer counting our sins against us, so quit looking at our own sins and don’t allow the enemy to count those sins against us either. And certainly stop counting them ourselves. It does no good to keep the focus on self, because the flesh can never please God. Only the Spirit can please God. So we ought to worship God in Spirit and in Truth. Make our bodies available to Him, to be used as He directs.

“You need to go back and to read the seventh chapter of Romans, Marcia, and go into the seventh chapter of Romans and begin reading down to verse seven of chapter 7:7, and Paul is saying, in that what we shall we say, then is the law of sin certainly not indeed, I would not have known what sin was except through the Law. For I would not have known what coveting was if the law had not said, Don’t covet, but it said the law saying, Don’t covet, sin seized that opportunity that was afforded by that commandment, and it produced in me every kind of covetous desire. And so it goes ahead to say that that sin under the law, you’re you’ve got a law that says, Well, I can’t lie. Well, the Scripture isn’t saying that. The issue is that you’re not under the law. He says, to be a truth teller. And so the whole issue here is that you’re trying in the energy of your own flesh. Now, when you get to 14, here’s what it says. I don’t understand what I do. They you just said that, haven’t you? You don’t understand why you do that, right? Okay, you got company now, don’t you? Yeah, who is? Who’s your company? The apostle Paul, right? And every other Christian. So I don’t understand what I do for what I do I don’t want to do, and what I do not want to do, I do what I hate I do that’s you just testified to that. So maybe, maybe the Lord’s been peeking on you. I don’t know, but if I do what I don’t want to do, I agree the law is good, but as it is, it’s no longer I myself would do it. It’s sin living in me. So what’s the root of your lying sin? Yeah, and again, the root of that is fear, right? Because you wouldn’t be lying unless you were fearful of telling the truth, right? And so God didn’t give you a spirit of fear. But I also get afraid of God. Bob, no, we see that is a that is, that’s a worse sin than lying. Yeah, that’s the worst sin you can do. Because God said, I have taken away your sin. And Marsha, you either have to believe that or you don’t. Because right now, you’re calling God a liar, because God, I know you don’t, but that’s what you’re doing. You see, when you’re saying that God’s going to get you, that’s a lie, isn’t it? How many of your sins did Jesus take away at the cross? All of them.” ~ Bob George
