Narrow is the WAY, The Way to God

~ “Because strait is the gate, and NARROW is the WAY, which leadeth unto LIFE, and FEW there be that find it. Matthew 7:14

~ Today we have a large group of people that believe they are saved, when in actuality they are NOT saved. And that is not us that are saying it, but it is the word of God. So when you are accused of condemning a person, by something you say directly out of scripture, it is not you that is condemning them, but the Truth hits to the core of what a person believes. If a person believes there are many ways to God, then when they hear you, they will indeed think you are condemning a person, because they themselves overlook the word of God. They say, that “God is a God of mercy,” which is actually true, but a proud person will not receive mercy. They think, they can earn their way to God, or they believe in their heart that they are “basically good.” How many times do we here that repeated ad nauseam by both the world and those that say they are “Christians” too? Oh, “He is such a good person.” Or “He loves the Lord.” Or “Look how much stuff he does for the church,” as though all of those things determine if a person is saved or not. Most have not a clue what salvation truly is. Salvation is LIFE. Salvation is when the Holy Spirit comes to live in a person and gives them eternal life at that very moment in time.

Most dismiss the foundation of what Jesus did at the cross and what the resurrection really means. They gloss over the details in the word of God, and would much rather believe in the teaching of Man over that of the word of God. They lean on their own understanding, and will say things like, “Well I FEEL, that God would save this one or that one” based on their own understanding of what they would do. And since this is what “I would do” God must follow suit. Yet scripture is plain and clear, very few will enter into the kingdom of God. Now that should be a sobering realization for people today, but they even dismiss that too. They do not pay attention to the details in the word of God. Most are NOT seeking TRUTH. They believe they know what Truth is, so there is no reason to seek Truth. And most “Christians” do NOT even read the words of God. They do not dwell upon any of it. They do NOT ask for wisdom and understanding at ALL. For they know it ALL in their minds, so why would they need to even ask God for wisdom and understanding?

Bob George addresses callers’ questions on forgiveness, salvation, and biblical contradictions. Beverly from Warnerville, NY, sought advice on forgiving her in-laws after calling the police on a drunk man with a gun. Bob advised that she did the right thing and emphasized the importance of prayer for the man. Michael from Toronto questioned the inclusion of the woman caught in adultery story in early manuscripts, which Bob explained was likely added later but still teaches biblical truths. Gino from Pittsburgh discussed John 8:31, clarifying it’s about discipleship, not salvation. Alex from San Dimas sought guidance on biblical contradictions, and Ronald from Grand Rapids expressed concern about people in churches who think they have salvation but don’t truly believe in Jesus.

“Well, I think the goat and sheep in the Scripture is lost and saved. I think that’s where the separation is going to be at the end times, where the lost and the saved will be separated. And I think that’s why God says, Don’t get involved in trying to pull up these tears, the wheat and the tears. That’s going to be his job. You try to pull up an old, old wheat, and you’re going to end up pulling up the good stuff. So he says, Leave the judgment to me. And I think that’s that’s very wise. We all know Ronald, that in this, in this world in which we live, there are people motivations that we really aren’t prepared to know, but we ourselves know. I said in church for 36 years of my life, and didn’t know the Lord from an apple tree. And yet, I’m sure that somebody who had just, if anyone ever. Thought of that. I’m not sure anyone ever did. The church is in but if someone did think, well, I bet you, Oh, Bob and Amy are Christians, and I’d agreed with them. Sure, I’m not a Buddhist and not a Muslim. So of course, I’m a Christian, but did not know the Lord Jesus Christ at all. And there are literally millions of people like that. And I think Ronald That’s why Jesus said the gate to salvation is narrow. It is not a broad, wide gate. It is narrow. And the only people that are going to enter in are the people that have listened, heard the word of God as it communicated my condition, and I agreed with him that my condition is I’m wretched, deceitful above all things, and who can know me. And I also agreed with God, with the fact that he came to take away that sin, as well as all of my sins and the sins of the entire world, and put it behind his back, never to see it again, and take those sins away from the eyes of God, so that there’s no more judgment from God or condemnation from God and then to be raised from the dead in order to be the answer to my condition of spiritual death. And the only solution to death is life, and the only life available to us is the life of Christ, Jesus, the resurrection of Christ, Jesus. Now how many people understand that? I quite frankly, think very few, and I think there’s going to be a remnant of people in heaven, because I think the gate is narrow. It is not wide, and I think there’s only a small group of people that ultimately ever come to an acknowledgement of agreeing with God concerning their condition and his provision. So I agree with you on that, brother.” ~ Bob George
