Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P1048 (07-10-25)

Understanding the Koinonia Greek Language of the Word of God

~ “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves. And the TRUTH is not in us if we keep on continually confessing our sins. He is faithful and just to have forgiven us our sins, and to have cleansed us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. My dear children, I write these things unto you, that you do not sin. And if any man does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous One. He’s the one who took away our sins, not only ours, but the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 1:8-10, 1 John 2:1,2

– So, because the translators of the word of God from the original Greek, knew that Koinonia Greek (the original language of the New Testament Word of God) did not contain punctuation, nor did it contain paragraphs they took advantage of the situation. “Yes, that’s correct. The original Greek text of koinonia (κοινωνία) and other words in the New Testament, as well as other ancient Greek texts, did not include punctuation or spaces between words in the earliest manuscripts. This style of writing is often referred to as scriptio continua.” And so the translators deceived the people into believing satan’s lie of ongoing forgiveness in order to get more forgiveness and more righteousness from God. With ALL the translations the work of forgiveness is never finished, but that is the BIG lie of the religion of Christianity. Both Catholics and Protestants teach the lie of ongoing forgiveness, and the TRUTH is not in them. One teaches going to a priest for forgiveness, and the other teaches a person can ask God directly to forgive them over and over again. Both are spreading satan’s LIE. And so, they call God a liar, by their ongoing asking for forgiveness of sins to get more forgiveness by God.

What About 1 John 1:9

“That the Greek language there was no punctuation in it. And we put the punctuation in it ourselves. Now, what if first John one eight reads like this. If we claim to be without sin, first of all, we’re talking about the fact that Jesus took away the sins of the world. Now, if we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves, period. And the truth is not in us if we keep on continually confessing our sins. He is faithful and just to have forgiven our sins and to have cleansed us of all unrighteousness. If we claim we’ve not sinned, we make him out to be a liar, and His Word has no place in our lives. My dear children, I write this to you so that you won’t sin. But if anyone does, we have the one who speaks to the Father in our defense, Jesus Christ, the righteous one. He’s the one who took away our sins, not only ours, but the sins of the whole world. Doesn’t that make all the sense in the world, reading it that way?” – Bob George

John 6:28,29

28 Therefore they said to Him, “What must we do, that we may be doing the works of God?”

29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you should believe in Him whom He has sent.”

Bob George 0:49
Let’s go down to San Diego, California. Go south on Cabe bright as well. Dennis, you’re on the air.

Caller 1 0:55
Hi, Bob. Blessings to hear your show every day, and blessings of what you’re doing. I believe God’s really doing a great work through your ministry.

Bob George 1:02
Well, thanks, Dennis.

Caller 1 1:03
I have just a quick question. I was at a Bible study last week and facilitator brought up, right off the bat, he wanted to title his Bible study the if doctrines. And he brought up several scriptures were out of the Old Testament, especially a lot of Old Testament, but also the New Testament, about if we continue and if we abide, and a lot of conditional scriptures. And I believe my position as your words, where I believe, you know, once you’re born of the Spirit, you’re born of the Spirit, yeah, but they try to deny that, and brought some confusion up. God really moved through a lot of the things I’ve heard through you and that God has showed me through scriptures, where God really began to bless the Bible study with life and and freedom and liberty. But again, I just looking to reinforce my position, because tonight, there’s our second series on this Bible study, and I believe he’s going to be even armed with more of these if scriptures. So just curious, what’s your position when they bring up some of these scriptures out of these scriptures out of the New Testament, where it says, If you abide or if you continue in him, then, and it goes on.

Bob George 2:08
Well, Dennis, what he’s missing is the word if, in the Greek language means different things. There’s an in as there is an if that in light of the fact that, and in as much as, as an example, if you’re the Son of God, Turn these stones into bread. That’s not an if that I have a doubt that you’re the Son of God. It’s in light of the fact that, or in as much as you are the Son of God, Turn these stones into into bricks or into food. You have conditional ifs, if you walk out in the rain, you’re going to get wet. There’s different there’s different interpretations on the word, and you have to know if you got a conflict, or if you’re trying to make a point, like he is why somebody may have to tell him to go down and take a look at what the Greek words with what it actually means. Because he’s making a mountain out of a mole hill. I don’t know even what he’s trying to do. If we confess our sins, He’s faithful, and just to give us means that if we don’t, he won’t, if that’s the kind of if it is, if it’s in light of the fact that we agree with God concerning our sins, that has a totally different meaning to it, doesn’t it? It does. And so you’ve got to take a look at which if it is. And if you look into a get a good interlinear Greek, English, New Testament, why those kind of words will you’ll be able to look those up and to see which if it is, okay. But that’s where he’s it seems to me that’s probably where he’s, where his problem is. I don’t know all the passages he’s talking about, but it doesn’t make any difference. The the majority of the IFs that are used in the script, in the New Testament are the in light of the fact that are in as much as.

Caller 1 3:56
Right. In fact, I find in Romans he uses and I don’t have the scripture in front of me, but front of me, but I think it was Romans 3 or early on in Romans. But the if he was using, if you I find it that I read in context, it’s purely talking about that if is, if we reside or rest in what Christ did as in the totality of the cross, that’s when you will, and you do find real salvation, and so it’s almost the exact opposite what he was trying to present.

Bob George 4:24
Yeah, yeah. Again, some of those people are who can paint their own paint their own destruction in what they’re teaching. Because many of them have never come. People are trying to do what he’s probably doing. Have never even come to put the totality of their faith in the in the cross.

Caller 1 4:42
Right.

Bob George 4:42
In other words, they’re probably in Hebrews, what it’s talking about, sinning against the knowledge of truth. You might just want to bring some of those passages up. Hebrew 10 about sinning against the knowledge of truth in regard to the finality of the cross. I mean, are you, have you ever rested in your life, in the New Covenant that you’re in today? Have you ever rested in the fact that your sins and lawless acts, he is put behind the back of God never to see them again? Have you ever rested in the fact that where your sins have been forgiven, there’s no longer any sacrifice for sin, and without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness, and there isn’t any more shedding of blood. So why would you think there was any more forgiveness? Have you ever rested in that or are you still deliberately sinning against the knowledge of truth? Because that’s what Hebrews 10:26 is talking about. Is sinning against that knowledge that I just mentioned, of that truth, that there’s no more sacrifice for sins. And so I would, I would bring that passage up in as much you want to talk about an if, let’s talk about the if, in 10:26 If you deliberately keep on sinning after you’ve received the knowledge of truth. And I’d ask him a question, have you ever rested in the finality of the cross? Are you still asking him to do what in Christ he’s already done? There any more sacrifice for sins? There’s no more shedding of blood, and without the shedding of blood, there is no more forgiveness. So why you continue to ask him for what in Christ you already have, if indeed you have, if indeed you do have, it?

Caller 1 4:42
Exactly, I find this is what happened in the Bible study, is I find so many and I myself used to do this as an earlier, younger Christian, but we speak one thing out of our mouth, and we don’t realize exactly what we’re saying, and then the very next sentence is in direct conflict as to what we just said. So thank God that you know his grace does cover our ignorance. At times.

Bob George 5:43
That passage in there is boy that that to me, you know, it talks about the fact it’s, to me, it’s a very important passage said, How much do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, treated as an unholy thing, the blood of the covenant that sanctified him and has insulted the Spirit of grace? And what’s he talking about? There people who are going back to their sacrificial system, talking out of both sides their mouth. Jesus took away my sins, but I’m going back the Day of Atonement. People who are saying that I believe Jesus died for my sins. I’m going to my confession booth, people who say that Jesus died for all my sins, going back and keeping short accounts with God and keeping their sins confessed through first John one nine, total misinterpretation of the passage. There’s another, if that is misinterpreted.

Caller 1 7:25
Right.

Bob George 7:26
Let me, let me share something with you, Brother, let me share something with you. Okay, in first John one nine, and we’ve, you know, we’ve talked about that verse a lot. You know that punctuation in the Greek language is not inerrant. You know that, don’t you?

Caller 1 7:46
I do.

Bob George 7:47
That the Greek language there was no punctuation in it, right. And we put the punctuation in it ourselves. Now, what if first John one eight read like this. Doesn’t that make all the sense in the world, reading it that way?

Caller 1 8:45
It does.

Bob George 8:45
But you see, what we’ve done, we put the period in a different place. We if we claim, if we claim, to be out sin, we deceive ourselves. The truth’s not in us, no, put a period after, we deceive ourselves, and the truth’s not in us. If we keep on continually confessing our sins. Why? He’s already forgiven them.

Caller 1 9:03
Right. It takes such a, I believe, a revelation, or it’s that born again experience that Jesus talked about to understand this. It’s got to be received by the Spirit. And unfortunately, so many are just are still striving in their own understanding, or their works of their flesh. And what you just read is perfect, because that’s what came up in the Bible study, is the facilitator’s wife, actually, came out and said, I don’t sin. And so everyone kind of paused and just realized, did she just say what we thought she said? And that’s the scripture that everyone tends to go to, and they read it under that context. Yeah, period. But if you do take the previous scripture, verse eight, yeah, it’s powerful.

Bob George 9:40
Yeah, it sure isn’t. And And again, there’s no, there’s no even change of ownership in from chapter one to chapter two when it’s read that way. But again, the old to, you know, I just believe is what you have. You got people who are involved in translation and people involved in punctuation that punctuated according to their bias. Yes, because, quite frankly, that makes a lot more sense to me than the other way. But you know, that’s if everybody agreed with us, we wouldn’t need to have a ministry. Would we brother?

Caller 1 10:10
Exactly. Thank God for your ministry. Keep preaching the good news, because that’s exactly what you’re doing. Is it’s the good news. It’s setting captives free, and especially the spirit of religion, those that are bound by it, it’s setting those free.

Bob George 10:22
Well that’s for sure, brother. Well, listen, best of luck to you tonight, and the Lord be with you. And just keep telling truth. Those are good, if those are good, ifs to camp on.

Caller 1 10:31
Exactly.

Bob George 10:33
Okay pal.

Caller 1 10:34
All right.

Bob George 10:34
All right. You too. Dennis, bye, bye now.
