The Sin of the World is Unbelief in Jesus

~ There is only one sin that a person can surely repent of, and that is the sin of unbelief in Jesus. They need to change their mind about Jesus and what He did at the cross for them. He took away all their sins at the cross, never to be seen by God again. He is not counting anyone’s sins against them today. The issue is life and death. Remain dead, without the Holy Spirit of God living in a person when they reject Jesus. Receive His life in them when they accept what Jesus, God in the flesh has done for them. The sin of unbelief is sometimes very subtle too. A person wrongly thinks they are saved when they asked for forgiveness by God, yet we are told in the scriptures, that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness by God. And we know that Jesus is never going to die on the cross again for their sins. So they still walk around in unbelief, by not believing Jesus did what He said, “It is Finished.” So don’t assume anyone is saved today based on their having asked for forgiveness from God. Because they never truly understood the gospel. So make it clear to them.

“The world’s sin is that they refuse to believe in me.” ^{John 16:9}

According to the law, in fact, nearly everything must be purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. ^{Hebrews 9:22}

Lord Jesus, teach me the TRUTH of the world we live in today and the Truth of You.

Behold the Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world.

Question: Is it possible for someone who truly loves the Lord Jesus Christ to commit the unpardonable sin or unforgiving, the sin that leads to death?

“No, because there’s only one sin that leads to death, and that’s the rejection of the Son of God, the sins of the entire world, every sin you and I will ever commit was placed behind the back of God never to see it again. The only sin that is attributable to man, according to the Lord Jesus Christ, who, in John, says that the world’s sin is unbelief in me, and that sin cannot be forgiven, that sin has to be repented of. And so what you’re dealing with is we were all born into this world, dead spiritually. And the offer of life comes from Christ, Jesus. When we refuse the offer of life, we remain dead, and that sin becomes unpardonable. So there is no such thing as pardoning the sin of remaining in unbelief and denying, and in many cases criticizing the work of Christ, Jesus at the cross. It says in Hebrews that we’re making a mockery of the Son of God and of the covenant of the covenant that we stand in today that separates us from the world.” ~ Bob George
