The Life of Jesus is What Saves a Person, Not His Death

~ It is so important to understand the truth of the word of God. Details matter in everything, and God’s forgiveness details are important for us to understand from God’s perspective. For if we don’t understand our forgiveness from God, we will constantly be in error in our understanding and that which we share with others. Satan doesn’t want you to pay attention to the details in the word of God. He would much rather you be a spokesperson for his lies. He will say, It doesn’t really matter what you say, just as long as you believe this or that. But when a person speaks with their mouth, they are verbalizing what is actually in their heart. So if a person is asking for more forgiveness today from God, it is clear that the person doesn’t understand that ALL his sins were forgiven at the cross. Don’t bypass the details with others either. For it is better to correct a person in truth, than to let that person continue in error. A person that is not willing to correct another person in truth is actually not loving that person. For they may fear what a person might say to them more than they fear God. Is it not better to have someone get angry with you, and share truth, than to have that person be eternally lost in error and dead because they have not truly come to saving faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ? For many have believed on another Jesus, which is a Jesus of their own imaginations, but it definitely is NOT the Jesus of the word of God.

~ All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. ^{2 Corinthians 5:18-21}

~ “Yeah. John, let me clear up a couple of things. I’m always hesitant when people say you know, I was baptized, as if that is salvation. being baptized is not salvation, I was baptized three times before I was ever saved. So you don’t have to be baptized to be saved. So it’s when you come to Christ is that, number one, you were born into this world forgiven. God was in Christ reconciling the whole world unto himself not counting your sins against him. When did that occur? While you were yet enemies, you were reconciled to God to the death of his son? How much more having been reconciled, that being an accomplished fact over and done? shall you be saved by His life? You’re not saved by the death of Christ, you’re saved by the life of Christ? What are you saved from? The wages of sin, which is death. And how are you saved? By the gift of God, which is life. And so when you’re dead, you need life. Forgiveness cannot bring life to the dead. Forgiveness is what prepped prepared you for that salvation, of coming alive in Christ Jesus, that God had to take away eternally the cause of spiritual death, which was sin, in order to give you life eternal, had he forgotten one sin of the cross or one sin except the sin of the rejection of the Son of God, one sin at the cross you could not have been given and secured eternal life. So it isn’t the case that I asked God and He forgave you, because that’s not true. You are already forgiven. What you have done is acknowledge. And that’s what you do. When you’re in Christ, you acknowledge that now I am in Christ Jesus. And God is dealing with me as a father and a son. So as your loving Father dealing with you, you would have to say that in his dealing with you is John, what do you think spiritually and biblically that you should do? Do you leave that alone? Or do you go back to the insurance company and tell what you did and offer restitution? Or do you say, Well, certainly, God forgave that sin, which he had done before you ever committed it anyway and forget it. And I think that’s where you have got to go to your Lord, and to allow him to give you the decision on that. There’s going to be repercussions either way. And you’ve got to just really determine what you’re gonna do there. And he will guide you if you’re in Christ Jesus and His Spirit lives in you that He will guide you into the truth as to what you should be doing.” ~ Bob George
