Once Saved Always Saved? YES ~ Salvation is Eternal Life in Christ Jesus

~ Most people that have an issue with the statement of “once saved always saved” don’t have an understanding of Christ’s saving LIFE. They think they are saved by getting their sins forgiven, repeatedly over and over again as both Catholics and Protestants do. They live the life of a lie of Satan that he has people convinced of ongoing forgiveness required by God.

~ “Andrew’s question was, and you know, we have it on the screen. If he comes back, we can plug him in. But here’s what he’s question once saved, always saved? is a question that we get a lot of Bob and I, and I tell people, it’s a very, very easy question to answer. Either you believe what Jesus did at the cross was what he said or you don’t period. If you don’t believe him when he said it’s finished. And if you don’t believe him when he said that I came to take away the sins of the world. If you don’t believe John the Baptist, when he identified Jesus is Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. If you don’t believe Peter, and you don’t believe Paul, when he wrote that Jesus took away the sins of the world, didn’t cover them, took them away. If you want to call all those people liars, why then you can believe that you can lose your life. And that’s what salvation is. I say to people, Bob, and that this, and Richard, that a person who claims it or believes that you can lose your salvation does not understand what salvation is. Because their salvation, of their understanding of salvation, is tied up in sins. And so the reason they think that you can lose your salvation is because you’ve sinned too much. But that’s not, that’s not salvation. And you need to put that aside, put that on the side burner, because that’s not salvation. Again, the purpose of the cross was to take away eternally the cause of spiritual death, there’s a consequence to sin, it’s called death, the man who sins will surely die. And so death is your problem. That’s what you’re saved from your, you have to be saved from the consequence of sin which is death, eternal death, by the gift of God, which is eternal life. Now, in order to give us eternal life, which is the only solution to eternal death, he had to take away eternally the cause of spiritual death, which is sin, we know that what causes life of God to depart from Adam was sin, what causes the life of God to depart from Jesus, sin, who’s sin? Our sin. And that is precisely why the only thing that could cause, once you have received eternal life, that life to depart from you and me is sin. And the reason that is an impossibility is because of Christ’s final work at the cross where there He who knew no sin, became sin for me and you, so that we could become the righteousness of God in him. Apart from him taking away the sins of the world, there would be no righteousness, there would be no holiness, there would be nothing with no life. And so for a person to deny eternal life is to deny the finality of the cross.

And I personally don’t want to be one who’s gonna go in the front of Jesus someday and say, You lied. You lied to us, when you said paid in full. And you lied to us when you said, it’s finished. You lied to us when you said, it’s all me and none of you. Because I believe I had something to do with this, even to the point of causing my salvation to be lost if I wanted to. And he laughs and says, that’s why you’re not saved. That’s why you were never saved. Is you never put your faith in what I came to do, I didn’t come to die for some sins. I didn’t come to give you temporal life. I came to give you eternal life. And the only way I could do that is by taking away eternally the cause of death, which is sin. So why do I believe in eternal salvation? Because I believe in the eternal consequence of the cross, and there really isn’t any thing to argue about was that if a person can’t understand the truth of that, then there’s something wrong with their logic, their ability to think logically and it. That’s all I have. That’s all I can say with that.”

This is a very very important message for everyone to hear today. There is no beating around the bush on this. It’s a matter of LIFE or DEATH. You don’t want to be on the wrong side of the equation.
