The Proud Will Not Receive Truth ~ Jesus is TRUTH

~ There is nothing new under the sun. History has a tendency to repeat itself, and if we are students of Bible history we can learn a lot about what is going on today. There are many that throw out the book of Hebrews, saying it was only written to the Hebrews. That’s one example of how the word of God is discounted today. First off, as a reminder, since the temple was destroyed in 70 AD, the records of who is a Hebrew/Israelite were all destroyed also. The people over in the Rothschild’s state of israel today are NOT Hebrews/Israelites. That is a fact. And yet we put people up on a pedestal today as though everyone is a child of God or are God’s chosen people. Got news for you, not everyone who says “Lord Lord” is a child of God [Matthew 7:21-23] and God’s chosen people are NOT those people over in Rothschild’s state either. We would much rather listen to the lies of Satan than believe the truth of the word of God. There is only one means of salvation for everyone, and that is by faith in Christ Jesus. The new covenant was brought in for everyone, not just for the Hebrews, but for the whole world. There are some people teaching that the Hebrews are saved, or will be saved, a different way. That is a lie. And it is very easy to prove that directly from the word of God. For Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 It’s right there stated clearly in the word of God for all those with eyes to see and ears to hear. Those that have the Holy Spirit in them, the Holy Spirit will teach you ALL truth. Trust in Him to explain the true meaning of the word of God to you. Trust in no man, not even yourself and “lean NOT on your own understanding,” because we all have been taught a world full of lies from the time we were born. And those lies are being exposed today for everyone, yet not everyone can see, nor will they accept it because of their pride. I pray that all you reading this you may have eyes to see and ears to hear the truth of the word of God.

For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. But God found fault with the people and said:

“The days are coming, declares the Lord,
    when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel
    and with the people of Judah.
It will not be like the covenant
    I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
    to lead them out of Egypt,
because they did not remain faithful to my covenant,
    and I turned away from them,
declares the Lord.
This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel
    after that time, declares the Lord.
I will put my laws in their minds
    and write them on their hearts.
I will be their God,
    and they will be my people.
No longer will they teach their neighbor,
    or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know me,
    from the least of them to the greatest.
For I will forgive their wickedness
    and will remember their sins no more.”

By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear. ^{Hebrews 8:7-13}

God gives grace to the humble. He resists the proud of his love that is there and he wants to serve you in love. He’ll let you buckle your knees until you finally see. It’s all him and none of me. That’s out of love that allow that to occur. The bring you and may to the end of ourselves so that we can find him and to experience him and to be able to receive his servitude in my life. Lord, get off of your knees get up and your God let me watch your feet. said no, no, no. I’m here to wash yours. I came to serve you. That’s hard, isn’t it? It’s hard for our prideful minds to grasp but someone so great wants to serve someone so little. Until we think what God calls us and that’s his little children. See, we think we’re grown up and he says now you’re this little kid. We think we’re so smart. And he says no, your wisdom is but foolishness to me. And that’s why we have to come folks it doesn’t make a difference what age we do we have to come to the point of realizing that we’re no big deals were loved by God, we’re His creation. When we’re not smart, we really aren’t. We think we are don’t we? And we get educated far beyond our intelligence. And, and all of that type of thing. But no, we are not, you know, we’re not that smart, we think we are, but we’re not. And how to see if that can be to walk around thinking how smart we are. Because you see, that could also be very temporary, all it would take just a pretty good blow to the head, and you could be a blithering idiot. So you see, all of these things that we get so hung up on, are the things that destroy us in looking at life from a proper perspective. And a proper perspective is, it’s all God, he’s the initiator, he’s serving you and me, and to be able to bend our knee to that. And in so doing, all I’m saying on that is just to be able to face reality and say, a God if you want to serve me, I understand that. But like Peter said, then watch me all over, you know, don’t do not just my feet, but rather start with my head and do the whole thing. Because if that’s what you want to do, you have at it. You know, all that is, is an attitude of saying, Lord, you want to be a little bit of my God be all my God. We all have it, a little of it, all of it. Now folks, you cannot adopt that attitude, there is no way for you and me to come to the realization of that truth under the law. The law forces the flesh to try to behave. The law is constantly saying you should be behaving this way you should be doing this, you should be doing that you should be doing that it is constantly aimed at the flesh to behave in order to please this reluctant God that you’re trying to serve so that you can get some brownie points someplace down the line. Is that true or not? See, when you realize that God worked out an arrangement through this New Covenant whereby says it’s not your service. I’m gonna serve you. Now Bob, respond to me. It’s not that you love me, but it’s that I Love You first. And I’m going to show you so much of my love. That if you will just open up your heart to that to receive it. There’s nothing you got are going to be able to do except respond. That’s all just respond.” ~ Bob George

Growing up as I did in Indiana, my dad was an attorney. He was a very law abiding person as far as that goes, very moral person. But he taught us kids some right and wrong when we were young. And I don’t ever remember my life not doing something out of fear that I was going to get caught and put in jail. It wasn’t the case. I’m not going to do it. Because I’m fearful of the law. It was a case that I’m not going to do it because it’s not right to do and this is what is right to do. And I was more motivated by what was right to do than motivated for the repercussion of what would be wrong to do. And that’s exactly how God to His love comes to work with you and me. He comes to change our hearts in order to show us what is expedient for you. When he went away, he said it’s expedient for you. It’s good for you that I’m going away because when I do, I’m going to come and live in you It’s good for you. It’s expedient. It’s the thing Paul talked about when he said everything is is permissible, if it wasn’t permissible, it would be a law. So of course, it’s permissible, but it isn’t profitable. And I want to come with my love to show you what is profitable. And it causes you to think through things. As folks don’t ever think and be deceived for a minute, in the not realizing that what you think determines how you act, and that the source of your thinking, and a lot of the source of your thinking, comes from religious teaching. Folks, if pornography doesn’t hurt you, then good literature doesn’t help you. Don’t ever think that what you put into your mind doesn’t determine how you act with each other. Don’t ever think that growing up in a legalistic church does not affect the way in which you think and in which the way you treat one another don’t ever be deceived into thinking that that upbringing does not affect you. We live with a variables of upbringing. And it all affects us. Your life today has been affected by your upbringing by what has been pumped into your mind from youth on. Now the beauty of coming to Christ is the fact that he has the ability with a Spirit of God living in you to what do what with your mind? Renew it, change it. And that’s what this whole Christian life is about, as I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to be able to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable in the sight of God. Don’t be conformed to the world but be transformed how? By the renewing of your mind that I know your minds messed up. That’s what he came, I came to serve you I came to lead you into truth so that that truth can set you free. Why? Because I want to see you go free. I don’t want to see you in bondage. You’re my child. You’re my creation. I made you I love you. I see the same thing. The same thing. I don’t want to see my kids live in bondage. I don’t want to see my kids deceived. Because it hurts them. I want to see their minds renewed. And to come to truth and let truth set them free. Why I love them. And I want the best for them. I think what we understand is I can’t control that any more than God controls Eddie, I’m gonna cram that in you and get you down and cram you you got to be in a position of a willingness to receive and who doesn’t receive? They’ll No longer will need a man to teach his neighbor or man his brother saying know the Lord, because they’ll know me from the least to them to the greatest and I will forgive their wickedness I will remember their sins no more. And by calling this covenant new, he’s made the first one obsolete, and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.

Folks isn’t it amazing, the Bible says I’ve made the legal system the law that I gave, for one purpose only, and that is to show man to be perfectly sinful so that he would turn to Christ,for his love and for His grace, the law has now done its work. It has led you to Christ so that you can now be led internally by the Spirit of God living in you. Folks, let me back up for just a minute to show you another little thing is how easily we can get deceived. And I hope you understand when I’m saying these things. I am not saying what I’m saying to sit down and to try to give an impression to anybody that we’ve got some kind of total truth that we’re anti Baptist or anti Presbyterian or anti Catholic. I don’t I’m not only I’m not anti I really don’t care about them. Those are man made institutions. So it doesn’t I’m not even thinking about it. What I am thinking about is what is being taught. It’s what’s being taught. I have nothing against Nazarene or Baptists or Catholics. I know, you know, you’d have to know somebody have something against them. I have anything against people. I have something to against error that’s being taught. And if that steps on someone’s toes that’s just the way it is. Truth always steps on your toes. And that would not concern me either. If I didn’t know what error does the people. If error didn’t destroy you, which the Bible says that if truth set you free error is what binds you. If I didn’t know that error bound, you and me up and the one of the reasons I know it is not only do I sit your life, I’ve seen it mine. I know what the error of legalism does in my life. You can observe what legalism did in the life of the people called the Pharisees they got so mean that killed God. The most loving person who ever walked on the face of this earth, Jesus Christ hung him on a cross because they didn’t agree with him. So if you want to say what kind of a person does this legalism create? You just looked at him a Pharisee. Yet we still want to be under it. You want to get down to people who are teaching emotionalism, name it and claim it, blab it and grab i, prosperity gospel. Why do you talk against those things? If you need to talk again, it’s in the Bible. It says that a man who teaches that godliness as a means to financial gain is a man of a perverted mind. The Bible is much harsher on it than we are. Why? Well, because it deceive somebody. That’s why.

When someone’s trying to put you on some element of emotional trip all the time you become an emotional cripple where all you do is think about getting goosebumps all the time. Life is not full of goosebumps. Life is the stuff you were singing about. It’s stuff of trials and tribulations that come your way heartaches, disappointments, rejection from people. That’s what life’s about. In this world, you’re gonna have tribulation, but he said Fear not have overcome the world. But don’t try to overcome tribulation. The reason people are talking about those kinds of stuff is because they’re in love with the world. The Bible says a man is in love with the world the love of the Father is not any and yet we sit there and worship, give millions of dollars to people the love of the Father is not in them. Because all we’re interested in is making money and more money and more money and more money. The reason for going after and exposing those things is not because I want my doctrine to be right and yours is wrong. It’s because of knowing what that stuff does to people, and the most unstable people I know are the ones whose emphasis is on emotion. Instead of getting their mind renewed on truth, don’t confuse me with truth. My mind’s made up. I don’t need facts. I feel this way. And that brother that does it if you’re feeling that way, bro, that’s, that’s it. That’s the criteria for truth. I feel some way. You can jack your feelings all over the place. You can get your feelings jacked up in a secular concert. You can get all hyped up at a rock concert, and jump up and down and leap. And everything else you want to do at a rock concert. You don’t need God for that. I’m planning a kind of a upbeat music and get you all tapping your feet. You don’t need God for that just rhythm. You’re talking about getting your mind renewed coming to truth and getting your mind renewed so that you can think with your heads. And let the truth of that sink into your hearts. So that that truth can do exactly what God said it would do. And that’s set you free. To be free to do what? Free to be yourself. Just like the little kid free to be the kid. What pleases the father? Seeing the kid be himself. Cute little thing.

Now folks, this New Covenant that had to be brought into effect by God was brought in motivated by love. It was brought in so that you and I could be free. You cannot be free under the law. Period. So by calling verse 13, this covenant new he’s made the first one obsolete. Now again, the Bible says the law is obsolete. We say, boy keep hanging on to it. In other words, I don’t care what the Bible says I want to hang on to it. How come? I like my bondage. I like it live in that East Germany over there. It’s fun. Doesn’t matter to me the walls torn down. I like my bondage used to it. He said it’s been torn down.

Now verse chapter nine. The first covenant had its regulations for worship, and also an earthly sanctuary. So it had an earthly place and it had regulations for worship. If you want to worship here’s how you do it. A tabernacle was set up, it said in its first room where the lamp stand the table and the consecrated bread, which was called the holy place. And behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place, which had a golden altar of incense and the gold covered Ark of the covenant. The Ark contained the gold jar of manna, Aaron staff that had butted and the stone tablets of the covenant. That’s the 10 commandments. Above the ark were the cherubim of the glory overshadowing the Atonement Cover. But we cannot discuss these things in detail. Now. Neither mine when everything had been arranged like this, the priest entered regularly into the outer room to carry on their ministry. But only the high priest entered the inner room. Now, why is why is the author going through all of this? Well, he’s going to because he’s people very familiar. They’re talking about I read this and so what is all this? But it’s it’s like, what he’s saying here is this is what you’ve been doing. And I understand what you’ve been doing. It’s not like I’m some neophytes that know what’s going on. I know what this whole temple things about and this is what you’ve been doing. But I want to show you something better. This is what this whole thing is about. But only the high priests entered the inner room and then only once a year and never without blood which he offered for himself, and the sins of the people that have people have committed an ignorance. Now, he said that’s what you were doing with all of these regulations of worship. But he said the Holy Spirit was showing, by this that the way into the most holy place, not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still standing. This is an illustration for the present time indicating that the gifts and sacrifices being offered, were not able to clear the conscience of the worshiper. They are only a matter of food, drink and various ceremonial washings external regulations, applying until the time of the new order. All of these external. You see folks what we don’t understand is, again, we have brought over into so called Christian religion, our own external things. In other words, God had given a whole bunch of external things to the people of Israel in order to have a visual aid of the reality that was going to come in Christ. And so there were things so that we can see. So he gave the temple he showed the inner, the Holy of Holies, and all of those things. And they were visuals that a person could look at and say, yeah, and they said, but that’s a picture of their reality that is going to come in Christ. So Here Christ is come, and we come up and develop our own externals. We have our own stuff. And he said, there’s a new order that has come in, why are you bringing new stuff in, when there’s a new order that’s come in a New Covenant that’s that has come in. Now it goes ahead to say when Christ came as a High Priest, of the good things that are already there, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man made, that is to say, not a part of this creation. He didn’t enter by the means of the blood of goats and calves. But he entered the Most Holy Place once and for all, by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. He did it.

Folks, all of this is getting people back to Christ. So I said before, we do not realize how subtle religion is. And I’m not saying that, to set ourselves up. I’m saying it because it’s true. And it’s a reality, the subtlety of religion. We build our churches. And we say, Look at this. Look what we’ve done. And this is our regulation of worship, we got a baptistry back here, or we’ve got a sprinkling bowl. Or we’ve got this and we’ve got that that’s those are, those are all our regulations for worship. This is what we do in our earthly sanctuary. And if you want to belong, you come and join in with that. Let’s see Christ came to destroy all of that. We rebuilt, what he destroyed. The subtleties, folks. I don’t have anything against a person who wants to go to a Baptist church or Presbyterian Church, how can I have anything against that if that’s where a person wants to go? I don’t care where a person goes, and where he lives his life anyway. your Christian life isn’t lived here on Sunday morning, just an hour out of the week. I mean, if this is what you call the Christian life is what you do here you to be pitied of all people. You live your Christian life when you go home. It’s how do you behave at home with your kids. How do you how do you face things. What is your attitude toward things. That’s where you live your Christian life not in a service someplace. People come down you say what what? Whoa, well, what is this? Well, when you’ve rebuilt the structures, you’ve got an identity crisis folks that we’re dealing with constantly. It’s an identity do. I know people take that wrong sometimes, but I want to tell you, it is a sad commentary for someone to think that they’re a Baptist or a Presbyterian or a Methodist or a Nazarene or a Catholic. That is some dumb identity. It’s a real dumb identity. It in one God gave you God died on a cross and was raised from the dead in order to give you identity that is indestructible and eternal. A child of the living God you’ll be one of those forever. A child of the living God I want to want to rock around calling myself a People to Peopler or a Baptist or, or something when I’m a child of God. Why would I want to settle for a secondary identity your child a god you come and meet with some people, the people that’s fine But this is where you live your life anyway. You’re a child of God, you go meet for some people who go in this, you know, place down this building on the corner of walk and don’t walk down there they have this church office trying to make a difference what names aren’t just a building. Man’s named it, God doesn’t even know what it is. And we put our identities there. The very thing God came to destroy, we built up again. Say why the concern, Bob? Because what it does the people.

Do you know the majority of people today that I know who are teaching in one form or another, the fullness of the grace of God, that teaching began out of ministries that were dealing in some form of counseling or discipleship? You know why? Because when you’re dealing with those things, you got to deal with people. You can’t stand up at the pulpit and just let it out and say, Well, what effect did it have on anybody who cares? I don’t know. And I don’t see him. I separate I got my robot. I don’t know where the people’s guts are hanging out or not. I don’t know whether you’re hurting or not. I don’t know whether you’re going through divorce. I don’t know whether you’re going through trials and tribulations. What do I care, I deliver my message worked on all week, and had three points on a poem. You heard it. They all wrapped, they all rhymed together. Wonderful. took a week to prepare it. And so we get all of those type of things going and it’s impersonal. When you’re down, dealing with people on one on one basis and you’re dealing with people, I want to tell you what you’re learning had better work. And if it didn’t work, and you better take a look at what you’re being taught.
