Nothing But Jesus Can Give You LIFE!
~ Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. John 6:35
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live, even though he dies. And everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25,26
Nothing but Jesus can give you life. Your church can’t give you life. Your continually asking God to forgive you can’t give you life. Your belief in Satan’s lies can’t give you life. Your pastor can’t give you life. Your being good can’t give you life. Your self works of righteousness can’t give you life. Only Jesus and His resurrected Spirit can give you life from the dead.
The Truth of the gospel is hardly preached today, and when it is preached, it is buried in a bunch of lies. Most pastors are teaching Satan’s lies instead of the Truth of the word of God. They are teaching, hand-me-down lies that they themselves were taught when they went to cemetery school (seminary school), by dead people at best and demons at worst. And hardly a pastor alive repents of the lie of ongoing forgiveness. That right there, should be an indicator to all of us that most of these so-called “Christian” pastors are NOT saved. Why would anyone want to listen to the lies from Satan’s spokespeople, once they know the Truth of the word of God and of the truth of having had their sins taken away at the cross? Think about it. How much sense does it make to be taught by someone that doesn’t even have the proper foundation established, Jesus for LIFE? Because if they are off on the foundation, they will surely be off on EVERYTHING else.
And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, having done what, will I inherit eternal life?”
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good, except God alone.
~ “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12
~ Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one believing in Me, even if he should die, he will live. And everyone living and believing in Me shall never die, to the age. Do you believe this?” John 11:25,26
—
~ I speak the truth in Christ. I am not lying. My conscience testifies for me in the Holy Spirit 2that my grief is great, and unceasing sorrow is in my heart. For I could wish myself to be a curse, separated from Christ for my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh, who are Israelites, whose is the divine adoption as sons, and the glory, and the covenants, and the lawgiving, and the service, and the promises; whose are the patriarchs; and from whom is Christ according to the flesh, being God over all, blessed to the ages. Amen. And it is not as that the word of God has failed. For not all who are of Israel, are these Israel. Nor because they are seed of Abraham are all children. Rather, “In Isaac your offspring will be named.” That is, the children of the flesh, these are not children of God; but the children of the promise are regarded as offspring. For this is the word of the promise: “At this time I will come, and to Sarah there will be a son.” And not only so, but also Rebecca, having conception by one, Isaac our father, for they not yet having been born nor having done anything good or evil, so that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of the One calling, it was said to her, “The older will serve the younger.” As it has been written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.” What then shall we say? Is there injustice with God? Never may it be! For He says to Moses: “I will show mercy to whom I may show mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I may have compassion.” So then, it is not of the willing, nor of the running, but of God showing mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: “For this very purpose I have raised you up, so that I might show My power in you, and that My name should be declared in all the earth.” So then, He shows mercy to whom He wants, and He hardens whom He wants. Then you will say to me, “Why then does He still find fault? For who is resisting His purpose?” But rather, O man, who are you, answering against God? Shall the thing formed say to the One having formed it, “Why have you made me like this?” Or does the potter not have authority over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel unto honor, but one unto dishonor? And what if God, desiring to show the wrath and to make known His power, bore with much patience the vessels of wrath, having been fitted for destruction, that He might also make known the riches of His glory upon the vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory, even us, whom He has called not only out from the Jews, but also out from the Gentiles? As He also says in Hosea: “I will call that which is not My people, My people; and her not having been loved, having been loved,” and, “It will happen that in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ there they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’” And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the sons of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, only the remnant will be saved. For the Lord will perform the sentence He is concluding and bringing swiftly upon the earth.” And, as Isaiah foretold: “If the Lord of Hosts had not left us descendants, we would have become like Sodom, and we would have been made like Gomorrah.” What then will we say? That Gentiles, not pursuing righteousness, have attained righteousness, and righteousness that is by faith; but Israel, pursuing a law of righteousness, did not attain to that law. Why? Because it was not by faith, but as by works. They stumbled over the stone of stumbling, as it has been written: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense; and the one believing on Him will never be put to shame.” Romans 9:1-33
Pray to God:
Do you really want to know the WHOLE Truth of what is going on today?
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
Lord Jesus, teach me the truth of the world today and give me the wisdom to know the truth and identify the lies of the devil. Thank you God.”
~ “And that’s where folks, the fairness comes in with God. We come along and we say, well, what do I need to do to be saved? And there’s some people who think, well, it’s good works. And you say, Okay, how many good works would you have to do, and how many bad works would you have to do before you weren’t saved? How many bad works, how many bad things would you have to do before you would never be acceptable to get into the kingdom of God? And then how many good works would you have to do in order to be acceptable? And what if you just missed it by one? Think about those things, folks, this is what we do. I thought God graded on the curve all my life, until I came to Jesus and was hoping I was on the other side of the curve. But, you know, the problem with that is you get old enough to realize, I think I’ve crossed the mark. I don’t think I can live long enough to outdo these other things that I’ve done. And so we realize as to the fairness of God, that the consequence of sin is death, and all of us have been reduced to the position of spiritual death and in need of life, and the only life available to us is the life of Christ, Jesus, our Lord. Buddha, cannot give you life. Mohammed can’t give you life. The Pope can’t give you life. Luther can’t give you life. People to People can’t give you to life. Only Christ Jesus can give life to the dead. And the whole emphasis of the New Testament and salvation is regard to life and death. I came that you might have life. Why? Because you’re dead. I’m the resurrection and the life. And whosoever believes in me though he were dead, yet shall he live. The whole issue of salvation is death and life, and yet we have reduced salvation to forgiveness only, and that’s why we concentrate on the cross and absolutely forget the resurrection. In spite of the fact that Paul said, without the resurrection, we are to be pitied of all people, and are still in our sins, knowing full well a cross occurred, he said, you’re still in your sins apart from the resurrection. Why? Because the resurrection is where that forgiveness that was provided is received.” ~ Bob George

Let’s turn together to the book of Romans. To those of you that are visiting, I got a kick out of the comment. This is different. A lot of times, people think they’re coming into a banquet of some kind, that maybe it is a banquet, but it just don’t have any food, not real food, spiritual food. But again, we decided a long time ago to do this format, which is different than probably any other church you’ll ever go to. But the reason for it is it literally requires you to fellowship with people. It requires you to sit around a table and to visit with others. And that’s a very vitally important thing of the Christian life is not to just come and sit and soak but to be able to meet people, because in the final analysis, it’s your friends that are going to sustain you through the relationship that they have with the Lord, and so that’s the reason we do this. And I hope you feel comfortable here, and hope you’ll come back and see us whenever you can. We’d love to have you.
We have been talking prior to the two weeks that I’ve been gone through the book of Romans about how Paul was dealing with the Hebrew and the Gentile issue. And just as a matter of review, we have to put ourselves back to that place where they were then, where the only real voice on the face of the earth proclaiming the one true God. Were the HEBREWS. Then they were proclaiming the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. They did not know who that was. If you were to ask a Hebrew back then, who is your God? He’s the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. That’s as good as any of anybody knew. To the entire rest of the world, called the heathenistic world, which would also be your Arab world, as we see that conflict taking place today between the Jew and the Arabs. That’s the Gentile world. The Arabs are Gentiles, and you have Hebrews from God’s vantage point. There’s only three categories of people on the face of the earth, the Hebrew, the Gentile, and then what’s called the ecclesia, the called out ones who are born again, people made up of both born again Hebrews and born again Gentiles. And this was the mystery that God had in his heart since the beginning of the world, was to create a new man out of the two. And when you read the book of Ephesians, and also in the book of Romans dealing with predestination and with election, it is not the yous and mes, it’s the Hebrews and the Gentiles that God predestined, that the Gentile world would hear the same gospel that the Hebrew would hear, that the Gentiles would come to Christ the same way that the Hebrews would come to Christ, not through their works, but through faith in Christ, Jesus alone, and so he neutralized the Hebrews with the law, and then the Gentiles never had the law. Folks again, it’s for us to get into our minds. We were never given the law by God. We Gentiles just went over and stole it, but they never gave it to us, the law was given to the Hebrews when they left Egypt to keep them from killing themselves. And so he gave the law to the Hebrew not to create righteousness, but to create some sort of an ability for them to live together in righteousness. But it was not to create righteousness. The Hebrew took the law that God gave them to keep from total chaos, and they made a righteousness out of it that if you obey the law, you’ll be righteous.
Paul had to come in after his conversion and straighten all of these things out in the book of Romans and Ephesians and Philippians and all of the books that he wrote, and he explained to us what righteousness is. That there no man will ever be declared righteous in the sight of God through obedience to the law. No man will ever be declared righteous. That’s no man. No Hebrew will be declared righteous in the sight of God through obedience through the law. And you Gentiles who came and stole it from the Hebrews. You’re not either going to be declared righteous in the sight of God through obedience to the law. Righteousness is going to be imputed to you by God alone, and the only righteousness that you and I will ever stand in is his. We are clothed. We’re told in HIS righteousness. So none of us are going to stand. The presence of God, saying, Look at me, God, you know you said you love me, and no wonder I love me too. I’m so good and wonderful. No, you’re not. No, we’re not. We would have no righteousness at all if it were not for the righteousness imputed to us by Christ, Jesus. It is because of him we’re told that you are in Christ, Jesus, who has become for us our righteousness, our holiness, He has become for us our everything. And apart from Christ, we can do what? Nothing, absolutely nothing.
And so you had this conflict between the Hebrew and the Gentile, to the Hebrew who thought that we are God’s chosen people because we have the laws and we have the prophets and we have all of these things. And Paul explains, yes, that’s true, but you don’t have righteousness apart from me, and we have to understand that conflict. To the Gentile world, we were heathenistic. Our roots are heathenistic Idol worshiping heathens, that’s we were called. Did Jesus not refer to the Gentiles as what? What did he call us? Dogs. Now that’s a little insulting for us who think we’re quite something. You know to be called a dog by Jesus, but that’s what he said. He gives crumbs to who? The dogs. And so we don’t need to walk around thinking so highly of ourselves. Of course, we all do. And if you don’t believe that, when you go to look at that directory out there, guess which picture you will pick out very first of all. But at any rate, that’s the that’s the Hebrew. To the Gentile. The Gospel then went to the Gentile. This was a part of this mystery that God said, that Christ will go to the Gentile the same way as to the Hebrew. Unthinkable to the Hebrew. The Gentile world grabbed a hold of the gospel, and it started spreading through the Gentile world. Well, after a while, we got all cocky and puffed up, saying, we’re really God’s chosen people. Look at those Hebrews over there. They didn’t accept anything, and so they got all puffed up. And Paul has to address both of these cases in the book of Romans, to the Gentiles, he’s saying, don’t get all puffed up. He get rid of you too. And to the Hebrew, he’s saying, Don’t be puffed up. Yes, you did have the law, you had the prophets, but you didn’t have salvation until you came to Christ by faith. So he neutralized the whole world, put us all on one basis, and said, You’re all dead.
And that’s where folks, the fairness comes in with God. Why? Because the resurrection is where that forgiveness that was provided is received.
And as I mentioned before, as the weeks before I left, that it’s like me saying to you, I put a million dollars in your bank. And I’ve also made arrangement that anytime anything you spend, it’s replenished, so you’ll always be a millionaire. And you say, where is that money? Well, it’s in the First National Bank of Dallas. Well, I don’t like that bank. Can I get it at Bank One? No, it’s not available at Bank One. Can I get an ATM machine? No, I’m sorry, it’s not available at the ATM. Where can I get the money? At the First National Bank of Dallas. Well, I’m not going to that bank. Then you know what you’re going to do. You’re going to die in your poverty, even though you’ve got a million dollars in your bank account. You’re going to die in your poverty because you refuse to go to where your money is located.
And it’s the same thing with salvation. Salvation is in Christ, Jesus. There’s no other name given among men whereby you must be saved. If you want salvation, you got to go to Jesus. People say, I don’t want to go to Jesus, then you’re not going to be saved. It’s that simple. It is not that you’re dogmatic. It’s practical. There’s only one person that can give life to the dead that’s the resurrected Christ. Who do you have your faith in? Someone that’s been raised from the dead or someone who hasn’t? If Christ, Jesus, that’s the meaning of the resurrection. And folks, it is so discouraging to me, because Amy and I go different places, and when we go places, we’re around people who aren’t saved all the time. This is nice being here. We’re all together. But when you go on vacation, you’re around lost people. And I mean, these people are really lost. You’ve got lost, you got lost, lost. And these people are lost, lost, lost. And you can talk to them, it’s like talking to a wall, and I’m very serious on that, and you sit there and you say, When are you going to come to your senses? It was like when I went back to my 50th high school reunion that that that was not mine. I, you know, I was a lot younger than that, but I just went back to it. But they made the mistake. My high school people made a mistake of asking me to come back and to be the emcee for the banquet. Now they knew what I did, but they didn’t know what I was going to do. And so I went back and I did the funny stuff, and I did all those things, and then at the end of it, I said, very silly guys, we are at the end of this life. When you celebrate your 50th year of high school graduation, you’re on your way down, and you’re on your way out, and there’s not many years left, and a lot of the people that I graduated with are dead today, and so what I’m here today to you is to tell you how you can know that you have eternal life, because you’re going to go home, and all this fun and games is going to go over the wayside, but what you do with what you’re going to hear today is going to determine where you’re going to spend eternity, whether you’re going to spend it in hell or whether you’re going to spend it in heaven. And the most loving thing I can do for you is to tell you how you can have eternal life. Some of you may not like it, but I’m going to tell you anyway. And I told them, and I was right. Some of them didn’t like it, but they’ll never stand before God saying I didn’t hear that’s one thing for sure. They will never be able to stand before God and say, I did not hear the gospel.
So you have people, and you think, well, everybody, doesn’t everybody want to have Jesus? The answer is no to say, why? I don’t know. I don’t know the answer to that. Outside of the fact that God says, I give grace to the humble, but I resist the proud. And the only people that are not going to accept Christ are the proud, the people that say, I don’t need him, I’m good enough. And there are a lot of people who live that way. A lot of people who live to say, you know, heard a person say to me one time, you know, I could never commit murder, well, I said, well, then you only need 90% Jesus. And if you could never commit murder and you could never commit adultery, you’d only need 80% Jesus, and just think you may get good enough someday when you don’t need him at all.

And that’s what people do. They say, I don’t need a lot of Jesus. They kind of got a brill cream theology. Just a little dab will do you. I’m about 80% okay. I just need a little dab of Jesus to be okay. No, you don’t. You need 100% of Jesus. There’s not one thing in the 10 Commandments that we’re not capable of committing, not a one. And the issue is, what we have to do is to realize that, and Jesus came when he was here on this earth, to amplify that truth. He amplified the law. He said the law says, don’t commit adultery. I say to you that if you that if you look at a woman with lust in your heart, you’ve already committed adultery. And all the men say, I’ve had it. He said, Yeah. And the women say, I’ve had it too, because you’re fantasizing same thing. And he said, the Bible says don’t be commit murder. I say, if you’re angry at somebody, you’ve already committed murder in your heart. And we say, how many of us have gone through this life and never been angry at somebody? What does that tell us about ourselves? If you’re capable of getting angry, you’re capable of murdering now, that shouldn’t be discouraging to us. That ought to tell us truth, and that’s what Jesus came to do. He came to prepare us for what he came to do. He came to take away the sins of the world and to give life to the dead. If I don’t see I’m dead, what I need with his life. If I don’t see I’m a sinner, what do I need of this forgiveness.
This Mel Gibson field that everybody comes out, people are talking about, oh, the Jews are offended because they say, the Jews killed Jesus. I killed Jesus. I’m not a Jew. My sins. Killed Jesus. Didn’t yours. He died for the sins of the world. Jews sins, Gentile sins. And people say, Oh, that’s going to make people if you think that the Jews were they behind the death of Jesus, absolutely. Paul said that he killed them. They were the instigators behind the death of Jesus. Who carried out the execution? The Romans, the Gentiles. That means we’re all guilty. And I say if you’re going to get mad, because Mel Gibson has a dramatic film on the fact, showing how Jesus died and who was instigating and killing him, then quit showing movies about the Holocaust, because that’s an offense to me, because I’m a Gentile, and you’re talking about Hitler, and he was a Gentile, that makes me look bad as a Gentile. That’s nonsense, and we have to understand that as nonsense. But that’s how people are. We’re so sensitive about these things. You know, I don’t care what Hitler did. I don’t have anything to do with Hitler. And just because the Jewish leaders back in there instigated the death of Jesus, that doesn’t mean today, if you’re a Jew, you’re a part of that. But there’s a lot of people who feel that way, and they’re scared to death that there’s going to be some kind of a retaliation against the Jewish people because of a film. Well, then how come there’s not a retaliation of the Gentiles over the films about Hitler? And so it’s time for us to sit back and to start thinking and using our minds that God gave us to think these things through and to be praise God that there is a film coming out that’s finally going to depict the death of Jesus as it is. In the Bible says, beaten as no man, tortured as no man. And I believe, from what I understand, this film depicts it. I can’t wait to see it.
Well, let’s get on with what the Scriptures are talking about here then. It says in verse 30 of chapter nine, what shall we say then, that the Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness, the Gentiles were not pursuing righteousness, they were pursuing fun and games, but they’ve obtained righteousness. Said, Yeah, that’s right, a righteousness that is by faith. Said, Yeah, you got it. But Israel, who precede a law of righteousness, have not attained it. Said, Yeah, you got it. Why not? Now isn’t that a logical question? Why haven’t we, who have been trying to be righteous? Why haven’t we obtained righteousness? When these Gentiles over here haven’t been trying at all, and you say they’ve attained righteousness, does that sound fair? It doesn’t sound fair. I’m trying. And you know, you get people today say, Well, I say you can’t obey the law, I know, but I’m trying. Well, that’s like trying to jump over 100 foot crevice you’re not going to make. It doesn’t make any difference whether you get two inches to the other side or you strip as you jump, you’re not going to make it. So trying is not the issue. The issue is, do you want to stand in the presence of God righteous? Because you’re not going to stand in front of a righteous God unless you are righteous. Are we together? So how many of you want to be righteous? Okay, how many are going to get it on your own? Nobody that you’re going to have to stand clothed, as it says, In the righteousness of Christ, Jesus and so to the Hebrews say, Well, we’re working at it, and they’re not, I know, but the working of it’s not going to get it, and you’re working it up, but you didn’t get it. You failed. And so we’ve all failed, All have sinned, all have fallen short, have we not of the glory of God? So it says they’ve not attained it. Why not? Well, because they pursued it, not by faith, but, as it were, by works. They were trying to work their way for acceptance in God. Folks, think about for a moment in relationships, if you have to work at being accepted, how many of you ever tried to work at being accepted, say, by your parents or by your mates? I’m going to work at it. Does it work? No, it seems like the harder you work, the more you get rejected, you can’t work at acceptance. You love one another. Is that a sign someone’s going to love you back? Did Jesus love people? Did they all love him back? No. So when we love people, are they all going to love you back? If you go out and do something nice for somebody are they going to say, Oh, that’s good. I’ll do something nice for you. Some might, some may not. So in other words, you have to keep your eyes off of results. Results are always in the hands of God. Never can you produce results. I can make up a decision that I’m going to go help somebody be nice to somebody. Well, what are the results? Are that going to be that’s up to God. That’s up to God. I can’t control that. And sometimes I like the results, and sometimes I don’t, don’t you?
And so he’s saying to us, it doesn’t make any difference how hard you’re working. It isn’t going to work. They stumbled over the stumbling stone. Now, who’s the stumbling stone here? It’s Jesus. They stumbled over him. They didn’t want to think that there’s a man that you can come to that will provide for me everything that my heart has ever wanted, every desire My heart has been met in Christ Jesus. It cannot be met in my wife. It can’t be met in my kids. It can’t be met in you. It has to be met in Christ Jesus. The desire every man has an insatiable desire to be loved unconditionally, to be accepted unconditionally, and to have meaning and purpose to your life. Every person sitting in this room has an insatiable desire for that to be loved unconditionally, to be accepted. Will somebody just accept me for who I am, and to have meaning and purpose to life. Why am I getting up in the morning? Am I right or wrong? Now, folks, here’s where the catch comes. Satan comes along and says, Oh, that’s a need of the soul. What you got for Mom and Dad, you’re you can get that met with people and places and things, and so we get married thinking, well, that you know, she’ll provide unconditional love to me. Is that true? I’m not talking about my wife, I’m talking about yours. Oh, they’ll accept me unconditionally. My husband will accept me unconditionally, so true, and when I get married, I’m going to have meaning and purpose to life. All my life, I’ve known full well, if I could just get married, I’d have meaning and purpose to life. I got some people sitting in my office saying, If I could just get married, I’d be the happiest person alive. And I got the next person come in and say, If I could just get divorced, I’d be the most happy person in life. And you feel like saying, I’d like to get you guys together, these two. Folks, the desires that we have to have meaning and purpose to life and to have unconditional love and acceptance is not a need of the soul. It’s a need of the spirit.
Now, what separates the human kingdom from the animal kingdom is the fact that a dog, as an example, has a soul. Your soul is your internal personality, your mind, your emotion, your will. The dog has a will, we know that. And it has a mind. That’s debatable, but sometimes and they have emotion. You can see their dog, their little tail wag when they’re happy. They have emotion, but they don’t have a spirit. A dog is not sitting around contemplating God. A man is not sitting around with a God shaped vacuum, or a dog with a God shaped vacuum in his heart. Man does. That’s his human spirit. We’re born into this world. As it said, there’s a God shaped vacuum in the heart of every man that can only be filled by His Son, Jesus Christ. You walk through this life until the day that you came to Christ as your Lord and Savior. You walked through this life with a vacuum wanting to know something that you don’t know, knowing that something is missing. Am I right or wrong? And I don’t know what it is that’s missing, but something’s missing. And you go through life like that, and then all of a sudden, as I did with age 36 I accepted Jesus, and everything was fulfilled. And you sit and said, I could have done that when I was six. Why did I have to wait to 36 to come to Jesus? And it’s like the Lord said to you, you’d have some compassion on people who are lost. And that’s exactly right. Why do the things happen to us that happen to us so that we can take the same comfort that we’ve received from God and pass that on to others with that same comfort that we’ve received from God.
And so we realize that that’s a need of the soul. That’s not a spiritual it’s a need that cannot be met, excuse me, through the soul. It’s a spiritual need, and your need for unconditional love and unconditional acceptance and meaning and purpose to life is a need that can only be met in Christ Jesus period, that can’t be met out here. Now, when we don’t understand that, and you see, Hebrews says that the Word of God is sharper than a two edged sword. It divides asunder the soul from the Spirit. So we do need to argue whether there’s a difference between the soul and the spirit. There’s a difference and the spiritual aspect has needs, just like your soul has needs and your body has needs, and if you’re not met, you’ll die. So does your spirit have needs. You have a need to be loved unconditionally. You have a need to be. Accepted unconditionally, and you have a need to have meaning and purpose to life. Now Satan comes along and says, you can get those needs met out here. And God says, No, you can’t. You see when I don’t understand that that need for unconditional love and acceptance cannot be met in my wife or my kids. It can only be met in God. And if I don’t understand that, we become like ticks on a dog and married, sucking the life at each other, trying to get our mates to meet those needs. I got a need for unconditional love meet it. They say I can’t. Well, I gotta, need to be loved unconditionally and to be accepted. Will So will you just accept me the way I am? No, can’t be done. Can you give me meaning and purpose to life? Well, maybe go into the ministry that’ll give you meaning and purpose to life. No, it’ll give you headaches, but it won’t give you meaning and purpose to life. There’s only one person that’ll give you meaning and person with purpose to life, and that’s Christ, Jesus and folks, until you have come to rest in Him, and I’m talking about abiding, I’m talking about resting in Him, and you have come to him saying, Lord, there’s no one else that can give me unconditional love, unconditional acceptance and meaning and purpose to life, except you and you alone. And I am getting rid of these concepts that somebody else can do it, that my wife can do it, or my husband do it, or my kids can do it. I’m getting rid of that. It’s not true. It’s an unrealistic expectation, and I’m counting on you and you alone, to bring to me the needs of my heart. The basic needs of my heart are met in you. That’s why we talked about before I left, what did Paul say? I’m convinced of something. What’s he convinced of? Nothing can separate me from the love of God. Trials can’t, death can’t, tribulation can’t, hardships can’t, knowing all these things, he said, We are more than conquerors through him who loved us. And I’m convinced that nothing can separate us from the love of God.
