Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P07 (10-14-24)
There Are Those Today That Are Suppressing The Truth of God and Are Gatekeepers
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven upon all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, SUPPRESSING the TRUTH by unrighteousness, because the known of God is manifest among them, for God has revealed it to them. For from the creation of the world His invisible qualities, both His eternal power and divinity, are clearly seen, being understood by the things made, for them to be without excuse.” Romans 1:18-21
~ Most people don’t understand this today, because we have all been deceived by Satan and his transformed ministers today. There is gatekeeping going on all over the place.. Satan and the demons are suppressing the TRUTH of God, by unrighteousness. And we have ALL fallen for it. First off, almost no one teaches the Truth of the Word of God concerning Salvation, and having the Holy Spirit come to live in a person for Life. Most teach the lie of ongoing forgiveness. And it doesn’t matter which group of religious institutions you look at today, Catholicism or Protestantism, they are two sides of the same coin. They both teach the lie of coming to Jesus to get your sins forgiven. They have SUPPRESSED the TRUTH.
Then there are those that have SUPPRESSED the TRUTH in regards to natural relations, between male and female, and people believe it is okay to have unnatural relations, because after all that is what the world teaches, that’s what they see on television, that’s what they are told at school, that is what the government says is okay, and they don’t want to feel uncomfortable teaching TRUTH in regards to that. And it has gotten much much worse than most people imagine. For there are THOSE that have deceived everyone today in this season of deception, and have INVERTED EVERYTHING imaginable. So that is SUPPRESSED TRUTH.
Then there are those that SUPPRESS the TRUTH in regards to Creation, and who the Creator is, Jesus, God in Flesh is the Creator of Everything seen and unseen. Yet there are those that SUPPRESS the TRUTH of that. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” John 1:1-5
There are also those who SUPPRESS the TRUTH in regards to the Earth realm we live on, and the heavens we see, and not Trusting in the word of God over the testimony of Man. And we all fell for it, and have repeated what Man has said instead of declaring what God has said. “He set the earth on its foundations, never to be moved.” Psalm 104:5 “And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.” Genesis 1:6-8
“And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.” Genesis 1:14-19
And instead of trusting in God’s word, we trusted in the testimony of Man. It’s time to wise up today in the Holy Spirit, and ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom, and He will give it with great abundance without finding fault. Don’t be a TRUTH suppressor yourself. Be set apart by TRUTH, for Jesus is TRUTH. Listen to TRUTH today. Glorify God. Let Him direct your paths, for those who are in Christ Jesus are the temple of God, and as such He wants to use each of us to share TRUTH today.

~ Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called an apostle, and set apart for the gospel of God— the gospel He promised beforehand through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, regarding His Son, who was a descendant of David according to the flesh, and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. Through Him and on behalf of His name, we received grace and apostleship to call all those among the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith. And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ. To all in Rome who are loved by God and called saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being proclaimed all over the world. God, whom I serve with my spirit in preaching the gospel of His Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you in my prayers at all times, asking that now at last by God’s will I may succeed in coming to you. For I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you, that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith. I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, how often I planned to come to you (but have been prevented from visiting until now), in order that I might have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the other Gentiles. I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish. That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome. I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Judaean [Ἰουδαίῳ (Ioudaiō)], then to the Greek. For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven upon all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, suppressing the truth by unrighteousness, because the known of God is manifest among them, for God has revealed it to them. For from the creation of the world His invisible qualities, both His eternal power and divinity, are clearly seen, being understood by the things made, for them to be without excuse. For having known God, they glorified Him not as God, or were thankful; but they became futile in their thinking and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and they changed the glory of the immortal God into a likeness of an image of mortal man and birds and quadrupeds and creeping things. Therefore God gave them up in the desires of their hearts to impurity to dishonor their bodies between themselves, who changed the truth of God into falsehood, and reverenced and served the created thing beyond the One having created it, who is blessed to the ages! Amen. Because of this, God gave up them to passions of dishonor. For even their females changed the natural use into that contrary to nature. And likewise also the males, having left the natural use of the female, were inflamed in their desire toward one another, males with males, working out shame and receiving in themselves the recompense which was fitting of their error. And as they did not see fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a depraved mind, to do things not being proper; being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness; gossips, slanderers, hateful to God, insolent, arrogant, boastful; inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents; foolish, untrustworthy, heartless, unmerciful; who having known the righteous judgment of God, that those doing such things are worthy of death, not only are practicing them, but are also approving of those practicing them.” Romans 1:1-32
Pray to God:
Do you really want to know the WHOLE Truth of what is going on today?
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
Lord Jesus, teach me the truth of the world today and give me the wisdom to know the truth and identify the lies of the devil. Thank you God.”
~ “Now he is going to in the next number of chapters, basically from verse 18 here, down through 30, he’s going to be talking to the Gentile world. This book is the book of Romans, and the book of Romans is written to Gentile Christians, Gentile people in Rome. And so even though it is applicable to the entire world, it’s basically focused toward the Gentile world. And so he is saying that the wrath of God. Now, what is the wrath of God? The wages of sin is what? Death. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who do what? Suppress the truth.
Folks, that is the root of sin. You are suppressing the truth. What does that mean? I’m keeping it down. I’m suppressing it. I’m keeping it under wraps. I’m not paying any attention to it. What I’m going to pay attention to it is what I believe is right and what I believe is wrong. Now you remember in the Garden of Eden. And if you go back to Genesis two, you will see in the Garden of Eden that God said to Adam and Eve on the day you eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, you will surely die. He didn’t say, I’m going to paddle you. He didn’t say, I’m going to send you the woodshed. He said you’re going to die on the day that you determine that I can determine right from wrong and good from evil on my own. I do not need God. I will do it on my own. You’re going to die to who? The God Who said you can’t determine that. You died to truth. You suppressed the truth of God and said, I’ll do it my way, just like Sinatra’s song, I’ll do it my way. And on the day that you decide you’re going to do it your way instead of my way, I’m going to pull out of here.” ~ Bob George

Well, let’s turn to the book of Romans. We talked about last week, where Paul is talking about, I’m not ashamed of the gospel. We discussed how that he went into Rome. This is a place that was full of pomp, full of tradition, powerful, powerful armies. They were the epitome of what you would think of as a powerful nation, even more so than ours in many respect. And in the midst of this, why were all kinds of philosophies, as takes place, and intellectualism. And it was into this group of people who thought that they were wiser because they were more powerful than any nation of the world, and therefore, in many instances, thought they were wiser than anyone in the world. And Paul enters into that environment and says, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And the reason I’m not ashamed of it is because it’s the power of God unto salvation. That there is no salvation through being strong, there’s no salvation through being pompous and and no salvation through being right, as we would call it, politically correct. There’s no salvation in any of those things. There’s only one place for salvation to occur, and that’s in Christ Jesus, and I’m not ashamed of that gospel. He said that it’s the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes. And what he is talking about there is both Hebrew and Gentile. And as we discussed last week, that God has categorized humanity only in three categories, Hebrew, Gentile and the ecclesia, church, which is made up of born again people, both from the Hebrew world and from the Gentile world. He doesn’t have all the denominations and mixes that we have just two categories, Hebrew and Gentile. Both are born lost, both in need of salvation, and when they are saved. They’re called the church, the ecclesia, which means the called out ones. And so he says, first this gospel is going to go to the Hebrew, which it did. And on the Day of Pentecost, the gospel was announced, in its fullness, to who? The Hebrew community from all over the world.
And then later on, you see Cornelius as the first Gentile convert. And therefore the gospel opened up to the Gentile world. And Paul was the one who was called by God to be the one who would take this message to the Gentile world. We’ve talked about how unusual that is, because here is Paul that probably was one of the most intellectual Hebrew scholars that the world has ever known. And you would think that God would say, Oh, there’s the man to go reach the Hebrews. He said, No, no, I’m gonna, I’m gonna get this fisherman that doesn’t have any education to go reach the Hebrews, and I’m gonna use Paul, the intellectual Hebrew to go reach the dumb Gentiles. So God uses people not in accordance with their natural talents, but He uses people who are available to him to be used by him, and you can’t be used by him when you’re depending upon your own assets for the accomplishment of God’s work. And so he said, This is a gospel. It’s going first to the Hebrew and then to the Gentile. And then he says, in this gospel, this is an unthinkable thing for a Hebrew to say, for in this gospel, a righteousness from God. If you mark your Bibles, mark it a righteousness from God has been revealed.
Now until the righteousness from God had been revealed, there was only one kind of righteousness, and that’s self-righteousness, and that’s exactly what the religious community had built its life around, was the fact that I’m making myself righteous in the sight of God through keeping the law and through my obedience to the law, and that’s what’s making me righteous, and that’s why we built law on top of law on top of law. The Hebrews did, and they were diligent to say that I’m keeping that and also diligently to pointing fingers at you that you are not. And so their righteousness became self-righteousness, and. And so Paul is saying all of that kind of righteousness is dung. That’s how I used it, dung to me, compared to that of knowing Christ and really saying that there’s a righteousness from God that I have plugged into. So our righteousness does not come from anything we do. Our righteousness comes from everything that he did. It’s a gift of God. Righteousness is imputed to you and me by God, and we cannot improve on that through our own works. And so he says, Here’s a righteousness from God that is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith in Jesus from first to last, and just as it is written, The righteous will live by faith.
Now he is going to in the next number of chapters, basically from verse 18 here, down through 30, he’s going to be talking to the Gentile world.
And on the day that you decide you’re going to do it your way instead of my way, I’m going to pull out of here.
I always say that salvation is like the two steering wheeled car, the driver’s education car. You get in the car, and you look over and there’s another steering wheel next to you, and Jesus is sitting in it, and he says, we’re going to take a trip, and I want to tell you something, Bob, I’m willing to drive us there, and when I do, we’re going to make good time. We’re going to have a ball. Now, if you want to drive and you put your hands on the wheel, I’m going to take my hands off the wheel, because I’m not going to struggle with you. And when I take my hands off the wheel and you have yours on the wheel, we’re going to bump into things and go down hills and ram into stuff. I’ll ram in there with you, but I want you to know that I’m not going to be fighting you in regard to control of this car. If you want to control it, I’m going to sit back and let you do it and show you the results of it. And whenever you’re tired of bumping into cars and bumping into poles and you’re willing to let go of the wheel and let me drive. We’re going to take a good trip, take the bus and leave the driving to us.
Now, folks, that’s exactly what happened in the Garden of Eden of God, saying to man on the day that you want to grab a hold of that wheel and drive, I’m pulling out of here. And that is exactly what happened to Adam, the Spirit of God that was meant to live in man, because God and the man is indispensable to the humanity of the man. And the very day that man said, I don’t need you God, God pulled out of the equation and said, You’re on your own. You’re going to drive the car yourself, and I’m going to show you the result of it, and you’re going to live to see the result of trying to run your life apart from God. And on that day, Adam died. What did he die from? The life of God. That’s what death is. The absence of something the life of God departed from him, and in his human spirit, he died to God, but very much alive to himself and his own resources and the human spirit is there saying, I’ll do it my way, not God’s way.
And so we have another, another dealing in the book of Romans with that very problem, that the wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against this godlessness and wickedness of men who do what? Suppress the truth. Say, I don’t need you God. I’ll determine it on my own. Now, it says that this truth from God can be known about God. You don’t have to wonder if there’s a God or not. It says it’s plain to all of us, because God has made it plain to us. And folks, you look around and you see the magnificence of this world, and say, this happened by the Big Bang. And then we have people who suppress the truth of God and say, Oh no, God didn’t create us. We came here through the Big Bang Theory. And that’s like two Cadillacs crashing together and making a bunch of Volkswagens. And it’s about as smart as that. There’s no way that you can take a look at the human being and how intricate we’re made, and how you put food that’s digested in a certain way and it goes into different parts of your bodies and all this thing, and take a look at a human body and say this was by accident. Go watch a birth sometime. Those of you that have had the privilege of watching the birth of one of your children or your grandchildren, take a look at that birth and say there is no God. It’s the most magnificent thing that you’ll ever see or experience. I defy a person to watch the birth of a baby and not cry when you see the magnificence of God in His creation.
So it says, It’s plain to you, you have to be a blind as it says, fool to say there is no God. And that’s how God describes a person who claims that there is no God, he says there’s a fool. Like that sign that said God is dead, sign, Nietzsche, and then the other sign that said Nietzsche’s dead. Sign, God. You have to be a fool to say there is no God according to the scripture. And so it’s made plain to us because God made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world, he said, God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power, the divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made so that man is without excuse. I think of in my early days of being a Christian, of being met with the question, Well, what about the heathen in Africa?
And I questioned that, well, what about those people that maybe don’t hear and what happens there? And I was very excited when I went to a conference one time, and I sit right next to a little guy from Biafra. He’s about five foot tall, little bitty guy, and he was from Biafra. I couldn’t wait for the break because I wanted to challenge him. And I said to him at the at the break, I said, Joshua, got a question for you. He said, What about the heathen in Africa? Little Joshua said, Well, let me tell you about that. He said I was one of those. And he said we worshiped an idol that my dad had carved out of a tree, and I knew where the idol came from. I saw Dad carve it, and we set that in the middle of our table, and we worshiped that idol. And he said, One day I was sitting there thinking about and he said, You know, I know who made the idol. My dad made it. And he made it out of a tree. What I want to know is who made the tree. And he said he used to stand out on this cliff and look up to the sky and say, whoever you are up there, I want to know who made the tree. I want to know who made this place. I know who made the idol, but who made the tree. And he said, while I was sitting there crying out, God, I want to know you. God was putting in the heart of some missionary in New York to come into my village and tell me about Jesus. And he said, One day he walked in, the first person he talked to was me, and he told me who made the tree, God Jesus. And I became a Christian. And I went back and told my family, and they became Christians, and we went into the village over there, and they became Christians. And now I’m living over in Los Angeles, trying to save the heathen in America. That’s the answer to what about the heathen in Africa?

And he said, these qualities have been clearly seen. They’ve been understood, so that men are without excuse. Now you’re without excuse, when you deny the sovereignty of God, you’re without excuse. When you’re suppressing the knowledge of God, you’re without excuse. The Bible says, Don’t make up excuses. You’re without excuse. It’s clear to you. You can see it when you refuse to see it, you’re without excuse. Now he said, although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God or gave thanks to him. They knew there was a God. They’ve seen. They’ve seen the evidence of it. I imagine, if you’re like me, I don’t ever remember a time in my life where I did not believe in God. Were you kind of that way? You just kind of grew up believing in God. Kind of was obvious to me that there was a God, and I wasn’t it. It was pretty obvious to me. I never but I didn’t know him. I didn’t glorify him. I didn’t give thanks to Him. And it says that when a person continues in that mindset, Yeah, I know there’s a God, but I don’t listen to him. I got my intelligence to rely on. He says God did something. He said they’re thinking because of the mindset that says I don’t need God. It causes something to happen to our thinking. And he said, our thinking became futile and our hearts became foolish, and our hearts became darkened, a Darkened Heart where it has no conscience anymore.
It’s like the buddy of mine that said he remember the time that he and his wife walked into a pizza parlor and it was so dark he couldn’t even see the weight of the table. And after a while, the waiter came up, and he led them, stumbled them to the table. He said, he sat down after a while, and after a while, he could see the checkered tablecloth on the table. And he said, after a while, someone hand him a menu, and he could read the menu. Said, nobody turned up the lights. I just became accustomed to the darkness. And that’s what happens. Our hearts get darkened. We have no awareness of good and evil and right and wrong. We can do anything we want to, and that’s okay. Our hearts have become darkened, insensitive to the things of God. And he said, That’s a byproduct of denying, not denying God, but a denying that God is truth. It’s not denying the existence of God, it’s denying the fact that I don’t need to listen to him. I got my own standards. I got my own ways of looking at things. I don’t need to listen to God. And he says, When that occurs, something happens to our hearts. He said, it becomes futile. It becomes foolish. Man thinks he’s wise, and God says, man’s wisdom is but foolishness to God, and our hearts become darkened. And although they claim to be wise, they became fools. And that is exactly what happens when a man says, This is what God says.
But that’s old fashioned guys. Don’t you understand that that Bible was written 1000s of years ago? We live in a 21st century. Have you heard that? We live really? Just how different Do you think you are from Adam, except you got clothes on? Just how much different Do you think you are from Moses or from Abraham? Just how much different Do you think you are. Mankind is mankind. and it hadn’t changed a bit according to the Bible. So there is no such thing as, Oh well, that’s, that’s old time stuff. No, no, that’s real stuff. That’s real. And so he says, they claim to be wise became fools. And here’s what started happening, and it’s what exactly we see going on today, not only in this country in unbelievable proportions, but all over the world. Nothing new. It almost ruined Rome. Came to the point where the Roman Empire was having difficulty, because there was no population being created because of people who had said, I don’t need God to determine right from wrong, good from evil. You don’t understand God. You don’t know what feels good. And my heart became foolish and it became darkened. And what happened? They became fools, and they began to exchange the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles began to be idol worshipers. And folks, you know, there’s more idol worshipers than what you can carve out of wood. We can make idols out of booze, drugs, sex, church. We can make idols out of anything, can’t we? And that’s what happened to them. And therefore, he says a continuation of that mindset, whether it’s you or me, that says, I do not need God to determine right from wrong and good from evil. God says, you’re on your own. You’ve let go, I’ve let go of the wheel, and I’m going to give you over to drive the car. You want to be independent, I’m going to let you be independent. You want to do it your way. I’ll let you do it your way, and you’re going to see the results, but I’ll let you do it your way. That’s love. God gave us a free will, did he not? And God says, I’m not going to violate your free will. You have the right to choose right from wrong and good from evil. You can either choose right from wrong as a result of what I have said is right and wrong, or you can choose it on your own, but if you decide to choose it on your own, you’re on your own.
And so he gave them over in sexual desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their body bodies with one another. This is the ultimate that can take place because of a Darkened Heart and a darkened mind, and a mind that says, I’m going to do it my way. And he says that I turn them over to the sense sinful desires of their hearts, sexual impurity and the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator. They served and worshiped what God created rather than the one who created it. God created man. I began to worship man instead the One who created man.
Now he says, it says the creator who is forever praised, amen. He said, this is truth. Now because of this, it says now because of what? Of making a determination that I do not have to listen to God, I’m going to determine what’s right and what’s wrong. I’m going to stand at the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and say, I’m going to determine what’s right and wrong and good and evil. God, I do not need you because of this God gave them over to shameful lust. Now, folks, the word there means a passionate desire, a type of an uncontrollable desire, where it says even their women, and it’s literally female, the whole female group exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. Now, what are you talking about? You’re talking about sexual relations where even it says and it starts off with the women exchange these natural desires. What’s a natural desire? A natural desire for a woman is to desire a man that’s also in the Garden of Eden. And the natural desire of a man is to desire a woman, and in marriage, to have sexual intercourse and a relationship with each other naturally. Now, what happens when a person says, no, no, that’s not right. That isn’t right. I want to do it with a man. Folks, God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. He never intended for sex to be done with the same sex. That is a perversion of the mind that starts first of all with a mind that says, I don’t need you. I don’t need to listen to what you have to say is right and wrong and good from evil. I’m doing it my way. That’s where it starts. And then the mind becomes darkened to the point where there’s natural, unnatural affections for one another. So even their women exchange natural relations. And I think he didn’t say that about men, but even it’s saying even the women, you know, men, will do anything, but even the women, women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.
Now, in the same way it says the men or the male. Race, the males also abandoned natural relations. Now, folks, when it says you abandon natural relations, it means that you’re born with natural relations. No one is born liking someone from the same sex. You’re born with a natural relation for the opposite sex. Otherwise you can’t abandon it. Can you? To abandon something you have to have something. So that annihilates this idea you were born this way. I heard a person the other day was talking to some people said, well, this person said, when they were three years old, they were attracted to a man. Three years old? Good Lord Almighty folks. What are people thinking? Three years old, you don’t know who you’re attracted to or what you’re attracted to and little boys until they’re a certain age, they don’t like girls. That didn’t mean they’re homos. They just don’t like them, our little grandkids. You say, Do you have a girlfriend? Ehh. Well, wait till they hit 12, and it’s good that they don’t, if you know guys. So it says men abandoned natural relationships with women and were inflamed with lust. Folks, this is in the Greek language is an uncontrollable an uncontrollable emotion. You are inflamed. That’s all you think about. And it says that these men were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed what the Bible says, indecent acts with other men, you don’t have to wonder what this is, and you know what it says? Received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

Listen to the Salvation message today!
Stand on the firmness of truth. Don’t keep going back and forth. Thank Him that the forgiveness issue is settled.
Let’s pray together:
- Lord Jesus,
- I thank you for taking away my sins on the cross,
- never ever to see them again.
- Having done that, I now thank you for giving me eternal life,
- through your resurrection.
- I now receive that life.
- And I am going stand in the fact that I am a child of the living God.
- In Jesus Holy name I pray.
- Amen
All believers are now brothers and sisters in Christ.
John 3:3
