Created Anew in Christ Jesus
~ Many folks today have placed faith in 1st Imaginations, rather than TRUTH. Quite frankly, they have placed faith in a different Jesus, one that they created in their own imaginations, based on the teaching of Man and the lies of demons. They have not dived into the word of God for themselves to see if what they have believed is true or not. They will say statements for example, “I FEEL like” this is true, or “I don’t THINK God would do something like that” because after all, God has to be like them. They have spent a lifetime of believing the lies of Satan and they certainly don’t want to start believing Truth now. For their whole world would fall apart. They would discover that they have believed lies, upon lies, upon lies. And it all begins with the proper foundation. If a person is believing in a different Jesus, other than what the Word of God shows is TRUTH, then they have believed a lie of satan. For satan doesn’t care what LIES you believe, just as long as you don’t believe TRUTH.
Nothing is as it seems today. People are believing lies left and right. Satan is great at playing the good cop bad cop game, making people think this person is good, and that person is bad, but the reality is they are ALL bad. There is NONE good, no not one. Yet people think that there is someone that is going to rescue them and this nation and world, other than Jesus Himself. People are trusting in Man rather than God. And none of us are immune from satan’s lies. We all got caught in the lies of trusting in Man over God. And most people don’t want to hear that today. They still love believing the lies of the devil, over the Truth of the word of God. They don’t want to repent and change their mind with Truth. They refuse to listen to the Holy Spirit renew their mind.
~ “And you, being dead in your trespasses and sins— in which once you walked according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit now working in the sons of disobedience, among whom we all also once lived in the desires of our flesh, doing the things willed of the flesh and of its thoughts; and we were by nature children of wrath even as the rest.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, made us alive with Christ even we being dead in trespasses—by grace you are saved— and He raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
For by grace you are saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:1-9
…..
And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, having done what, will I inherit eternal life?”
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good, except God alone.
~ “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12
~ Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one believing in Me, even if he should die, he will live. And everyone living and believing in Me shall never die, to the age. Do you believe this?” John 11:25,26
—
Pray to God:
Do you really want to know the WHOLE Truth of what is going on today?
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
Lord Jesus, teach me the truth of the world today and give me the wisdom to know the truth and identify the lies of the devil. Thank you God.”
~ “So folks, many times on some of these doctrinal issues, we want to, we want to bring these down to a doctrinal issue. It’s not a doctrinal issue at all. It’s an issue is, have you placed faith in that Jesus of the Bible? You can say, I believe in that Jesus, but I don’t have faith that he did what he did. Well, if I don’t have faith in what he did, then I don’t have faith in him. Any more than I can say I believe and I have faith in him, but I don’t believe he was raised from the dead, then you do not have faith in Him. So it is not a little issue to me, folks. It is a very, very strong issue because we are talking about the person of Christ, Jesus, and to believe in Him, and to believe in his name, is to believe in everything and have faith in everything that he said, that he accomplished for you and me. Otherwise, we’re discrediting the one we say we believe in.” ~ Bob George

Why did He raise them both up? Why did he make the two as one? In order that in these coming ages, which could be right now, that he could show the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed it in the kindness of Christ Jesus. How many years have the HEBREWS lived in rebellion? Too many to count. How many years has the Gentile lived in rebellion? The same amount. And you see what he’s doing is saying that in the midst of this attitude of rebellion in both HEBREW and Gentile, the HEBRW not in rebellion against God, but in rebellion against God’s revelation about his Son. And the Gentile just continuing to live in rebellion one way or the other, and yet, in the midst of that, I have brought the two of them into a oneness, so that in these coming ages, you and I might be able to see the riches of his grace expressed in the kindness to us in Christ, Jesus. People will say, sometimes, well, how long will God put up with us? What’s the answer to that? I mean, has God given up on me? Man, he’s been putting up with the HEBREWS for 1000s of years and the Gentiles in rebellion for 1000s of years. That’s why Paul said, How many times should we forgive seven times? No Peter, seven times seven. And all of these examples, all of the example of the Old Testament, all of the examples of the New Testament are examples of God’s faithfulness and his kindness and His mercy and His riches of grace in the midst of our internal rebellion, so it shows His love and His grace.
Now he says, For it is by grace that you have been saved through what? Faith. Now what saves you faith or grace? It is by grace that you have been saved by whom? By Christ, Jesus. You’re saved by the blood and the resurrected life of Christ, Jesus. Why did how did God give it? What was the motive of giving us Christ Jesus? Grace. Now again, remember what we talked about last week, that or not last week, two weeks ago, I guess mercy. What is Mercy? Mercy is withholding what you deserve, death. Grace is giving what you don’t deserve, life. So you’ve got those two things working at the cross and the resurrection. The mercy of God withheld eternal punishment that we deserved from us, and grace gave us eternal life that we did not deserve. So mercy withholds what we do deserve. Grace gives what we don’t deserve. So it is by the grace of God that you and I have been saved through faith. It’s not that of ourselves, it salvation and folks, that’s not faith. Many people look at that and say, Oh, faith is a gift of God. He’s not talking about faith, talking about salvation. Salvation is the gift of God, that it’s not from ourselves. Salvation is a gift of God. It’s not by works so that no one can boast, so there would be no one ever being able to boast in regard to I was good enough to earn salvation, I have done enough to earn salvation. I am a HEBREW and therefore am saved automatically, or I am one of the elect and saved automatically. You are saved through faith in the One who saved you.
Now again, is there a difference between belief and faith? Belief, you must believe something before you can put faith in it. So if you’ve got faith in something, obviously you have believed in something, but you can put believe in something and not put faith in something, can’t you? So we have to realize that faith is the beginning, or excuse me, belief is necessary for faith, but it is not automatic in the faith. And so when you’re talking about salvation, you’re not talking about just believing on the name of Christ Jesus, because I would venture to say that most of us believed in Christ Jesus from the time we were little kids. I believed in Christ Jesus. I believed he was the Son of God. I believed he was raised from the dead. I believed he died on a cross, but I was not was not saved. Satan believes that shudders at the thought of it. And so we have to understand that just saying I believe something is saying I believe, like saying I believe Abraham Lincoln was shot in the Ford theater, say I believe that. And they say, Well, do you have faith in it? Well, probably do, probably do I believe that now, why I wasn’t there, but there’s been enough written about it to make me read and say, Well, I believe that to be true. And so I can say, well, because I believe it, I can put faith in that, I would probably stand up and give a pretty good argument on that, on that particular aspect of history. But you see, if we’re talking about this thing of Christ, we can believe something, but have we put our faith in it? Now, our faith is not just in this name. It’s name of Jesus. You know, just Well, I believe in his name. It’s what did this Jesus come to do for you and me? Who is this Jesus? You’ll have people who say, well, it doesn’t matter where Jesus was born, of a virgin or not. I remember in my early in the church that I was in when I became a Christian. Now, when I say that, don’t ever think that I became a Christian in that church, because that church didn’t preach salvation, the pastor would say something like this, that what does it matter whether Jesus was born of a virgin or not? That’s not important. The important thing is that he is. I’d sit there and scratch and say, What in the dickens does that mean? So he didn’t believe in a virgin birth. But that’s okay, he is. Well, you see, if Jesus wasn’t born of a virgin, then the Bible lied to us. And if the Bible lied to us about his birth, then it probably lied to us about his death. And how are you going to believe anything? And the other thing, if Jesus was not born of a virgin. He would have been born out of the seed of Adam, just like you and me, and would have been born into this world dead as a hammer, just like you and me. So his virgin birth isn’t up for grabs. So it isn’t one of those things that you that you can just kind of go in another direction. So a person who says, I believe in Jesus, but I don’t believe in his virgin birth. What do you have to conclude about that? You’ve got a different Jesus. You’ve made up your own person and called him Jesus, because that Jesus is not in the Bible, the Jesus who went to a cross to die for some of your sins. What are you gonna have to conclude about that one? You got a different Jesus, that Jesus is not in the Bible. So you’ve made up your own Jesus, and then put your faith in your own Jesus, because that Jesus is not in the Bible. I believe in Jesus, but I don’t believe in resurrection. What are you gonna have to conclude? Well, you may believe in Jesus, but it’s not the Jesus of the Bible. That Jesus is the one who was raised from the dead, and I could go on and on.
So faith has to have an object, and the object of our faith is not in the Jesus of our making, but in the actual Jesus, who was on this earth. And as John said, That which we’ve seen with her eyes, touched with her hands, heard with her ears, that is the one we proclaim, the one that wasn’t here. We don’t proclaim Him. We only proclaim the one that we saw. We touched. We saw him die, we saw him buried. We saw his resurrection, and we communicated with him after his resurrection. That’s the Jesus we proclaim. Any other Jesus is one of your own making. Now you say, Okay, I have faith in His name. I have faith in him. Well, then if he came to take away your sins, and you say, I have faith in Him, then what would you have to have faith in? In the fact that he what? Took away your sins. So if you say, I believe in Jesus, but I don’t believe he took away my sins, you have to ask, what Jesus Do you believe in that Jesus is not in the Bible. Now you can paint pictures of them, which nobody knows what he looks like, and you can put crosses with with this man, Jesus hanging on it, and nobody knows what he looks like, and say, Ah, there’s Jesus. Well could say, well, that probably is the one you believe in. It’s like called an idol. But you see, if I’m teaching that I believe in Jesus, then I’m going to have to say, I believe in Jesus, the one who took away my sins. And if I don’t believe in the one who took away my sins, then I have to ask, what Jesus Do you believe in? Because it’s not the Jesus of the Bible. So I believe in Jesus of the Bible, but I’m going to have a prayer booth or a confession booth. I believe in the Jesus of the Bible, but I’m going to go back and to my Day of Atonement. I believe in Jesus of the Bible, but I’m going to keep teaching people that boy, you just need to keep asking God to forgive your sins and forgive your sins and forgive your sins and forgive your sins. I say, I’m sorry, but the Jesus The Bible said, I’ve already forgiven your sins. I’ve already taken away your sins. So which Jesus do you say you believe in? It’s not the one of the Bible, the one of the Bible took away your sins, never to see them again. Put them behind his back, never to see them again. Died in your place, so that you could live in his place. That’s the Jesus of the Bible.
So folks, many times on some of these doctrinal issues, we want to, we want to bring these down to a doctrinal issue. Otherwise, we’re discrediting the one we say we believe in.
Okay, so it is not by works. No one can boast about it. Now look what he said about us. We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ, Jesus. How many of you were born in Christ Jesus, physically? Remember we have talked about before that Adam and Eve were created in the image of God. Man was not Adam and Eve was created in the image of God, but in the fifth chapter of Genesis. It says when Adam and Eve had Seth, Seth was born in the image of Adam.

So we were not created by God. Adam and Eve were created by God. We were born from mom and dad, weren’t we? Now, if any man be in Christ, he is, what a new what? Creation. So now, at spiritual birth, is a new creation. Now I’m created. I’m born spiritually of who? God. You and I that’s why it’s called Born Again, of the what? Spirit. Now that is a creation of God. It is not a birth of man. No man can ever be born again spiritually at the will of mom and dad. You are created anew by God. That’s a new creation. In that new creation is that by natural birth, I’m a Gentile, but now I’m a new creation called a what? Child of God. I my natural heritage is that of being a HEBREW, but now I’ve been recreated into what a child of God. So there’s a new creation. I was born Gentile. I was born HEBREW, but now I’m a new creation. What am I now called? A child of the living God, both HEBREW and Gentile, slave and free. There is no HEBREW, there is no Gentile, there is no slave, there is no free. We have now become what? One in Christ, Jesus, a brand new creation. Now, if I’m a brand new creation, do I want to keep hanging on to my Gentile heritage? If I’m a new creation, do I want to keep hanging on to my HEBREW heritage? Am I very proud of being a HEBREW or proud of being a Gentile? No, I’m proud of being a child of God. I wouldn’t care if I was a HEBREW or a Gentile or a spaghetti tree. I’m a child of God. Now that’s that’s who I am now. How’d I get to be that? A new creation, not born created by God. This is God’s workmanship. This isn’t mom and dad’s workmanship. I could look at mom and dad’s workmanship in regard to being, say they could have done better, but when I see God’s workmanship, you can’t improve on that. We have been created in Christ, Jesus to what? Do Good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. How many of the things that we’re doing today do you think shocks God? He prepared in advance, and I have to look at that in my own life, and that’s who I can speak of authoritatively. I have to say that in some strange way and a strange sense of humor, that he chose that I would be doing what I’m doing today. That’s all I can say about that. Why? You got me he could have, should have chosen somebody smarter. He could have chosen a lot of things I could think of. He chose to do what I’m doing today. He chose you to be doing what you’re doing today. It was chosen for the foundation of the earth.
He had Amy prepared for all this, especially for what we’re doing today, because we’re about as popular as the Titanic in regard to the establishment, religious establishment, in this world. So he’s prepared her for rejection, and I got prepared for rejection, or whatever it might be. I don’t mean that someone’s there rejecting you all the time. You just realize it’s just there. I did an interview one time with Dave Hunt. For the interview, he sat down and said, Let’s get controversial. I said, Get controversial. You don’t have to get controversial. We are controversial.
Now, He prepared that in advance for us to do now, folks, I’m going to digress there just a minute because of that. A lady called the other night, and we were talking about rewards and all this type of thing. And, and her deal was, well, the more you do you know, the more rewards you’re going to get. And, and she said, Well, you mean someone like yourself, who leads people to Christ, that you’re not going to get more rewards than somebody else? And of course not. Of course not. If God had this little twig on the vine, this little twig up there, and said, Twiggy, I want you to abide in me. And when you do, you’re going to bear one little grape out of your twig. And Twiggy says, Okay. And Twiggy abides in the vine, and one little grape comes out. What kind of reward she going to get? 100% I ask you to bear the fruit of one grape. And you did it. Got another branch down there and says, big lug, I want to hang a hang 100 grapes on you, but in order to do that, you’re gonna have to abide in me. So the big lug abides in the vine and all of a sudden bears the fruit of 100 grapes. Which one’s gonna get most rewarded? Neither one of most. They’ll be equally rewarded. The big lug did what God asked him to do, abide in the vine. And the vine says, I’ll produce the fruit. And to the twig, it says, abide in the vine, and I will also produce the fruit. And both are equally rewarded.
So if we think BG is going to be up there with more rewards, because you know, if God called BG to preach to 1000s and to lead 1000s to Christ. And he’s done that. He’ll get the same reward that he might have called you, to give a cup of water in the name of Jesus to somebody.
And so when you’re talking about this whole deal, God has given you and created you in Christ, Jesus to do good works, which God prepared, prepared in advance for you to do. I don’t think there’s any accidents. We had a we had a at the conference. And we also have a guy that was out of the Mennonite religion around Indiana, and they come to Canton and have a little restaurant out there. And even though his wife still wears the little caps on the head and all that type of thing, strictly because of the restaurant, because they have come to know Christ, they’ve come to know the grace of God, and totally pulled out of that legalistic background that they were in and are really proponent, proponents of teaching of the grace of God, great big old guy, well, he was here for the rest or deal out in Canton, and brought a young man with him. His name was Jacob. What? What? Name was, that’s what it said. His name was, Daniel, yeah, yeah, the Bible. I knew as a Bible name one of those guys. So Daniel, sweet guy, and he also Mennonite whole family, just, he is Amish. You know, that’s in Amish country. I was in industry in Amish country, out in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. And, man, they couldn’t, they couldn’t have anything on their buggies. They could there’s, it had to be total black. And, man, those poor people would be driving at night, and they couldn’t even put reflectors on, and they’d just get wiped out right and left by cars going around the corner, just wiping them out because they couldn’t see them. And finally, they allowed reflectors, very reluctantly, to put it put on the back of their buggy so that people could see them. But it’s that kind of a thing, because a shiny bumper would be worldly. So that’s how legalistic that type of thing is. Well, the big old guy from Indiana had a part that was missing on his car when he got here, and they couldn’t get the part, and it caused him two days delay. He had to stay right across the street. Well, he brought Daniel over, and Daniel just, I mean, he just couldn’t get enough of that radio program. He watched it. And they were at the state fair one day, and he is saying, I want to get back at 3:30 get that radio program, really interested. And so the last day that he was there because they were going to get their car fixed the very next day, they were over watching the radio program, and after the three o’clock to four program, I just came in, sat down, and we talked for quite a long time, and finally asked Daniel about his relationship with the Lord and and I could, I could see, I said, Daniel, I can see the interest that you have, and you would not have that interest unless God’s drawn you unto himself. And finally, we sat there and and I just asked, Daniel, are you ready to, by faith, accept the living Christ into your heart? Because you know what that means. You’re going to be ostracized by your family. You’re probably going to be kicked out of the family. If you’re living in an area where that’s all Amish, or an area that’s all Mennonite, and try to go into business, you may as well forget it.
So this is not one of these easy decisions. This is a decision that will change your life in many, many ways, totally marvelously in regard to your spiritual life, but your physical life, you’re going to go through some trials and tribulation. And he said, Well, I’m ready to accept the Lord. And he did. Now I want to ask you, do you think God knew all about that, and do you think it was just a coincidence that the part was not in his car and he couldn’t get it for two days, not at all, and neither did he after we look back on it, the guy say, I kept wondering. Kept saying, God, how come that dumb car is broken down? He said, Now I know, so that his friend could come to the Lord. So we have to realize that folks that these things are prepared in advance for us, and that’s why I say there’s nothing new under the sun to God, he’s already given us everything we need. And what faith is is, Lord, get me in on the action. Let me be discerning enough to know what the action is, to know what I should be doing. And what I should be saying at a specific time not to be getting a bunch of rewards, as some people work for, because if you’re working for a reward, you’re not going to get one. They say that all that stuff, of these works will be burnt. All of your works will be tested by fire, and so you’ll have a match put to all of these things we’ve done with our self effort, and it’ll just be an ash pile. Then we’ll be standing up there saying, My ash pile is bigger than your ash pile. But there will be no rewards for self effort, only those things we’ve allowed Christ to do in and through us.
Now, therefore and again. When you see a therefore, you ask, what’s it there for? Therefore, because of what we just are talking about, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called uncircumcised by those who call themselves the circumcision that done in the body by the hands of men. Remember, remember all of you Gentiles, that at that time, you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise. You were without hope. You were without God in the world. That’s encouraging. And now the but comes. But, now, do you see that what this is all about guys? He’s talking to Gentiles. And he’s saying Gentiles, there was a time when you were excluded from all these things. You You were separate from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship in Israel. You were foreigners to the covenants. Had no idea about an Old Covenant, a New Covenant, it’s what we talk about in regard to the old and New Covenant. The law was never, ever, ever given to the Gentiles. We, like a bunch of dummies, have grabbed that law that was given to the HEBREWS, dragged it over into so called Christianity, and that’s all a part of our Christian faith.

3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
