We are To Seek Wisdom and Understanding Directly From God
~ I ask then, did God reject His people? Certainly not! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. God did not reject His people, whom He foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says about Elijah, how he appealed to God against Israel: “Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars. I am the only one left, and they are seeking my life as well”?
And what was the divine reply to him? “I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” Romans 11:1-4
To some of us, it might seem like you are the last believer on the face of the earth, that believes Jesus took away the sins of the whole world and other key things about creation and the realm in which we live. Yet there are others like us out there. There are those of us that place Faith in the word of God, and are having our minds renewed everyday by the Holy Spirit himself teaching us TRUTH directly. And that is just the tip of the iceberg in believing what the word of God says and means. Do not depend on Man’s teaching of what the word of God means, but ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom directly. And He will give it with great abundance without finding fault. That is His promise directly from the word of God. James 1:5 You can Trust in the Word of God. For there are many today, that teach the lies of Satan intentionally, and some that teach the lies of Satan because they were/are ignorant of things in the word of God. And we all taught the lies of Satan also because we did not know any better. But don’t lose heart there either, for we have all been deceived by Satan’s lies from birth, and that is key to our understanding of things today. And remember, God is NOT counting any of our sins against us. And He wants to teach us Truth, ALL TRUTH, Truth from the word of God. So allow God to renew your mind on Everything, and do not be afraid to change your mind (repent) on the key Truths of the word of God. Lean not on your own understanding of anything today. For there is much wisdom and understanding from God that needs to be shown to all of us. Always start with the proper foundation, Jesus is God in the flesh. Seek first the kingdom of God and His Righteousness. Jesus is our righteousness, NOT our own self-righteousness.
And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, having done what, will I inherit eternal life?”
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good, except God alone.
~ “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12
~ Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one believing in Me, even if he should die, he will live. And everyone living and believing in Me shall never die, to the age. Do you believe this?” John 11:25,26

“I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” In the same way, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. And if it is by grace, then it is no longer by works. Otherwise, grace would no longer be grace. What then? What Israel was seeking, it failed to obtain, but the elect did. The others were hardened, as it is written: “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see, and ears that could not hear, to this very day.” And David says: “May their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution to them. May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be bent forever.” I ask then, did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery?f Certainly not! However, because of their trespass, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous. But if their trespass means riches for the world, and their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring! I am speaking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry in the hope that I may provoke my own people to jealousy and save some of them. For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? If the first part of the dough is holy, so is the whole batch; if the root is holy, so are the branches. Now if some branches have been broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others to share in the nourishment of the olive root, do not boast over those branches. If you do, remember this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” That is correct: They were broken off because of unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He will certainly not spare you either. Take notice, therefore, of the kindness and severity of God: severity to those who fell, but kindness to you, if you continue in His kindness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut from a wild olive tree, and contrary to nature were grafted into one that is cultivated, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree! I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you will not be conceited: A hardening in part has come to Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come from Zion; He will remove godlessness from Jacob. And this is My covenant with them when I take away their sins.” Regarding the gospel, they are enemies on your account; but regarding election, they are loved on account of the patriarchs. For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. Just as you who formerly disobeyed God have now received mercy through their disobedience, so they too have now disobeyed, in order that they too may now receive mercy through the mercy shown to you. For God has consigned everyone to disobedience so that He may have mercy on everyone. O, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and untraceable His ways! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor?” “Who has first given to God, that God should repay him?” For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen. Romans 11:1-36
Pray to God:
Do you really want to know the WHOLE Truth of what is going on today?
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
Lord Jesus, teach me the truth of the world today and give me the wisdom to know the truth and identify the lies of the devil. Thank you God.”
~ “Now, as that continued to progress, and by the time the book of Romans was written, He wanted us Gentiles to see a proper attitude toward our Hebrew brothers. And so in answer to this question, because you would have had Gentiles who had said, Well, God rejected His people. He’s he’s all for us. Now the chosen people are no longer chosen people. We’re the chosen people. And so he says, Well, I ask you this question, Did God reject His people? He said, By no means. He didn’t reject His people. His people were the first ones that the gospel came to. He didn’t reject them. They’re the ones he offered salvation to by faith. He said, not of no means. I’m an Israelite, myself, a descendant from Abraham, a tribe of Benjamin. God did not reject His people whom He foreknew. Don’t you know what the scripture says in the passage about Elijah, how he appealed, appeal to God against Israel, Lord, they’ve killed your prophets, torn down your altars. I’m the only one left, and they’re trying to kill me. You ever feel that way, and what was God’s answer to him? I’ve reserved for myself 7000 who have not bowed the knee to Baal. So too at the present time, he’s saying at the present time, even though the leadership has rejected this gospel of Christ Jesus, there’s a remnant of people chosen by grace. Now, what does he mean? Chosen by grace? That’s who God chooses for salvation. Are those who come to Him by grace. Who does he reject? Those who come to him by the law. God gives grace to the humble. He resists the proud. Isn’t that his right to do so? He didn’t come down say, I’m going to save everybody. I’m going to save those who realize they can’t save themselves, and I’m going to save those who come to me by faith in what I did instead of what you’re doing. So he said that the present time, there’s still a remnant of people who have come to me by faith, and if by grace, then it’s no longer by works. If they’ve come by grace, then they’d haven’t come by works. If it were grace, would no longer be grace. Well, what? Then? What Israel sought so earnestly it did not obtain, but the elect did. Now again, who’s the elect guys? It isn’t yous and mes the elect is Hebrews and Gentiles. So he’s talking about what Israel so earnestly did not obtain, but the elect did. Who’s he talking about that have just obtained salvation by grace? The Gentiles, who’s the elect, the Gentiles, who also is the elect, the Hebrews who do what? Come to Him by faith, only two categories, three categories of people from God’s vantage point, Hebrew, Gentile and the church, the ecclesia made up of both born again Hebrews and born again Gentiles. So you got lost Hebrews, you got lost Gentiles, and you got the church who are born again, Hebrews and Gentiles alike. No difference in the two. There’s only one God. There’s only one form of salvation, which we’ll study about in 12.” ~ Bob George

We’ve been studying through the book of Romans. And again, just to reiterate what we talked about last week that that the book of Romans is written basically to the Gentile audience. The Gentiles had ultimately received the gospel, and they responded to it in vast numbers, just like when Jesus after His death, burial and resurrection and after the day of Pentecost, that the 1000s of people that were saved were Hebrews, not Gentiles, the first Gentile convert that we know about was Cornelius, about 18 years after the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. And so the early Christians were Hebrews, and then the gospel began to spread to the Gentile world and the Gentile world accepted the gospel in mass. Much of your Arab nations today, that we see as Muslim at one time were totally Christian nations, and so we have to understand that now, Paul is addressing to the Gentiles what their attitude should be toward their Hebrew brothers, and therefore we he said in here that are you saying there, that the Gentiles that did not pursue righteousness have obtained it, but the Hebrews who pursued righteousness had did not obtain it. He said, That’s correct. Why? Because they pursued it not by faith, but by works, trying to obtain their righteousness by what they were doing. Instead of accepting the righteousness that comes from God, they sought to establish their own. And it says they stumbled over the stumbling stone who is Christ, Jesus. And so but he wants us to have a proper attitude toward our Hebrew brothers.
The same is true today, folks. There are many people today and and I don’t I don’t remember a lot of this in my childhood growing up, but I do remember some of hearing voices saying the Jews were Christ killers. What do you hear today people saying, this is an anti semitic movie. I had a guy call in the other day on the air who said, I’m Italian. He said, This appears to me, after watching that movie, that if you were going to be prejudiced about anybody? It’d be the Italians, who are the ones who beat the daylights out of the Lord. And that really is true. You could not say the Jews and then leave out the Italians. But the fact of the matter is, is the Hebrew leadership. We have to understand, if we were looking today back at the leadership, it is not like that the Hebrew world was spread all over, although they were but they were centralized until you had a high priest, and you had a political system set up with a leader, and then all of the people underneath them, and that kind of power corrupts, does it not? You have it today in denominations where you got a big leader, and you got a bunch of people, and it’s corrupt. Power corrupts more power corrupts completely. And so you had the leadership of the Hebrew world centered there in Jerusalem that had become unbelievably corrupt and mean as hornets.
Now today, if you look at the Jewish different Jewish religions as they are in existence today, you have your Orthodox Jew, and the Orthodox Jew is the one who tries to keep all the laws. If you were over in Israel, they would be the ones that you would see in the black hats and the curlicues and all that kind of stuff. And they would be the ones who, if you were walking in Israel and you had a dress on that you had sleeves out, they would come up and spit on you. Now that is the mindset of those kind of people, self righteous beyond comprehension, absolutely, if you violate one of our laws, brother, we’re going to go after you, mean as Hornets. Now I want to tell you something, guys. You take that that you see today, and multiply that by about 100% And you would see what the mindset was of the Hebrew leadership back in those days, and the high priest back in those days. When you talk about the Hebrews, you’re not talking about the mass of Hebrews. You’re talking about the leadership. For you to say that that’s when you’re talking about the perverted leadership. You shouldn’t do that because it can cause problems. Is as ridiculous as saying that you shouldn’t talk about the leadership of Adolf Hitler and his henchmen because it could make the Gentiles look bad. The issue is that that was what took place. It is not discrediting you and me. It is not discrediting the Hebrew population today or the Gentile population today. It was a result of leadership becoming corrupt. And as it says in the Bible, they said, not the Hebrew average person. The leadership said, If we allow this man to continue, the guy down the street didn’t have any didn’t have any authority to allow or disallow. These were the leaders. If we allow this man to continue in what he’s doing, before long, the whole world is going to follow Him, and we are going to lose our position. In other words, job security. Killed Jesus. I’m not going to change. I’m certainly not going to be telling people that they can be saved by grace when I’m the authority on the law. And my position is I know the law and the interpretation of the law, and I’ve gone beyond the law, I know the law. And say, forget the law. It isn’t important anymore. Grace is important. No way am I going to ever say that. So the only way that I’m can continue functioning is to get rid of this guy that has had the audacity to go underneath the skin and teach what the word means when I’ve been telling you what it means out of my corrupt flesh. So this was the conflict that was taking place between Jesus and the hierarchy of Hebrewism.
Now, as that continued to progress, and by the time the book of Romans was written, He wanted us Gentiles to see a proper attitude toward our Hebrew brothers. So you got lost Hebrews, you got lost Gentiles, and you got the church who are born again, Hebrews and Gentiles alike. No difference in the two. There’s only one God. There’s only one form of salvation, which we’ll study about in 12.
So that’s the elect, not that I elected you, but didn’t elect you, as some people teach. The others were hardened. God gave them a spirit of stupor. Their eyes could not see, and hear so they could not hear. To this very day, David says, May their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and retribution for them. May their eyes be darkened so that they can’t see and their backs bent forever. If you’re going to rebel against the truth of the grace of God, this is what God says going to happen to you. Now, as we talked about last week, folks, and it’s a good illustration to hang on to. The same sun that melts wax, hardens clay, it’s the identical sun. So it’s not the fault of the sun, it’s what it falls on. So when it says, God hardened the heart of Pharaoh, the same sun that hardened the heart of Pharaoh also melted the heart of Moses, and the same message that gave the spirit of stupor to the proud melted the heart of the man who came to Him by faith. And so it is not that God hardens a person’s heart. I’m going to harden your heart so you can’t receive. It’s the fact that your pride prohibits you from receiving and therefore my message hardens your heart. You go out to a bunch of legalists today, and you start teaching the grace of God, I want to tell you, you’ll find a heart as hard as a brick in response to that. They don’t want to hear this that they say that’s cheap grace. Have you ever heard that one? Oh, people teach cheap grace. I want to tell you, if people aren’t saying to you that you’re being easy on sin, you’re not preaching grace period, but they want to call cheap grace, well, I tell you, if Grace cost a penny, it would cease to be grace. Grace was a free gift of God. It cost him his life. It cost him unbelievable suffering, but it was free to you and me, and that’s how you come to Christ, through the acceptance that I can’t but he did.
Again. He asked, and he wants us to know this as Gentiles, just as applicable today as it was back then. Did the Hebrews stumble so far as beyond recovery? Has God turned his back on the Hebrew world and said, You have had it? No, not at all. Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous. That is a byproduct of sending the gospel to the Gentiles, it made the Hebrews jealous. But if their transgression means riches for the world and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater will their fullness be? Folks, do you know what has made Mel Gibson a very wealthy man? The rejection of the Jews the minute they started complaining about this being anti semitic, it caused people to want to go to the movie, whether they wanted to go or not. I’m going to go see if they’re right. Am I right or wrong? So the rejection has caused the acceptance. The rejection of the Hebrew caused the acceptance of the Gentiles. Remember, guys, the power of sin is ? In the law. All you have to do to get a person to want to go to this movie is say, Don’t go.

Somebody called one time and said the pastor got up in a pulpit and said, Don’t read this book, Classic Christianity. It sold out. That’s all you had to do to get people to buy it. Just tell people don’t read it, and that will cause people to want to go buy it. So basically, the the rejection of the Hebrew caused the exception of the Gentile. Now he says, I’m talking to you Gentiles. So he wants to, once again, clarify who he’s talking to. I’m talking to you Gentiles in as much as I’m an apostle to the Gentiles. I make much of my ministry in hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and to save some of them. It was God Paul’s desire, above all things, that his people would come to know this Christ is their Messiah. For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world. What will their acceptance be? But life from the dead? If the part of the dough offered as first fruits, is holy, the apostles, then the whole batch is holy. If the root is holy, so are the branches. In other words, if they’re set apart, the whole batch is going to be set apart. The root is set apart, and so are the branches. Now, if the branches, if some of the branches have been broken off, and you though a wild olive shoot, so that’s how God identifies you and me to all of us. How many are Gentiles in here? Not most of us. You know what God calls us affectionately, wild olive shoots. Now, I guess that’s a little better than dogs, but it still is a designation of our heritage. If we want to go back to our roots, it isn’t real pleasant, idol worshiping Gentiles. So if you if some of the branches have been broken off, and you though a wild olive shoot have been grafted in among the others and now sharing in the nourishing sap of the olive root, don’t boast over those branches. Why did he say that, folks? Because what were the Gentiles doing? Boasting. You’re going to see passages in here. You’re going to see in verse 18, don’t boast. You’re going to see in verse 20. Don’t be arrogant. You’re going to see in other passages. Don’t be conceited. Why? That’s what we were becoming. We were all puffed up over the fact that, hey, we’re accepting and they’re not. He’s trying to negate that attitude.
So he said, Don’t boast over those branches. If you do consider this, you don’t support the root, but the root supports you. You will say, then branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in, granted, but they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Don’t be arrogant. Be afraid, For God did not spare the natural branches. He won’t spare you either. Now some people take that say, Oh, that’s a loss of salvation. He is just merely saying to the Gentile world, don’t get all puffed up on being a Gentile. He could get rid of you the same way. Now, did he get rid of the Hebrews beyond repair? No, he said, I could do the same with you. He didn’t say, well, he just said, I could. Now, guys, let’s go back for a minute to 13th chapter of Matthew, If you’ll turn back to the 13th chapter of Matthew. Now, here again was Jesus talking to the Hebrew crowds that he was talking to. You all got it the same day, Jesus went out of the house, and he sat by the lake, and such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it while all the people stood on the shore. Then he told them many things, in parables, saying, a farmer went out to sow his seed as he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. In other words, a hard path ate it up. Some fell on rocky places where it didn’t have much soil, it sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow, but when the sun came up, the plants were scorched and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seeds fell on good soil, where it produced a crop 100, 60, 30 times what was sown. He who has ears, he said, let him listen. Then his disciples came to him and said, Why do you speak to people in parables? And he said, the knowledge of the secret of the Kingdom of Heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whenever whoever has been given more, he will also have abundance, and he who does not have even what he has will be taken from him. And this is why I speak to them in parables. Though seeing, they do not see, though hearing, they do not hear or understand. You hear what something says, but you do not understand what it means and why? Because you don’t allow the Spirit to reveal it to you. In them, he said, is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah. You will ever be hearing but never understanding. You will ever be seeing and never perceiving. Now here’s the root problem of that, for people’s hearts have become calloused. They hardly hear with their ears, and they’ve closed their eyes otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their hearts, and turn and I would heal them. Folks, we can get our hearts calloused. We can get it calloused by rejecting truth. We can get it callous by by saying, I’m going to walk with both feet. Double minded, man, I’m going to have one foot in the Lord, I’m going to have one foot in the world. And please don’t tell me to get my foot out of the world. We bring in the things of the world into our churches and say we’re being politically correct. Instead of being set apart, the church should be a set apart group. They should be set apart from the world, not looking like the world or sounding like the world, but set apart to be people who are there for the purpose of communicating the good news of the gospel.
A born again believer does not belong in bars. A born again believer does not belong drunken being in a drunken state. A born again believer is separate from that. Those are just two things I’m talking about. You’re separate from that. A born again believer should be honest. That separates you from the world. And yet, many times we have one foot over here in the world and one foot over here in Christ, and we wonder why we’re a double minded man that is unstable in all ways. There comes a point when you come to Christ where you say, I’m going to put that stuff aside. That’s the things of the world. I’m putting them aside, and we’re going to start walking in a newness of life. My main thrust and concentration is going to be on getting to know Christ and growing in Christ, I’m going to forget the old buddies that all they want to do is to go drink and play and all that stuff, and I’m going to get myself some new friends. I didn’t have to do that when I came to Christ. I automatically lost my friends when I became a Christian. So I didn’t have to get rid of them. They got rid of me, and if they still wanted to be hanging around me, I’d say, there’s something wrong with me, but I didn’t want to be back in the bars again. I had no place in the bars again, and when I say again, it’s because I spent a lot of time there. I didn’t know there was a coffee shop in California until I became a Christian. And so I know what that is, and I know that when I came into Christ, a relation with Christ, Jesus, he was saying to me, you don’t belong there anymore. You don’t belong there anymore. I thought many times prior to that, I used to work with the Santa Monica freeway in California. I don’t know whether you know it or not, you come down one freeway and then Hollywood freeway splits, or the Santa Monica freeway splits. One way was going home, and I always remember the struggle I had on St Patrick’s Day. One way took me home, the other way took me to O’Malley’s. That was no struggle before coming to Christ, I just went to O’Malley’s. Didn’t matter what Amy thought, didn’t matter where that hurt her. That’s where I went. And I can remember, after coming to Christ, going to that crossroads, and it never even entered my mind to go to O’Malley’s anymore, I’m going home where I belong. And folks, that is the sign of a born again believer. You cannot live totally infatuated with the world and infatuated with Jesus at the same time you can, but you’re going to be a double minded man that’s unstable in all ways. And I believe it’s the same way with the church. I don’t think you can blend in all of the stuff that everyone says the kids like, the issue is that’s not what church is. Church is for the purpose of not entertaining youth or entertaining adults. Church is for the purpose of proclaiming the good news of Christ Jesus. You can get all the entertainment you need in school. And that is one reason why we have never gotten into all of the programs that you have to build a big church with.
My feeling is you come and learn. It’s not my responsibility to teach your kids the Word of God. That’s your responsibility. It’s my responsibility to teach you, and then it’s your responsibility to teach your kids and to demonstrate that in your life in front of them. And so therefore, when I came to Dallas, I lost, to a degree, my kids in regard to educating because the church took over, and they were so engrossed and busy, busy, busy, that you never even hardly had time to talk with each other. And I swore up and down, if we ever had a church, we’ll never do that. We’re going to keep it simple, but we are going to, as Richard said, try to develop training programs to teach you how to become equipped for the work of ministry and. It, but we’re not going to be working you to death. You got enough to do with your families and with your schools and with everything else to be tied up every day of the week in a church function. As a matter of fact, when you’re out there in the marketplace that is the church, and there’s where you’re supposed to be, that’s where you reach people for Christ, not in here, out there.
Folks with this movie. This movie certainly is not for the purpose of leading people to Christ, necessarily. Certainly somebody could see what Jesus did, but the resurrection was hardly mentioned, rightfully so. He did intend to do that. The greatest opportunity you and I have is, do you realize that I don’t think there’s a person in the United States who hadn’t heard of Jesus because of this movie. I mean, you cannot turn on television that someone isn’t talking about this movie. I cannot believe it. Every place you turn there’s somebody talking about Jesus. We went into our Jewish delicatessen this morning. Guess what was on? Guess what on the television? Jesus. Said, You can’t even get him out of the Jewish delicatessen. You’re going to find people at the water fountains talking about Jesus. You’re going to find them talking at the desk about Jesus. You’re going to talk about every at the grocery store talking about this. And what an opportunity we have, as Christians, to be able to say, are you interested in learning more about the fullness of this gospel, and to hand out born free books, or to make an appointment with somebody, to sit down, have lunch with them and talk to them about Jesus. Invite them over to your home to talk about Jesus. Invite them here on Wednesday. But the opportunities are out there, and I think this is just God opening up a terrific opportunity for the Christian community to get involved in now realizing people are talking about Jesus, so why don’t you just tell them what you know about him, the film doesn’t, doesn’t depict the fullness of the gospel. It wasn’t intended to. That’s what I think we’re for. But what a wonderful opportunity we have, isn’t it, to be able to talk to people about this wonderful Jesus that we know.

Stand on the firmness of truth. Don’t keep going back and forth. Thank Him that the forgiveness issue is settled.
Let’s pray together:
- Lord Jesus,
- I thank you for taking away my sins on the cross,
- never ever to see them again.
- Having done that, I now thank you for giving me eternal life,
- through your resurrection.
- I now receive that life.
- And I am going stand in the fact that I am a child of the living God.
- In Jesus Holy name I pray.
- Amen
