The World’s Sin is Unbelief in Jesus

~ Jesus said, “And when He comes, He will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because they do not believe in Me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see Me; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world has been condemned.” John 16:8-11

~ Jesus took care of the sin issue on the cross forever. Now, through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, He is telling the world what Jesus did on the cross, and the meaning of that, He is telling people that Jesus is the Righteousness of God, NOT our own self-righteousness, and He is telling people that Jesus has already condemned Satan, and the victory was completed at the cross for ever and ever. Yet most people are NOT listening to the Holy Spirit teach Truth. Instead they are listening to the doctrines of Man and demons, teaching the lies of Satan, that more forgiveness is required, that you can be self-righteous and that you yourself can overcome sin through self effort. All of which is a lie. Yet pastors will teach everything from saying that baptism by water is required for salvation, to keeping short accounts with God to maintain forgiveness of sin and good standing before God. They in essence teach the same things Catholics teach, that of ongoing forgiveness, which is one of the biggest lies in the religious world today concerning Jesus. With them, they discount what Jesus said on the cross, “It is Finished.” They don’t believe Him, and they don’t teach it, and hence they are still dead in their unbelief of Jesus themselves. Either Jesus is God and took away the sins of the world, or He lied, and more forgiveness is required by God. It’s a person’s own decision today of what they are going to believe. Who are you going to believe, God or the teaching of Man and demons? One path leads to eternal LIFE, the other path leads to eternal death. And death is the absence of LIFE living in them. Jesus is LIFE, and a person that doesn’t place Faith in Jesus is DEAD, for without the Holy Spirit living in them they are still dead.

A caller asked about sin.
Bob responds:

“Well, there’s natural repercussions to sin. What we have to realize is how God is dealing with that God has dealt with sins. Our sins were all judged. They were judged at the cross. The verdict was guilty. The punishment was death, and Jesus stepped in and took it for us, and that’s why there is no condemnation awaiting us who belong to Christ, Jesus, because the law, the Spirit of Life has set me free from the law of sin and death. So that’s how God has dealt with sin. He judged it. He didn’t blink his eye at it. He judged it. And death had to take place because of it. And Jesus was the final death, the final human sacrifice that was ever made for a man’s sin. Now, as a person down here, Jesus came to live in his body that it contains indwelling sin. And so therefore there we’re going to have a conflict between the spirit and the flesh as long as we live. And I’ve told people, if you really want to pray to get rid of sin, pray to die, because that’s what, that’s what it’s going to happen in the meantime, there’s you’re going to have weaknesses and you’re going to have trials and tribulation. But I think at Jay is where Paul said to rejoice in your weakness. I never used to understand that passage of scripture. How do you rejoice in weakness when the whole world is telling you to be strong? But it said, it’s through my weaknesses that keeps me dependent on Christ. If I didn’t have any weaknesses at all, Jay, I’d forget Jesus in a New York minute. And so would you? And so would anybody else. Our weaknesses are what keep us dependent on Christ. And so we can rejoice in the fact that we have weaknesses, because it does keep us dependent, but that dependency is that ultimately what begins to cure the weaknesses, but we’re never going to run out of them. But the issue is that as long as Christ, Jesus lives in me, that there is going to be a conflict between what it says that I have the privilege of participating in the divine nature that lives in. Me, but I also can participate in my flesh. And there’s where the conflicts going to be.” ~ Bob George
