The 10 Commandments Brought Death ~ Jesus Through The Spirit Brings LIfe to the Dead

~ “Now if the ministry of death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at the face of Moses because of its fleeting glory, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry of righteousness! Indeed, what was once glorious has no glory now in comparison to the glory that surpasses it. For if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which endures!” 2 Corinthians 3:7-11

~ Every true believer’s ministry needs to focus on HIS Life today. When we share the Truth about Jesus and what He did on the cross, taking away the sins of the world, the Holy Spirit gives Life to all who place Faith in Him. Yet there are many, many folks today that are preaching a ministry of death still. They prop up the 10 commandments as if they think they can NOW obey them. News alert: NO one obeys the 10 commandments today. We’ve broken ALL of them. There was only ONE person, God Himself, Jesus in the flesh, who completely obeyed the 10 commandments. Don’t let anyone bewitch you into thinking you can obey the 10 commandments or even the Sabbath day worship keeping. How much sense does that even make for today, when we are supposed to rest in the Sabbath Rest, which is only found in Christ Jesus? Do not tolerate that type of teaching. Tell it like it is. Be bold in the proclamation of the gospel of LIFE, not death.

If people are hypocritical pretend lawkeepers, then they are NOT being led by the Spirit of God. They are most likely not saved. For if they had the Spirit of God living in them, He, The Spirit of God would be pointing out the Truth of the Sabbath Rest to them, not a Sabbath day of worship. And yet people are so proud of something they are doing to worship God on a special day of the week that they even brag about it, forgetting about ALL the other days of the week that are simply for themselves. But hey, Jesus at least gets one special day a week. This is what they do, and they even justify it in their flesh because they feel so good about what they are doing for God.

Bob George discusses the relevance of the 10 Commandments in the New Covenant, emphasizing that they lead to Christ. He clarifies that the law was added because of transgressions until the seed, Jesus, came. Bob explains that believers are no longer under the law but guided by the Spirit. He addresses a caller’s guilt, explaining it stems from being under the law. Another caller, Todd, expresses feeling lost and suicidal; Bob guides him to accept Jesus and reassures him of eternal life. Renee seeks clarification on Malachi 3:6-10, tithing, which Bob explains is not directed to modern believers but to the descendants of Jacob, emphasizing the context of tithing in the Old Testament was for supporting the Levitical priesthood.

“So Andy, let me continue on here. It declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, given through faith in Jesus, Christ might be given to those who believe now before this faith came, and that would be before Jesus came, or before faith came. In your own life, you were held a prisoner by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So you’re going to be a prisoner of the law until faith is revealed, faith in Christ. So the law,…

Or no, you don’t have it in the heart. In fact, if you have it in your heart, you you can’t live by you cannot live by grace. And it says that that very, very clearly, and I think that you what you’ve got to do is to leave the law where it is to be left. And that’s at Mount Sinai Romans, 8:14, those who are led by the Spirit are sons of God. Those who are led by the Spirit, which is walking by faith of God, are sons of God. And if you’re led by the Spirit, you’re not under the law, which means, if you’re under the law, you can’t be led by the Spirit. I hope that nobody is listening to this says, I don’t want to be led by the Spirit. Spirit. I want to be led by the law. Now, let me deal with this stuff that come people come up that say, Well, yeah, we’re no longer under the ceremonial laws, but we’re under the 10 Commandments. Well, go to second Corinthians, three, seven through nine. And here’s what you’re going to hear about, that if the ministry that brought death. Now, what was that the 10 Commandments, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses. Moses gave us the law. It says that the law came through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus, Christ, our Lord, when you see the law in that singular form. It always is referring to the first five books of the Bible called the Pentateuch. That’s the law of God. When it talks about that, I will put my laws in their hearts, in Hebrews. It’s supposed to be a quotation out of Old Testament. And in the Old Testament it says, I’ll put my law. But in Hebrews, it says, I’ll put my laws. What’s the difference? It’s not the law of Moses, it’s the laws of Jesus, the laws of Jesus that say that the that to love your God with all your heart, mind and soul, you love your neighbor, and upon these ends, the fulfillment of the entirety of the law and the prophets. So again, getting back to this deal, they couldn’t look steadily into the face of Moses, because of its glory fading though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? So he’s comparing the 10 Commandments given by Moses. We all know that story. No question at all what he’s talking about, 10 Commandments. So if the 10 Commandments came with glory, how much more glorious is the ministry of the Spirit? If the ministry that condemns men, that’s so what is the law? It’s a ministry of condemnation, if it condemns men as glory, were sinners, absolutely. How much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness? And so it is. There’s no question about it that when you’re talking about being dead to the law, you’re talking about all of it. And people in Galatians, 3:10 Paul says, All who rely upon observing the law are under a curse. If you want to be under the law, then you have to be under all of the law, and that means the punishment of the law. Oh, yeah, right. You can’t separate the law from the punishment of the law.” Bob George
