Abide in the Holy Spirit When He Lives in You

~ People want to be God today. They think they can keep themselves clean. They think they can produce good works. They think they can produce the fruit of the Spirit by the energy of their flesh. They still don’t have a clue of how Jesus really lived as the perfect Man of God. It’s important for us to understand that Jesus, being God in flesh, is also the Perfect Man of God too. And Jesus said he does NOTHING other than what the Father tells him to do. He also said, he says Nothing other than what the Father tells him to say. Yet today, people think they can be God themselves. There is nothing new under the sun. People think they can be righteous by keeping short accounts with God. People think they can be holy by doing or not doing something. They live under a misunderstanding of scripture today. They are still slaves to sin (unbelief). And it takes the Holy Spirit living in a person to show them ALL truth.

~ “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. ^{John 15:1-8}

~ “But you cannot walk the walk or talk the talk as people say, and that causes nothing but ultimate frustration because you know, full well you can’t do it. Yeah, and God’s, and in God’s and in God’s economy, it’s only 100%. There’s not 99.9%, it’s 100%. And that’s why we have to give up on ourselves and give up on all his self effort. And to recognize, just as Jesus said, this, Anthony said, I’m a vine and you and today are branch. And if you will abide in me, as I will abide in you, you will bear the fruit of the vine, but you cannot produce the fruit of the vine. Apart from me, you can do nothing. And so it’s like a branch saying, well, I’ll just see about that. after all. I learned that I need to walk the walk and talk the talk. So I’m just, you just watch how I do. And so you watch and certainly an outcomes A mouthful of wax. But it’s not fruit. It’s stuff that we just produce in the Christian world. There’s only one way for you as a branch to bear the fruit of the vine. And that’s not by trying. It’s by trusting in the life of the vine to do in you, what you cannot do in and of yourself. And that’s the difference between self effort Christian life and abiding. It’s the difference between living in the desert and walking into the promised land. And resting as it says, from your works just as he did from his.

What you’re talking about there is so prevalent in the in the world today where people are out crying the grunt and grind out the Christian life and energy of inflation. We can’t do it and so we get discouraged and give up on everything. And Jesus said never did say we could never thought we would. He just merely said it said only as you learn to abide in me as I Jesus walked on this earth doing nothing. Unless the father told me to do it and saying that thing unless a father told me to say it, so send I you that’s how you live your life total dependency on the Father.” – Bob George
