Rest in Jesus

~ People need to hear Truth today more than ever. Don’t hold Truth back from people. Share it with them. If you hear someone believing a lie, tell them Truth. If you hear people sharing lies, remind them of the Truth. Truth always is faithful. Jesus is TRUTH. All religions are lies. All of the world loves believing the lies of Satan. Hardly anyone wants to believe Truth today. They would much rather believe the teaching of man rather than the teaching of God. Faith says I believe God and responding properly to Him. So when the Holy Spirit points out something to you, and places it on your heart, follow through with Truth with a person. Just like Julie heard someone in her “church” that was believing the lie of thinking God is going to judge them when they die for some sin committed years ago. It grieved Julie’s heart to hear that from this person. Well folks, that is a prime opportunity to share Truth with a person. There is more than one way to share Truth. Talk with them privately. Invite them to a Bible study. Or, if the Holy Spirit is telling you, tell it like it is in the church setting. Because if those lies are NOT being corrected, then other lies are being taught big time in that church, which is NOT the True church anyways. And as a reminder, Jesus did not beat around the bushes. He always told Truth, no matter what the consequences were. Jesus. God in flesh, always did what the Father wanted Him to do, and always said what the Father wanted Him to say. So trust in Jesus to be your Living guide, alive living in you through the Holy Spirit. And He, the Holy Spirit will make your paths straight.

~ “For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, e just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.” ^{Hebrews 4:8-11}

~ “Julie, that’s the biggest disappointment that we have in in this ministry, I have the joy of knowing when a person is caught on to the fact that they’re no longer under the law, but under grace and that God is not going to get you and God’s not going to zap you and he’s not going to take you to the woodshed but that you are in the Sabbath rest that God called you to great joy when I know a person’s grabbed a hold of this. There’s also great sorrow to that because I know that it’s going to be very difficult then to find a place to fellowship where the totality of grace is taught. Julie I where people don’t realize that the goal, the goal of teaching is not to teach not to teach people how to get along in the desert, and how to build good churches in the desert and and how to try to get some water in the desert. The goal of Christian teaching is to get people into the promised land. In other words, to get them into the Sabbath rest, that’s the goal to get a person resting, where they’ll never be like you went through, you will never be out there in the desert doubting your salvation and being told, if you do this, God’s gonna get your you have none of that you’re supposed to rest resting from your works, just as he did from his you have accepted the fact that you are a child of the living God, born again, by the grace of God, sins totally taken away from the eyes of God, never to see them again, nothing that can cause the life that he has given to you to ever depart from you. That’s why you know, that you have eternal life is because of the eternal consequence of the cross where He took away the cause of death. Knowing all those things, and resting in it, you can add to it, you can’t subtract from it, I cannot make myself more sanctified, I can’t make myself more glorified, I can’t make myself more justified, I can’t make myself more reconciled. I’m just resting in the fact this is what Jesus did for me. That’s the goal of Christian teaching. But you see, the world doesn’t want to go into the Sabbath rest. And I will tell you something. Out of the millions of others, supposedly 1.1 million people who went out of Egypt into the desert for 40 years, only two people out of that generation went into the promised land two, two people out of 1,000,000.12 two out of that generation. That’s all two. People don’t want to go into the into grace, they don’t want to go into the Promised Land and drink from wells that they didn’t dig in and eat from trees that they didn’t plant. They want to work at it. And so they stay in the desert, because of their unbelief. They said they did not enter in because of their unbelief. So we stay in the desert and build churches, and build, like Las Vegas in the desert. And we build the churches, we build all of this, in order to help people to have bowling alleys in your church and activities in your church and activities in the desert and fun in a desert. And shows in the desert and good choirs in the desert. And it’s a desert religion. Because people don’t want to go in and rest. And people don’t want to teach people to go into rest because they don’t know what it is to go in and rest.” – Bob George
