Understanding the Truth of Completed Forgiveness And The Finality of the Cross

~ In today’s corporate church world, the truth of the finality of the cross and the completeness of forgiveness on the cross is NOT taught. Instead, what is being taught today is simply a form a works based forgiveness and a mixture of law and grace, thinking that getting a person’s sins forgiven gives life to the dead. They don’t teach that a person is saved by the resurrected life of Christ Jesus, NOT his death.

~ “For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!” ^{Romans 5:10}

~ “You know, when I listened to that CD, and I listened to the clarity of the teaching, of the finality of the cross over your program, I just, I can’t express how much it’s blessed me, and I just keep up the good work. But I’d like to get some of those notes from you. And, you know, the what I see also, I mean, not to get too long winded here, but just with leaving the borders open, and a lot of our Armenian, Spanish friends coming in the country, just how this thing has crept into the church, this idea that we can come to some sinless state of perfection and that God expects something out of us, that’s basically works. We’ve talked about this, you and I have on the phone before, but just about every denomination in some form or another, you know, and when you teach the finality of the cross, and that come to Jesus, have your not not your sins forgiven, but come to Him for what He has to offer. And that’s his life. You know, it’s just such, to the church, it’s just such an abstract teaching that it’s not so welcome.” ~ Kevin

And that’s, again, what we mentioned earlier, that’s what we’re there for, is to get people in love with Christ. You know, we’re not asking anybody to join People to People, or to come to become a member of something, but to be a part of the body of Christ, which all of us who are in Christ Jesus are a part of the body of Christ. And, and there’s not a more remarkable thing in the world that we can come to grips with, in the fact that we’re indwelt by God, why he would want to come and live inside of us, I don’t know, outside of the fact of love, but he has chosen to do so. And when you realize that God who made this universe, big enough to make this universe and yet small enough to live in our hearts. It’s it’s pretty amazing thing. So we really appreciate your sincerity and appreciate what God is doing in your life, my brother, and we just praise God for you.
