God Did Not Give us a Spirit of Fear But of Power and Love

~ “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” ^{2 Timothy 1:7}

~ There was a followup call by Ann who wanted to add more insight into doctors and what doctors are doing today of imparting fear into people and also killing them or running a person into the ground with the administering of drugs themselves. All decisions should NOT be based on fear. But in every decision we make take it to the Lord in prayer, and listen to the Holy Spirit who is alive living in you if you are in Christ Jesus for He has given us the mind of God, living in us to make sound decisions. Also, in today’s program, Bob goes into the details of the gospel. For many are believing something other than the true gospel, which is no gospel at all.

~ “Hi, Bob. I just wanted to especially thank you for the way you handle that call of the man with the brain cancer a while ago, I was so happy to hear you mentioned that Christians should not be making their decisions about treatment from fear. Yeah. I actually had several relatives and also friends that have passed away, including my husband two years ago, cancer, it’s like epidemic, I can’t believe it, both young and old. And I do a lot of volunteer work. So I see a lot of the things that are going on. And I don’t know, even if it’s only just that they’re afraid of being sued as some of the things that I see. Well, I believe in some cases, it’s money. It’s a lot of different things. But no, I agree. But I saw some terrorized. I sat with an elderly man that I helped take care of the last six weeks of his life and they were like radiating his ankle every day and drawing he was dying of cancer through his chest. Rolling to oncology every day. But one beautiful thing that I did want to share and I know that it was the Lord did at already begin to see a lot of the things through my brother in law, they terrorized him the last six months did everything from making a big hole in his leg to you just wouldn’t believe. And they were. Every time he went in, they were making me more fearful. And he was trying to do everything that he could to live because he was just terrified. And I’m hoping he was a believer. But anyway, it was so tragic that right after that, then it hit my family. And it was with my husband and I prayed. I just really begged the Lord, Lord, if it’s going to be his time, you know, you’ll have to help me face that. But don’t let them fill him with fear to make the last few months of his life worse. Right, Bob, I just want to I want to praise the Lord, because one of the first things they said is there’s nothing we can do for you. And I knew that was true. And I knew the Lord made them do that. Yeah, yeah. And that was my consolation. And when I heard you talking about that I just myself, it’s probably been 20 years ago, I was told I was gonna die, but didn’t have my gallbladder out. I still have it, and different things like that. But what I would I mean, what I wanted to ask you to besides complimenting you because I know, like I said, I love the fact that you brought up the Christians should not even base medical decisions on fear. No, and they really shouldn’t. And that’s so good that you brought that up. And don’t you think that we should do a lot more communication and praying with the Lord before we submit our bodies in a lot of areas? I mean, we’ve been so programmed. I’m not a faith healer, person, okay. I mean, it’s not been the hand would have missing for me. But I do believe that there are times and I know in my personal life, the Lord has healed me through going to him. And he chose to do that. And at the times I’ve had to endure, but don’t you think that we should take a lot more of our medical problems to him than we do without just automatically submitting our bodies, in most cases, to a lot of ungodly people, even if your doctor may say he’s a Christian, though. You’ve got to deal with people in labs and all kinds of things. And so the Lord just I mean, I felt like the Lord was encouraged as far as me, I’m not afraid to totally submit my body only to the Lord. I tell everybody, you know, you got to make your decision. But when would you agree that They at least need to go more to the Lord instead of based on those? You know.” ~ Ann

~ “I think it’s, Ann you know, I see that understanding and knowing the Word of God is more preparatory to me than crisis. In other words, I see a lot of people who spend no time at all studying who they are in Christ Jesus, don’t really, don’t have a clue. You say who are well, I’m a Baptist, and we know I am a Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist. But do you know you’re a child of God? Do you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit of God? Do you know that you’re totally forgiven? Do you know that? And the answer that is not really. And so therefore, you’re not prepared for crisis. And that’s what the Scripture does. It prepares you for crisis, every one of us are going to face death, death of loved ones, death of children possibly, death of your parents, and your own death. We’re all going to face that. Well, how are you going to prepare yourself for that? And so people say, well, by watching, you know, television, by watching people like old Benny that just, you know, comes down, we had think there was no, you’d think that there wasn’t a well person on the face of the earth that all Christians are a bunch of sicklings, because that’s all they talk about.” ~ Bob George
