If a Person is Living Under Law, They Are NOT Being Led by the Spirit of God

~ If someone is trying to obey the law of God, they are Not being lead by the Spirit of God. And there is a good chance they do not have the Spirit of God living in them for life. Now that may seem to some people to be harsh to say that, but that is the Truth according to the word of God. Let’s not beat around the bush on this. For is it not better to make sure a person is saved, rather than to assume they are saved, when we have indicators from the word of God that in all likelihood they are not saved? And it doesn’t matter who we are talking about, Catholic or Protestant, it doesn’t matter, for many Protestants who think they are saved, are just as dead lost as the Catholic who follows the teachings of the Catholic church. And it makes no difference if they are a pastor or not, if a person is living under law, they are NOT being led by the Spirit of God. Anyone who has the Spirit of God living in them, is no longer under the supervision of the Law, and they have not entered into the New Covenant with God. They are believing the lies of Satan, rather than believing that it is finished. One of the deceptions of Satan is making people think they are saved, when they are NOT. Scripture tells us, to test ourselves, to make our calling and election sure. Are you living in the New Covenant today, or are you following some sort of Law?

So the bottom line is, don’t assume that someone is saved, especially when there are such clear indications that they are still lost and in need of the Holy Spirit for Life. Share the TRUTH from the word of God, and always bring the conversation back to what is their understanding of salvation? Because if their foundation is off, everything else will be off too.

“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.” ^{Romans 8:14}
“But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” ^{Galatians 5:18}
“Therefore, brothers, strive to make your calling and election sure. For if you practice these things you will never stumble,” ^{2 Peter 1:10}

Behold the Lamb of God Who Took Away the Sins of the World

Lord Jesus, teach me the TRUTH of the world we live in today and the Truth of You.

One caller was dealing with family members that want to live under the dietary restrictions of the old covenant:

“They’re not guided by the Holy Spirit. The Bible tells you very clearly that if you’re guided by the law, you cannot be guided by the Spirit of God. So they’re not guided by the Spirit of God. That’s a lie, and that’s why I say that there’s enough of that type of thing there that you that that I would challenge them in their salvation. Let me give you Romans 8:14, because those who are led by the Spirit are are of God, are sons of God. So if you’re not being led by the Spirit, you’re not a son of God. And but in Galatians 5:18, if you’re led by the Spirit, you are not under law, which means that when you’re under the law, you are not led by the Spirit. Galatians, 5:18, if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. If you’re under the law, you are not led by the Spirit. Now these people are saying, I am a spirit filled legalist. When Paul said, You must die to the law in order to come alive and to walk in the newness of life that is ours through Christ, Jesus. And so they are turning to another gospel if they’ve ever known the gospel. And what you need to do, Dave, and my recommendation to you is to get off of the conversation of what you eat and get on to the conversation is, are you born again? Have you come to Christ for life, not just to get your sins forgiven, but for life? Are you in the new covenant that we live in today? Take them to Hebrews nine, and talk about the new covenant that we are in today. Talk about the fact that the law was weak and useless. And why? Because the law was weak and useless? No, because when it flowed through us, it killed us. The law could not do anything for us except show us that we are sinful and in need of salvation. If their ministry, if the ministry that condemns, that’s the law, is glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness? For what was glorious, that was the law, with all of its rules and regulations, dietary rules, 10 Commandments, has no glory at all in comparison to the surpassing glory, and if what was fading away came with glory, that’s the law. How much greater is the glory which lasts forever? The old is gone and the new has come, and they’re still living under the old. But it may be that they’re still under the Old Covenant, because they’ve never been saved into the new covenant, and that’s where I would concentrate my time.” ~ Bob George
