Faith is From Beginning to Last, Faith is the Starting Point That Never Ends

~ When Jesus walked upon the earth, he was God in flesh, teaching people the truth of the word of God. Jesus taught under the old covenant. It’s very important to understand that. When Jesus taught, he had not gone to the cross yet, for the sins of the whole world. He was headed to the cross, but it had not happened. And once the death of Jesus happened on the cross, that is what implemented the NEW COVENANT.

Now when Jesus was teaching, he was teaching under the LAW of God. He showed everyone how stringent the law was. Some people foolishly thought they were obeying the law, but they were nothing more than hypocrites pretending they were obeying the law. For God looks at the heart. And Jesus explained the details of that. He said, if you get angry with someone, you have already committed murder in your heart. If you look at another person lustfully, you have already committed adultery in your heart.

So just like the people of the days when Jesus walked upon the earth, they didn’t like his interpretation of the word of God (His very words by the way), people today are doing the same thing, great pretenders of law keeping of the word of God. They have not come to the end of their own self sufficiency and instead believe their own lies (that they are obeying the law of God that was written on stone).

So faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. But then faith continues, not based on doing this or doing that, but based on processing truth through faith. Drawing proper FAITH conclusions. How we are responding to truth is key. Allowing the Holy Spirit to teach you ALL TRUTH. And Truth is not just the truth of the word of God either. It’s the truth of the world. It’s the truth of understanding the lies we have been taught. It’s the truth about ALL things. And the Holy Spirit is there (living right in a born again believer today), and if you ask him to show you truth, ALL Truth, he said he would. A simple prayer, “Lord Jesus show me ALL Truth.” Faith is believing he will do what he promised he would do. Reminder, Jesus is very near through His Holy Spirit, and you can’t get any closer than you are right now to God, if you are in Christ and He is in you. Truth.

A word of warning. Jesus said, that he would take care of things quickly when he returns, but he asked the question, Would he find faith upon the earth? And if we really look at things today, there are pockets of faith here and there, but by in large, there is hardly any faith on earth today.

~ For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
^{Romans 1:17}

~ I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” ^{Luke 18:8}

~ But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future]. ^{John 16:13}

~ “Well, Raymond, I don’t think that I understand your question, I don’t think I understand fully your question on that. What you have to realize, what you have to realize is when you’re reading the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, you’re not reading New Covenant at that time. It’s not that Jesus didn’t like the New Covenant is that he hadn’t died yet and entered it in we hadn’t entered into it yet. It didn’t. We didn’t have a yet. And Jesus had a purpose for being here on Earth, in his teaching, and his purpose was to prepare us for salvation. Everything Jesus said, was preparatory for the end of his life, he came to die, to take away the sins of the world, and to be raised again in order to give life to the dead. That’s why he came. Why did he teach the way he did for three and a half or even four years, some people believe? It was to prepare us for that event. If I if I don’t see that I’m a sinner. His cross means nothing to me. If I don’t know that I’m dead spiritually, His resurrection means nothing to me. If you if you’re trying to if you’re sharing Christ with somebody just telling them to get your sins forgiven, and you don’t believe you’re a sinner, you may as well tell him to go out and have a steak sandwich. Because until I see my condition, I’m not ready for his provision. And so there are many things that Jesus said that was said in such a way that prepared us to see that we can’t but he can. And so when you’re when you’re dealing with eternal punishment, you’re dealing with what will take place to a person who has never come to salvation. Now that had not come as yet, because Christ had not died on the crosses yet. But whenever you’re talking about eternal punishment, and then the righteousness, I think is where you’re dealing with to eternal life, you’re talking about those that have received the righteousness of Christ Jesus will be saved eternally, and those who refuse Christ Jesus will live in eternal punishment. And that’s that that’s a, that’s a very scary thing. But again, what we do after we’re saved, Raymond, it’s like, it’s like a hammer. A person who manufactured a hammer had in mind, putting it in the hands of a carpenter and letting build a house for somebody or build something for somebody. You put that hammer into the hands of a murderer, and he can hit you in the head with you with it and kill you. It’s not the fault of the hammer. It’s not the fault of the hammer, it’s whose hands it’s in. And so what we do with the grace of God that has been extended to us, that’s our decisions. It doesn’t negate the grace of God at all. It doesn’t negate salvation at all. It just means how I am what I’m doing with this gift that God has given me. And so there are many people, when they come to Christ, they come to Christ with a lot of barnacles hanging on them. The Corinthian church was simply it was certain was certainly an example that, they were Christians, and yet we’re having orgies at the Lord’s Supper. And yet he called them saints. Now, why did he do that? Well, because they were saints, they were born again. They were acting like fools. But they were born again. And therefore, in Titus, it says, It’s the grace of God that teaches us to say no to unrighteousness Why do I need the grace of God when I already have the grace of God? Well, he said, because it’s the learning about the grace of God is the very thing that as a born again, believer, it will teach you to say no to the unrighteous things that’s still hanging on. Oh, yeah. Otherwise, you’re a goner. talk to this guy last night did to the fact that let’s say when you were born again, that all your sins went away and you just were as perfect as could be, you know, the next thing that happened to you, you’d forget Jesus in a New York minute. So it’s, we have to realize that Jesus had a reason I used to question to him on that Lord, why did you leave me with this stupid sin nature? Why didn’t he just eradicate all that and let just let me be all Jesus? And it was like Jesus said, Bob, if I did that, you’d walk away in a minute, because you have no need for me. Your weaknesses are the very things that keep you dependent upon Christ, it’ll either turn you away from me or it’ll keep you dependent upon me. And if you’re walking by faith, it’ll keep you dependent upon me. And so that’s that’s how we function on this land Raymond we function by faith and we realize that there is nothing that’s can separate us from the love of God once we are in Christ Jesus the reason nothing can separate you is because of the cross where He took away the thing that could separate you and that’s sin” ~ Bob George
