Faith Says Thank You to God For What He Did For You!

~ In yesterday’s broadcast, we heard about Faith and Works. Today, we hear the direct application of how Faith and Works are tied together. No amount of working will cause God to save you. Only by Faith is a person Saved, by the Life of Jesus coming to live inside of them, through the Holy Spirit making them born again of the Spirit of God for eternal life. The work (singular) of the ministry is to Believe in Jesus that He did it all for You personally. That happens at a single point in time. It doesn’t happen over and over and over again, as though you can make God forgive you more, or save you more. Only by resting in Him, and what He alone did for you at the cross, having taken away your sins completely from the eyes of God, never to see them again, and now, He gives you His life (The Spirit of God) for Eternal life the very moment you place faith in Him. So if a person is asking over and over again, to do what God has already done, it shows by their actions that they have NOT placed faith in Jesus to begin with. They are living in a self works related system of repeatedly asking, and asking, and asking ad nauseum for what Jesus had done once for ALL. Faith instead says Thank you to God, that He has done it ALL. So the work (singular), meaning the business of God’s ministry, is to believe in Jesus. Allow the Holy Spirit to work in and through you today. Share with people, the Truth of the Word of God.

Then they inquired, “What must we do to perform the works of God?”

Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.” John 6:28-29

Consider having a Bible study yourself and teaching one or two others the Truth of the word of God. Those with ears, they will want to hear. We have many excellent Bible study books that are very easy to use that involve simply reading the word of God and answering the questions provided. The answers themselves are right there in the word of God.

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” ^{2 Corinthians 5:18-21}

Behold the Lamb of God Who Took Away the Sins of the World

Lord Jesus, teach me the TRUTH of the world we live in today and the Truth of You.

“I was just saying, um, this just seemed like, no matter what I do, it don’t feel like I’m saved, and I keep on backsliding. I try hard as I can. I’ll be in all the different church functions, trying to do what I can. Just don’t seem like I don’t seem like I’ll be saved. I find myself in the same situation.”

~ Bob George
“Well, Charlie, you see what you’re saying is you’re trying to be saved by works, and you can’t be saved by works. And the evidence of that is saying, I keep trying to do but I never feel saved. Well, that’s because you can’t be saved by doing. You have to be saved by faith and faith alone. As a matter of fact, Charlie, the way you’re going to be saved is when you come to the conclusion, I think you probably already have hit that, that I can’t do it. Now you’re on your way to salvation when you understand that you can’t. Now you’re going to have to turn to the one who could, and that’s Christ, Jesus. And so there’s nothing that we can do. In other words, if the wages of sin is death and you are dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, there is no way for a dead man to create life in and of himself. That life has to come from outside of himself, and that life that we’re looking for is spiritual life, and that can only come through the resurrected life of Christ, Jesus. So we have to realize that the wages, the consequence of sin is more, quite frankly, is a bigger problem than sin. Sin cause death, but death is your problem, and the only solution to death is resurrected life in Christ. And so you can’t work for that, Charlie, that’s something you have to just graciously come to the point of saying, Lord Jesus, I have no life, spiritual life inside of me, and I have no ability to produce that. I have no ability at all to keep my sins forgiven. You had to do that, and so I’m giving up, and today I’m turning to you totally for my salvation. I’m going to thank you today for the taking away of my sins from the eyes of God never to see them again. I didn’t deserve that. I certainly didn’t earn it, but I’m going to thank you for it, and I’m going to thank you for the fact that the wages of sin is death, and I’m dead spiritually, and you are now offering me your resurrected life, and so I therefore today, am going to accept you as my life once and for all, I’m never going to doubt that again. And whenever the enemy comes in and tries to tell me I’m not saved, I’m going to tell him to get lost. Because today, I have done exactly what the Bible says you do, to be born again. I have thanked you for your death. I have praised you for your resurrection, and I have asked that life, your life, to come, to live in me and to give me eternal life. And when that occurs, you’re born again.” ~ Bob George

“And, what does it feel like? I’m doing it every day.”

~ Bob George
“That’s not faith. I’m saying, Do you remember what I said? I’ll never do that again. If you’re doing it again, it means you didn’t believe it the first time. So Charlie, there’s no other you can’t get around this. You’re either going to have to make up your mind that Jesus meant what he said, and said what he meant, and that he said that, Charlie, the only way that you’re going to be saved is by faith in me and me alone. Get yourself out of the equation. I’m not. I don’t have you in the equation. I have me in the equation, and I have come to do it all. I’ve taken away your sins from the eyes of God, and I’m now offering you your resurrected life, my resurrected life. Do you want it or don’t you? If you do, and I’m going to give it to you, but don’t insult me by asking me for it again. In other words, this is a total change of mind. That’s what repentance is, Charlie. It’s a total change of heart and mind. I’m not going to ask anymore. This is it. I will for from this, from this day forth, I will thank you for your presence in my life. You think you can do that? You want to do it today and just dive the stake today. Okay, let’s just pray together, Charlie, and this is for the last time, Lord Jesus, for the last time. I’m going to thank you for taking away my sins from the eyes of God.” ~ Bob George
