How Do We Know We Are Saved? What is the Gospel That Saves?

~ So many people today are confused as to what even is the true gospel that saves a person. Many people have added to the gospel that truly saves. There are so many false teachers on television, radio and the Internet, that are preaching a different gospel than the ONE gospel that saves a person. And one of the most twisted deceptions that Satan has thrown at the world are ALL the different false gospel messages, that makes many people believe they are saved when they are not. For most people, when you talk with them, don’t even understand what salvation is. Most people falsely believe that salvation is when they get their sins forgiven, based on their asking God to forgive them. They don’t realize that God has already forgiven them at the cross, and that God is NOT counting anyone’s sins against them today. And there is only one sin that needs to be repented of (a change of mind), of the person and work of Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, who took upon himself the sins of the world (which includes your sins and my sins too). “For He who knew no sin became sin for us so that we could become the righteousness of God in Him!” [2 Corinthians 5:21] Rest in Jesus and His finished work on the cross for you. Don’t let anyone put you on a guilt trip or add to the gospel by having to do something else to be saved or keep yourself saved. Stand firm in the TRUE gospel that saves! Stop listening and promoting agents of Satan, who are masqueraders and have been transformed as though they are ministers of righteousness.

~ Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, and in which you stand firm. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephasa and then to the Twelve. After that, He appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. Then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles. And last of all He appeared to me also, as to one of untimely birth. ^{1 Corintians 1:1-8}

~ I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse! ^{Galatians 1:6-9}

~ However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. ^{Romans 5:4}

~ And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. ^{2 Corinthians 11:14,15}

Caller: Randy:
~ “Bob, I’ve got kind of a generic question. Never heard anybody asked it. I hear a lot of people asking similar type questions. But how do I know that I’m saved beyond a shadow of a doubt?” ~ Randy

Bob George:
~ “By the fact Randy, that have you come to put faith in the finished work of Christ Jesus at the cross? Again, there’s two things. Randy, that’s paramount in my opinion to salvation. First of all, I have to believe what God says about me. And I have to believe what God says about my sin. In other words, I’m not going to call homosexuality an alternate lifestyle. I’m not going to call drunkenness alcoholism, I’m gonna call it what God calls that drunkenness. So I’m going to agree with God as to what he says about me and my problem. And I’m going to agree with him in regard to his solution. And I’m going to put faith in that. Now. God said about you, and your lost state that your heart was wicked and deceitful above all things and who can know it? He said that there’s none unrighteous, no, not one. That’s a problem. Because How’s an unrighteous versus going to go into the presence of a righteous God? And he said, Well, I’ll tell you, because I came to give you my righteousness, I took your sins, all of them, and I placed them on me at the cross. And there Jesus who knew no sin became sin for you, so that you can become the righteousness of God in Him. And I took them away from the eyes of God never to see them again.” ~ Bob George

Caller: Randy:
“Well, I appreciate that. I just, I’ve heard other people tell you about listening to different preachers, and you’re the only guy on the radio that I hear actually preaching this kind of a message of salvation, where once you’re saved, you’re, you’re saved forever, and you don’t have to keep confessing your sins. And I mean, I’ve listened to all these other guys like Hanegraaff, and Stanley and I, you know, I just I quit, kind of quit listening to them, because I get confused pretty easily when I’m confused. But I just wanted a simple answer like that. I mean, I’m dealing with, I constantly deal with faith, faith doubt, I don’t know if that makes any sense. But my doubt in my faith and wondering if I’m actually trusting, and so it’s just kind of a day to day problem. And I do end up giving it back to the Lord, but then I fall back into my problems again. And so it’s just an up and down thing. I don’t even know how to, but I never heard anybody asked that question. So I kind of appreciate it. So thanks a lot.” ~ Randy
