What is Salvation? The LIFE of God Living in You

~ “But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

~ Many folks today have no clue what salvation really is. And the reason for that is because we have all been taught a boatload of lies from Satan and the demons. Many people think salvation is getting their sins forgiven by God. They have been taught that if they ask for forgiveness from God, that God grants their wish. Think it through folks, we are not the initiators of forgiveness, God Himself is the one that forgave the sins of the whole world at the cross, and the world includes you too. When do you hear pastors today teach the following TRUTH? “That God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s trespasses (sins) against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:19 And if you do hear a sermon on it, they will teach it in such a way as to make it seem like you have to ask for forgiveness by God in order to be reconciled to Him. Yet we know that without the shedding of blood there is no forgivness by God. And God is never going to die on the cross ever again.

So what is salvation? Salvation is the Life of the Holy Spirit coming to live in you when you place Faith in Jesus, the One who took away all your sins at the cross, and is no longer counting any sins against you. Prior to Faith, you were dead, in the uncircumcision of your heart. You did NOT have the Holy Spirit living in you. But after Faith comes, He makes you alive in Christ Jesus. And therefore the Holy Spirit is given to you immediately and HE remains in you forever.

Bible Study Books

Bob George discusses the importance of understanding the resurrection of Christ alongside the crucifixion, emphasizing that salvation is through Christ’s life, not just His death. He clarifies that the law has been fulfilled and believers are no longer under it, having been freed from the law of sin and death. Bob addresses callers’ questions about faith, the role of the Holy Spirit, and the distinction between law and grace. He also criticizes the mixing of law and grace in Messianic congregations and stresses the need for individual spiritual guidance over organized church activities.

“Well, April, appreciate you your honesty, and what you’ve formed there and been able to communicate is, quite frankly, the condition of many, many, many people in the Christian world today. As far as you’ve you’ve heard enough of what we were talking about, where the scripture says that while we were yet enemies, and that means, when you were lost, when you were before you were saved, you were reconciled to God through the death of his son. So you were reconciled to God through the death of his son when you were born, when you were lost. But then it goes ahead to say, how much more, having been reconciled, shall you be saved by His life? That’s Romans five, eight. So you’re not saved by the death of Christ. You’re saved by the life of Christ. And that’s why Paul said, without the resurrection, we’re to be pitied of all people and are still in our sins, knowing full well at a cross had occurred where he took away the sins of the world, but also knowing that that was not salvation, but that was what prepared man for salvation, that God’s taking away the sins of the world was a necessity to do in order to offer us life eternal, because sin is what caused life to depart from Adam, sin is what caused life to depart from Jesus. And sin would be the thing that would cause the life of God to depart from you and me. And that’s why, in order to know that I have eternal life is to know that he took away my sins. Because had he not taken away them all eternally, the next time I sinned after he gave me life, I’d be dead again. And so in order to give you eternal life, he had to eternally deal with what caused spiritual death, and that was sin, and that’s what he did at the cross. And so that’s where there’s no more forgiveness of sin to be executed on our behalf. If there was he’d have to come and die again. And Hebrews talks about that, that day after day, every priest stands and performs his religious duties over and over and over again, which can never what. Take away sin. Cover sin. Yeah, take it away. No way. And so Christ’s sacrifice at the Cross April was such a I guess the only word I can use is just unbelievable event, where there He who knew no sin became sin for you and me, so that in his resurrection, we could become the righteousness of God in Him and so we but what we’ve done is kind. And trade on the cross. At the exclusion of the resurrection, we’ve made the cross salvation instead of preparatory to salvation. It’s interesting that Jesus died on the day of preparation, the HEBREW holiday of the day of preparation. That’s interesting, isn’t it? And that’s stated in John numerous times. It’s the day of preparation. Well, that’s what the cross was. Was the day of preparation. When he prepared us for salvation, having taken away eternally the cause of spiritual death, he’s now ready to give you life eternal. And so when you’ve come to Him, not just for his death for you, but his life in you, and to realize that the living Christ lives in you, the Holy Spirit of God came to bring Christ to you, and that you have the mind of Christ, and you have the divine nature living in you. And said that when we’re told that we now have the ability to participate in the divine nature that lives in us. Now, what is participating in that? Well, you’ve got someone to connect into that you didn’t have before you got a plug in you that you didn’t have. That when you plug into that, that’s where you receive all of the information and the knowledge and the wisdom and the fruit of God live and so, but if you don’t plug into it, well, you’re just back into the into the things of the flesh. So what faith says is to relax. Faith says, take a deep breath and say thank you, Lord Jesus, thank you. And from that moment on, you’re going to be thanking God for the rest of your life for the fact that he took away your sins. And there’s no sin or guilt for us. There’s no condemnation awaiting us who belong to Christ, Jesus, the law of the Spirit of Life has set us free from the law of sin and death, totally free. Now, when I put that to rest, April, something happens to you, because if I can’t walk by faith in what I could have stood at the foot of the cross and seen Jesus do, how am I going to walk by faith in the invisible spirit that lives in me? It’s just not. It just talk. You’re not going to and so until I finalize the cross, I’m never going to realize the resurrection. I’ll never realize the dynamic of the resurrection until I realize the effect of the cross. And so that’s where we come to a point and say, Lord, that’s it. It’s the last time you’re going to hear me ever ask you to do what you died to accomplish for me. I’ll spend the rest of my life thanking you for my forgiveness, but I’m not going to ever ask you to forgive me again, because if you would answer that prayer, you would have to go die again. And I don’t want you to go die again. You did it once, and you did it for all, and that’s good enough for me that I’m going to thank You that I am a forgiven person, and now as a forgiven person, I thank you that you live in me and that I have the ability now to participate in your divine nature and to learn from you every day of my life to be a student and a disciple and to learn what righteousness really is from your mouth. Direct God to me, it’s the most exciting thing on the face of the earth. Does that help?” ~ Bob George
