It’s So Important to Understand The Truth About The Lord’s Supper, Tithing and Repentance

When it comes to giving today, people are placed on guilt trips as a means of control by legalistic churches. And most of the pastors will do so, even indirectly telling a person to give their “tithes and offerings” to help support the particular ministry. Well folks, anyone preaching tithing is actually preaching legalism today. And quite frankly, no one that is a true Christian should be supporting legalism in any way. Why would you want to support your chain masters? And furthermore, tithing is simply the tip of the iceberg for these pastors and teachers of the law. For if they are teaching tithing in error you can rest assured that they are teaching other major errors also.

Another area where people are taught major error is in regards to the Lord’s Supper. The Lord’s Supper is not about introspection of sins and looking at one’s self to see if they are cleaned up or not. It’s sicking how the Lord’s Supper has been perverted over the years, and most churches don’t teach the truth in regards to the Lord’s Supper because they themselves do not know the truth of the word of God.

And another topic of conversation that gets people off the straight tracks is not understanding the meanings of the words repentance and repent. We have been lied to as far as what pastors and teachers are teaching in regards to repenting from all of your sins. It may come as a surprise to some, that no one has ever repented of all of their sins. We repent unto salvation. We change our mind (repent) and trust in Jesus for our salvation. We place faith in Him. This is true repentance in regards to our salvation.

The last caller was Tom calling from Dale City, Virginia. He was struggling with memories of sexual sins. He was looking for some help into this area of remembering these things from the past, and they were affecting him today.

Bob gives some helpful advice about putting this in perspective and focusing on Christ Jesus and what He did at the cross for us. And for us to understand our true identity in Christ. For God is the one who made us perfect forever in Him.
