Jesus Was Born of Flesh, Jesus Died in the Flesh, Jesus Was Resurrected in Flesh and Will Return in Flesh

~ Jesus sets the record straight, when he returned from the dead, He had a physical body and has a physical body today. He pointed out to witnesses that it was He in the flesh. He was not simply a spirit or a ghost, but he has a physical body. Even the apostle Thomas had to be convinced that Jesus had a real physical body that he could touch and see. He wanted to place his fingers in the side of Jesus to verify it was really him. Thomas said, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” But the key here is that Jesus does indeed have a physical body. Blessed are those that see with spiritual eyes today. And someday too, we shall be given our glorified new body of flesh and bone. It will not be like this body of flesh and blood that is in a state of decay, but it will be one that lasts forever and ever. For all those in Christ Jesus will be transformed and be given a body like Jesus has too. That will be a glorious day for sure. In the meantime, understand this, that our current flesh and blood cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. That’s why we need a new body, which Jesus said he has prepared for us. And those that are born again of the Holy Spirit have been given the Holy Spirit as a guarantee of that Truth. So rejoice in the Lord, and again I say rejoice!

~ “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” ^{John 1:14}

~ “Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a [spirit] hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.” ^{Luke 24:39}

~ “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. ~ For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing. For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies. While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us. Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life. God himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit. So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord. For we live by believing and not by seeing. Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord. So whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please him. For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body. ^{2 Corinthians 5:1-10 NLT}

~ “Well, it’s never talked about is it and if it didn’t talk about it, anything worrying about I, you know, as far as as, as a ghost as an entity. I don’t think just because Jesus said I’m not a ghost meant that he was supporting the fact that there are ghosts. So, yeah, no, I don’t see any verification for that at all. Joe, I think that you certainly have evil spirits that work in people. That could be you know, that certainly could create what we would think of as ghosts like activities. But I don’t think that I know that the statement of Jesus there certainly was in verifying the fact that there were ghosts. Okay, so I just have to you know, I have to look at that and say no, I think I think people will really want to get involved in all kinds of spectacular ism would want to think that but but I don’t see verification for it at all. Already gonna you have people think they walk into houses and see ghosts floating around and you see, you know, you have people you know, that guy, that guy that talks on television that says he speaks to the day I don’t know you’ve seen him or not. You say Come on, you know in there and people gobble that kind of stuff up. You know, acres haunted houses, and, and there’s ghosts and houses will? Sorry, but that just doesn’t make any sense. And there’s nothing to confirm that biblically, as far as I know.” ~ Bob George
