Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Word of God P26 (04-06-21)

Synopsis

The word of God we hold in our hands is the plumbline for truth. We have the evidence and testimony written down through those who were eyewitnesses, affirming that this message is of divine origin. This message came to us from God. Even the apostles testify of the apostle Paul’s writings were from God, and Paul himself testified that no one else taught him except Jesus Christ. Knowing that is where truth is found, and discerned as true as the Spirit of God living in you reveals truth to you, then do you weigh the words of men carefully through the scriptures as to whether what they say are true or not?

Do you believe in Baptist doctrine as true because you were born Baptist and listened to a Baptist preacher? Do you believe Mormon doctrine because someone claimed they heard from an angel of God? Do you listen to a priest who says something is true because of something called oral tradition? How do you know what men say are true? Do you go to your favorite preacher? Do you go to Bob George? What would he say to you? He would say on the air, “I could be lying through my teeth to you to believe anything I am saying. The criteria for truth is not what is broadcast over the air on this program. The criteria for truth is the word of God you hold in your hands.”

The word of God spells out for us what to watch out for, lying signs and wonders, things that may be observed with our eyes, and maybe a miracle did occur, or at least seemed to with our eyes, but either way are leading people to follow after other gods. Jesus said many will come in my name saying they cast out demons and performed miracles in His name, but He will say to them, “I never knew you. You evil doer.” Consider the test of a prophet in the Old Testament, as written in Deuteronomy 13, that even if a sign or wonder does come true, but that prophet speaks a different message, to follow after other gods, do not listen to him. God did not send him. Indeed, in those days, such a prophet would be a false prophet and would be stoned to death.

There are people masquerading as an apostle of God today, and other people claiming to hear from angels yet that angel speaks a different gospel than the one the apostle Paul preached. There are people of flattering lips, preaching godliness as a means for financial gain, men puffed up with pride, of depraved mind, elevating themselves as an authority or of someone with special anointing. There are scriptures recorded down for us to identify a false prophet so we may run away from them.

Warn a divisive person once, who is teaching things contrary to what the Spirit has revealed to you as truth, not on trivial matters or disputable matters, but on unprofitable matters pertaining to the law, contrary to grace, and then after that have nothing to do with them. Do not put up easily with such false teachers. Reprove them strongly that the word of God is not maligned.

In regard to dealing with those who are truly divisive to what truth is, here is the word of the Lord on the matter.

Titus 3:9-11
9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. 10 Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them. 11 You may be sure that such people are warped and sinful; they are self-condemned.

In today’s world, the word “divisive” is often misapplied to those who are teaching grace. As an example, a person points out error in the body of Christ, and since it appears as a controversial matter, by those who are more concerned with keeping their place and authority than on what truth is, then a person is falsely accused of being divisive. In the case of Jesus, He was accused of blasphemy, for he taught things that were in conflict with what the interpreters of the word of God, the Sadducees and Pharisees, the religious leaders in his day, were teaching. The living Word was in conflict with the interpretation of those who were the interpreters of the written word. They did not like Jesus’ interpretation so they sought to get him out of the way. They were more concerned with their place and position than hearing truth that could save their soul. Their pride was in the way, causing their hearts to be so hard that truth could not penetrate so that may me be saved. Instead many of them would be eternally condemned. Jesus did not come to condemn but to save, for all men were condemned already. So as not to be condemned, would you not believe the truth presented to you, available to you in the word of God?

Those who are acting out of line in regard to the gospel, then consider carefully the instruction of the Lord in what He would have you do.

1 Timothy 5:19-21
19 Do not entertain an accusation against an elder unless it is brought by two or three witnesses. 20 But those elders who are sinning you are to reprove before everyone, so that the others may take warning. 21 I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism.

So they were gifts to the church but to be presenting themselves as some big deal? No. Look at what happened when they bowed down to Peter. They said, “Get up for I am just a man”.

Acts 10:25-26
25 As Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence. 26 But Peter made him get up. “Stand up,” he said, “I am only a man myself.”

Acts 14:13-15
13 The priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the city, brought bulls and wreaths to the city gates because he and the crowd wanted to offer sacrifices to them.

14 But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of this, they tore their clothes and rushed out into the crowd, shouting: 15 “Friends, why are you doing this? We too are only human, like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them.

1 Corinthians 3:4-6
4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere human beings?

5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe – as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.

Who are we? We are just servants. Quit worshipping at our feet. Yet, today people set themselves up as something different than the congregation out there. All of a sudden this separation took place between clergy and laity. That also is not of God. That appearance that I am some kind of a sweet sheep running around, take a look because you might have a ferocious wolf underneath.

There is another flag you have to look out for, in Matthew 7:21-23.

Matthew 7:21-23
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

That is a false prophet. I am not saying everyone who does that is a false prophet. It is a red flag when you see people emphasizing that. When you see someone prophesying in the name of God, saying, “I got this word directly from God”. You hear this all the time on television. That is a bunch of baloney. God speaks to us through the Holy Spirit indwelling in us.

Hebrews 1:1-2
1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.

There is not one of those guys who have a special deal, acting like they have walked into the Holy of Holies. “Now I am coming out of there and going to you commoners to lay some wisdom on you.” That is phoney baloney. That is a false prophet. But He did say there will be prophesying in His name. When you hear people emphasizing, “I am driving out demons, slaying them in the spirit, and I am performing one miracle after another”. When you see an emphasis on miracle performing and driving out demons, I am not saying they are false prophets but put a red flag up. But the Lord says those are false prophets, saying “Away from me, you evil doers”. The Lord says, “Get away from me”, but the Christian world is saying “Come unto them”. It is amazing the attraction that type of thing has. Man today is not interested in the calm effect of being born again and being indwelt by the Spirit. We are looking for spectaculars. God free us from the spectacular. That is the absolute thing that ultimately drives people away from truth, always looking for the spectacular.

Another red flag, and we talked about these in past lessons.

Galatians 1:8-9
8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

Anyone claiming that they got some kind of a message from an angel that is different from the revealed word of God, as it is in the scriptures we hold in our hands, the condemnation on them, as far as Paul was concerned, was eternal condemnation, eternally condemned. So if anyone is basing their religion on a message from an angel, you better realize something, that the judgment that Paul proclaimed upon them was not a minor judgment. It was an eternal condemnation. Those people are even worse than false prophets.

Any gospel that is preached to you and me that is different than the one Paul preached to you in the scripture is a false gospel. I believe the reason the condemnation was so severe from Paul is because of what it does to people. Whenever you get people into a false gospel and preach it and dress it up in all kinds of good looking tinsels, you have got a person deceived, many times, of no recovery. A red flag again. Anyone claiming they got their message, doctrine or bible from an angel, then realize something. God did not reveal Himself through an angel. He revealed Himself to us through His Son.

Another red flag that goes up is when anyone is adding to the bible, saying, “We got our own bible”. As it says in Revelation.

Revelation 22:18-19
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

God will take away from him his name from the book of life. He will not be in the book of life, not because of that, but the reason he is adding and subtracting from it, is because he is lost. A person saying, “I need Jesus plus this other book” is not saved. A person who thinks he is saved and says “I need Jesus, but I am going to take something away from it”, then he is not saved. If Jesus is not totally adequate in all things, then He ceases to be adequate. Anyone adding to the word of God, saying “Jesus plus and Jesus plus”. Any time you add to Jesus, you take away from Jesus. It is a red flag to look out for.

2 Corinthians 11:3-4
3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

Eve was deceived. Quite frankly, a woman is much easier to be deceived than a man. A man is just openly rebellious. Eve was deceived by the serpent. Adam was just openly rebellious. We have to realize our own limitations. Women have to realize their limitations. And we men have to understand our limitations. I do not know. Sometimes people will talk about willful sin. I do not know about you, but all my sins are willful. I do believe with women, that they kind of understand that, just kind of deceived. But to most guys, 99.9 percent is just plain willful. But we have to realize that weakness. To a woman you are easily deceived. You can be led astray easily. Why? A woman was made by God to be more subjective. The feelings that it takes. They are sensitive creatures. A woman has a heart with children, and a heart of compassion. With that, you can very easily be deceived through your own compassion, that I will do anything to alleviate some suffering, and I will believe anything that will alleviate some suffering to make me feel better. That is how you get deceived. So we have to realize there is a possibility of deception especially with any kind of doctrine that is pointing to your feelings rather than to the renewing of your mind.

Romans 12:2
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.

2 Corinthians 11:4
4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.

You are certainly going to find that in people who say that Jesus, instead of being born a virgin, that Elohim came down and had intercourse with Mary, and that is how the baby arrived, that is a different Jesus. You are saying the name Jesus, but that is not Jesus of the bible. Anyone teaching Jesus is not coming back again is not teaching the Jesus of the bible. If anyone preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preach. How can that be? If you are preaching a Jesus that was not crucified on a cross, that is not Jesus. If talking about Jesus not born of a virgin, not some Jesus that God came down to earth and had intercourse with Mary, that is not Jesus of the bible. That is a different Jesus altogether. Some people talk about Jesus who is not coming again. That is not Jesus of the bible. There are all kinds of ways to teach a different Jesus that the one teached by Paul and the apostles.

Or if you receive a different spirit than the one you received. The spirit we receive, as born again Christians is the Spirit of God. Is it possible to receive a different spirit? Yes. A spirit of deception and lies. That is possible. We live in a spiritual world. You can absolutely be indwelt by a spirit of deception if you are not born again. We need to understand that. So if it is a different spirit, and not the Holy Spirit, then not talking about the Godhead, of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Or a different gospel than the one you accepted. You put up with it easily enough. In the last days, you will hear attacks upon the real Jesus. You will hear attacks in regard to a different spirit and attacks in regard to a different gospel.

So he says to them, “You are putting up with this easily enough”. We do not need to be putting up with that type of thing. Jesus is Jesus of the bible. You take away from that, if you do not believe Jesus of the bible, and have made up your own. That Jesus could be burnt down. When taught of the Spirit, the Holy Spirit of God who came to live in you at spiritual birth, and not someone who came in later. As it says in Romans, that you might not be His, that if the Spirit of God does not live in you, then you do not belong to Him.

Romans 8:9
9 And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.

How can you be born again unless born again of the Spirit. So people who are teaching that you are born again today and receive a spirit later, if that is the case, then you have received a different spirit than the one the bible talks about. That is not the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God comes to live in you at spiritual birth, otherwise you are not born again. So what spirit did you receive back there? I do not know, but it is not the Spirit of the bible. Could you receive some other kind of spirit? Yes, you could. It is a spirit of deception but it is not the Holy Spirit. There is no way to be born again today and receive the Spirit of God tomorrow. When you are born again, which is birth, that is the imputation of life, that life comes to you when Christ, who is life, comes to live within you through the person of the Holy Spirit. So is it possible to talk about a different spirit? Yes, it is. Can you call it by the same name? Yes, you could. But it is a false representation. A different gospel is a different gospel.

What is a different gospel? A different gospel that the way you are saved is joining my church. That is a false gospel. The way to be saved is by being dunked in water. That is a false gospel. That is not the gospel Paul preached.

1 Corinthians 1:14-17
14 I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 so no one can say that you were baptized in my name. 16 (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t remember if I baptized anyone else.) 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel; not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

When you are preaching that in the gospel is baptism, you are preaching a false gospel because that is not true. There are many different gospels. It says you put up with it easily enough. “Oh, well everybody has their own viewpoint.” I am sorry. Your viewpoint is totally irrelevant. What I think about something is totally irrelevant. What my denomination thinks about something is totally irrelevant. What is relevant is, is it true? Is it true out of the word of God? Are you going to take something out of the totality of teaching of the word of God or are you going to cherry pick some scripture verses out of the bible and make a doctrine out of it?

Let us go onto Matthew 24 and Luke 17. Another red flag about false prophets. We see these types of things going on today.

Matthew 24:23-27
23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.

26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

In Luke 17:22-24, He says the same thing.

Luke 17:22-24
22 Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. 23 People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them. 24 For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.

You go down to Florida, or some place for vacation, and you see that unbelievably beautiful sunset that takes place. Then all of a sudden you see the rays of that sun come from one end of the horizon to another. It is the splendor and magnitude of God’s creation. Then there is what looks like an orange ball and the rays go out and it magnifies the sky, with all pink and blue and such a variety of colors. And you look down from one end to the other and you see the magnitude of it. That is what it is going to be like when Christ comes back. No one will miss that.

I am afraid because of the bent to the spectacular or the prideful stuff inside of us, to think that I would like a special appearance from God for me, so I can brag about it. If someone would come up and say, “Jesus is outside”, I would not blink. Or someone says, “Jesus is in over here”. I would not budge. Why? Just because of what He told you. Do not even bother to go out. He is not out there. When Jesus comes back, every eye is going to see Him and every knee is going to bend, and declare Him as who He is, as Lord.

This stuff about Jesus being over here or over there, then people speak about the appearances of Peter, Paul and Mary. You got them in restrooms. They are great for making money and for tourist attractions. There are all these supposed appearances taking place. Someone said Paul appeared. How would you know? There is not a soul alive who knows what Jesus, or Peter, Paul or any of the other apostles looked like. There is a reason the bible did not declare that. Otherwise, people would have more of a heyday with it. Yet people are looking to see that. Yet, Jesus said as clear as ever, that when those types of things come, do not even bother to come out. Do not even bother to look. Do not believe it. Those are false prophets, who are going to appear, and in many instances, unlike these, who have not performed anything. There are going to appear great sins and there are those who are going to do miracles. I do not think we have seen that yet, outside of the fraudulent, of what they say are miracles. But we are going to see that some day.

(Consider what the Lord told us in regard to wonders in the final days during the tribulation, and thank God if you are not going to be on the earth during that time.)

Revelation 13:12-14
12 It exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. 13 And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people. 14 Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.

(But also while Jesus walked the earth, he told us to watch out for lying signs and wonders.)

It is going to deceive even the elect. We are so inclined to believe out there what we see going on. I cannot dispute that. That certainly is what happened. But He says, “It does not match up to the word of God”. But do not say “but”. “Do not bully goat me”. Does it match up with the word of God? No. Then forget it. It happened but it is deceiving. We have to understand that.

(Consider the word of God in Deuteronomy in regard to false prophets in days past. God has called us to walk by faith in His words, and not by sight.)

Deuteronomy 13:1-7
1 If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a sign or wonder, 2 and if the sign or wonder spoken of takes place, and the prophet says, “Let us follow other gods” (gods you have not known) “and let us worship them,” 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The Lord your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. 5 That prophet or dreamer must be put to death for inciting rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. That prophet or dreamer tried to turn you from the way the Lord your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you.

6 If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, 7 gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), 8 do not yield to them or listen to them.

Let us go on to 2 Corinthians 11:13 as to what Paul calls those people. This is a continuation of what we just talked about, of someone receiving a different spirit or someone preaching a different gospel.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15
13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

He did not say they were deceitful sloths. They are out there working. There is a reason for that. There is terrific monetary profit to gain from that. They are masquerading as apostles of Christ. There are people today calling themselves apostles. That is interesting, for when the apostles, after Judas, are trying to name another apostle to take his place, it says there is a criteria to name another apostle.

Acts 1:15-22
15 In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty) 16 and said, “Brothers and sisters,[or fellow believers] the Scripture had to be fulfilled in which the Holy Spirit spoke long ago through David concerning Judas, who served as guide for those who arrested Jesus. 17 He was one of our number and shared in our ministry.”

18 (With the payment he received for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out. 19 Everyone in Jerusalem heard about this, so they called that field in their language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.)

20 “For,” said Peter, “it is written in the Book of Psalms:

“‘May his place be deserted; let there be no one to dwell in it,’[Psalm 69:25]

and,

“‘May another take his place of leadership.’[Psalm 109:8]

21 Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus was living among us, 22 beginning from John’s baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection.”

To be selected as an apostle, one had to have been with Jesus in the beginning, in His death, burial and resurrection. It is tough to have someone today fit in that category. Yet they think they can. So man is getting himself puffed up, deceiving people that he is a special guy, as an apostle of God. No, he is not! Anyone claiming himself to be an apostle today is a false teacher, a deceitful worker, who is masquerading as an apostle of Christ. Anyone calling themselves an apostle, take off and run. That is a false teacher, a deceitful workman, and a false apostle.

The scripture had to be written by an apostle or an Amanuensis of an apostle. What do you mean? Someone who was Christ from the beginning. Why? Jesus said, “I am going to bring everything He said to the apostle’s back to their memory”.

John 14:26
26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

That is why the canon was put together. There is no book written in the New Testament except by an apostle or an Amanuensis of an apostle, a scribe, and including the apostle Paul, who had direct revelation from God, and that was affirmed by the apostles who were with Jesus from the beginning. So a person claiming himself today to be an apostle, you get away from him. There are no such things.

As we look at 2 Corinthians 11:13-15, we have to realize that was written years and years before what we would know today as anything we recognize as an organized church or denomination. At that time, it was just people meeting and studying the word of God.

Acts 2:42-43
42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.

(It should be noted that signs and wonders were performed through an apostle. Those were there in those early days to affirm the message from the apostles was from God, and not of human origin, until the time these things could be written down. We were not to put faith in signs and wonders, but in the word of God, in what He had said and promised, as spoken through the apostles.)

These words given to us, about those masquerading as apostles, who were looking into the future for our benefit as well, and seeing that even though it was going on then, you will have people masquerading as apostles of Christ. That was certainly true going on then in their day. The same thing is going on today. He says that is a masquerade.

That is a masquerade. What do people do on Halloween? A person goes to a masquerade party. You are dressed up in garb to make you look like something you are not. You put on a costume that looks like a dinosaur. Just because you go to put a costume on that looks like a costume does not mean you are one. You can dress up to look like Elvis but you are not Elvis. A masquerade is a masquerade. You are dressed up to look like something you are not. I do not think you can be very convincing that you are an apostle unless you get in your mind what an apostle might look like. Then you have to put the garb on to look like him.

Do you wonder why sometimes we are in a robe that is holy. You get robes in a choir. Everybody wears robes. What is this robe stuff? It is supposed to designate something. I am not supposed to do that, but what does it designate? It is like putting on a tux makes you more intelligent. You go in with a tie and a suit, you just have some kind of authority you do not have when you have a t-shirt on. We are dumb. We look on the outside. Look at this scripture in light with everything Paul talks about.

2 Corinthians 10:7
7 You are judging by appearances. If anyone is confident that they belong to Christ, they should consider again that we belong to Christ just as much as they do.

That is what people do. People look on the surface. I am masquerading, or dressing up to look like an apostle.

2 Corinthians 11:14
14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

Even Satan makes himself look like something he is not. You have huge denominations, whose entire existence is based on somebody who saw an angel of light appear. That angel of light came to do what? Present a gospel different than the one Paul preached. What do people do? They put up with it easily enough. But it says even Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. There is no angel of God who is going to give a different message than the one given from Christ to His apostles. It is a false masquerade. It is masquerading as something you are not, a false prophet, a deceitful workman, masquerading as an apostle of Christ.

There are people today doing the same thing, proclaiming themself to be an apostle, with a direct line to God. Quite frankly, we do not need a direct line to God. If you are in Christ and Christ is in you, you already have a direct line to God. You do not need to go to a man. That is why the priesthood is over, as you read from the book of Hebrews.

Hebrews 7:11-12
11 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood – and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood – why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? 12 For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also

Christ today is our priest. We do not have any priest down here. A priest is to represent man to God for his sins. Man has already been represented. There is a mediator, Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 2:5-7
5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. 7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle – I am telling the truth, I am not lying – and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles.

He is one who already took care of our sins. He alone is the mediator. There is no other mediator between God and man. That is according to the word of God. That is not in accordance with some tradition or some denominational teaching. If you want to check out some denominational teaching, you have to go to the word of God. You do not go to some priest or someone else. You go to the word of God and see if you find anything in scripture that lines up with what you are being taught. If it isn’t, then you realize you are engulfed in a masquerade. So Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. He comes as an appearance to be God’s guy but in essence is an antichrist.

2 Corinthians 11:15
15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

It is not surprising that Satan’s servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. If you are going to invade something. In other words, if America, realizing what is in the cold war, that they were with Russia, there were American spies in Russia by the thousands and there were thousands of Russian spies in America.
