Classic Christianity – The Mystery of God P2 (04-08-25)
Bob George Presents: The Mystery of God P2
~ Once a person begins to grab a hold of who we are in Christ Jesus, a person’s whole world of understanding begins to change, not only about themselves, but also about God too. The apostle Paul explained to the saints in Ephesus who they are in Christ Jesus. “Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints being in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 1:1,2 And like the Ephesians, it’s so important that we also understand who we are in Christ Jesus. Because Satan doesn’t want you to know and understand how holy you truly are in Christ Jesus. He would much rather continue teaching you that you are a sinner, instead of a SAINT. Pay attention to the details in the word of God. No where in the Word of God is a believer in Christ Jesus ever called a sinner AFTER they have become a Holy set apart saint by God Himself. And make no mistake about it, all religion is a lie of Satan, to keep us under the bondage of sin and death. Catholics and Protestants are two sides of the same coin. Both teach the Lie of ongoing forgiveness by God.
So let’s take a look at Truth in the Word of God about ALL saints. For this is the will of God from the beginning, that a True believer in Jesus, one who has been born again of the Spirit of God, one that has placed Faith in Him, God in the flesh, that it was predestined by God Himself that we would be sons to Himself, through Jesus Christ. It was God’s plan all along (predestined by God Himself). This is key for us to understand today. Pay Attention to the details, for the details matter in Everything.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the One having blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world for us to be holy and blameless before Him, in love having predestined us for divine adoption as sons to Himself through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished upon us in all wisdom and understanding, having made known to us the mystery of His will according to His pleasure, which He purposed in Him for the administration of the fullness of the times, to bring together all things in Christ—the things in the heavens and the things upon the earth— in Him, in whom also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of the One working all things according to the counsel of His will for us, the ones having first trusted in Christ, to be to the praise of His glory, in whom you also, having heard the word of truth, the gospel your of salvation, in whom also having believed you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance to the redemption of the acquired possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:3-14

And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, having done what, will I inherit eternal life?”
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good, except God alone.
~ “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12
~ Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one believing in Me, even if he should die, he will live. And everyone living and believing in Me shall never die, to the age. Do you believe this?” John 11:25,26

Pray to God:
Do you really want to know the WHOLE Truth of what is going on today?
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
Lord Jesus, teach me the truth of the world today and give me the wisdom to know the truth and identify the lies of the devil. Thank you God.”
“~ Now, what we should do now is, let’s turn back to the book of Ephesians and pick up in verse, pick up there in chapter one. Verse three. Praise be to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ, for he chose us in him. He chose us where? In him, before the creation of the world to be something. What were we chosen to be? Holy and blameless, in whose sight? His sight. In other words, he is the one who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in this man, Christ, Jesus. All right now, are you in him? Have you stepped out of Adam into Christ so that Christ could step out of heaven into you? Have you been transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins? Now was that because God just decided that he liked you? Didn’t like him over here, but he likes you. Do you realize folks, that some people teach that? And in the world of so called Reformed theology they teach predestination and election, that I choose you, but didn’t choose you, and it, to me, is the most ridiculous theology that is taught among probably what the people think of as the most intellectual people theologians in Christendom, many times thought of in that light, the only thing I can say to that is the Bible, once again, is proven true that knowledge puffs up because predestination has nothing to do with I select you, but I don’t select you. Predestination has to do with that Man who comes to Christ, that all who are in Him have been predestined by God to be what? Declared holy and acceptable in his sight. So to all who come to Christ, Jesus by faith. And it’s the only way that you can come to Christ, Jesus for salvation is by faith.” ~ Bob George

Bob George 0:27
When they heard this, they were furious, and began shouting great as Artemis of the Ephesians. And soon the whole city was in an uproar. The people seized Gaius and Aristicus Paul’s traveling companions from Macedonia and rushed as one man into the theater. Now, this theater that they raced them into was a great amphitheater, a stadium like affair that seated 25,000 people, so a huge stadium for that day and age, or, quite frankly, for any day and age. Now, Paul wanted to appear before the crowd, but the disciples would not let him, and even some of the officials of the province, friends of Paul, sent him a message begging him not to venture into that theater. The assembly was in confusion. Some of them were shouting one thing, some another, and most of the people did not even know why they were there. Isn’t that the way people are. We’re just following along. What are you here for? I don’t know, but we’re making a lot of noise in the process, and that’s exactly how many times crowd psychology takes place, is we follow the crowd. Don’t even know where the crowd’s going. The Hebrew pushed Alexander to the front, and some of the crowd shouted instructions to him. He motioned for silence in order to make a defense before the people. But when they realized he was a Hebrew, they all shouted in unison for about two hours, great as Artemis of the Ephesians. You see, folks, the Hebrew was the only voice that would have been in Ephesus, teaching the one true God. And also I would have to assume, because of their dedication, that thou shall have no other gods before me and worship no graven images, that they would not have been worshipers of Diana or the goddess Artemis. And so the mere presence of being a Hebrew would have been an enemy of those who were trying to drive this crowd into a frenzy because of the loss of their business. And so the more they saw this person, the more they were shouting their chant of greatest Artemis, of Ephesians.
Now the city clerk cried, it quieted the crowd and said, Men of Ephesus, doesn’t all the world know that the city of Ephesus is the guardian of the temple of the great Artemis and of her image, which fell down from heaven? Therefore, since these facts, in that amazing facts, even in as much as these facts are undeniable, you ought to be quiet and not to do anything rash. You have brought these men here, though they have neither robbed temples nor blasphemed our goddess, if them, Demetrius and his fellow craftsmen have a grievance against anybody. The courts are open, and there are pro councils, they can press charges. Now, if there’s anything further you want to bring up, it must be settled in a legal assembly. And as it is, we are in danger of being charged with rioting because of today’s events. In that case, we would not be able to account for this commotion, since there is no reason for it. And after he said this, he dismissed the assembly.
Now when the uproar ended, Paul sent for his disciples, and after encouraging them, he said goodbye and set out for Macedonia, and he traveled through the area, speaking many words of encouragement to the people, and finally arrived in Greece, where he stayed three months. Well, we will stop there, because it gives you a little bit of a background, does it not? In regard to this city of Ephesus, what the thinking was in Ephesus. And what is interesting is, even though they were these believers of all of this error, and they were, they were terrifically in great ingrained in this incredible superstition. And in the midst of that, they had legal representation, and they obviously had some law and order, or this commotion could not have been settled as quickly as it was. So you can have all of these things that appear to be so great, terrific law, terrific order, terrific court systems, everybody acting smart and intelligent, and in the midst of that, worshiping someone who fell from the heavens called Diana.
Now, what we should do now is, let’s turn back to the book of Ephesians and pick up in verse, pick up there in chapter one. And it’s the only way that you can come to Christ, Jesus for salvation is by faith.
Now there are many people can say, I believe in Christ, Jesus. I believed in Christ, Jesus for 36 years, but it wasn’t saved. Belief leads to faith. It can or it can just remain belief. Because I can say, I believe something, but I’m not going to put faith in it. I can say, Max, I believe that chair will hold me, so why don’t you sit in it? And that’s saying, Why don’t you sit in it? Well, because I’d rather you sit in it, because I believe so strongly that that chair will hold me, that you sit in it. And Max says, Bob, if you really believe that chair would hold you, you would sit in. There’s a difference between belief and faith. How do you come to Christ by belief? No, you come to Christ by belief that ends up in faith. Because if faith does not enter in, there is no credibility of belief. You’re just giving lip service to an intellectual belief of something. But I have never put my faith in that in something.
And so when we come to Christ, He chose us in Him before the creation of the world. See, the in him is the key. Everyone who is in him has been chosen by God before the creation of the world to be made holy and blameless in his sight. Is that good news? That here’s my plan for the world. Anyone who comes to my Son, I will see them as holy and blameless in my sight from that day forth. In love, He predestined us and adopted us as His sons through Christ, Jesus, in accordance with the pleasure of His will to the praise of the glorious grace which he’s freely given us in the one he loves. In Him, we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins. Well, folks, is this good news?
Now look what he’s saying here, and he has made known to us the mystery of his will according to His good pleasure. Well, let me step back here just for a moment. In Him, we have redemption through what? Through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, and is said in accordance with the riches of what, is it God’s grace or your confession? Of His grace. And this grace was lavished upon us with all wisdom and understanding. Now, folks, do you think that God had wisdom and understanding when in his plan of things, he said that, unless I want to be dealing in little sins and big sins, and a bunch of sins and no sins and confession and sincere confession, and real, sincere confession, and then really, really, real, sincere confession accompanied by tears? Now unless I want to be dealing with that garbage, I’m going to have to do something for Man once and for all, and that is to take away the sins of the world one time and for all and for everybody. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. There is none righteous. No, not one. So let’s just neutralize the entire world, forgive everyone of their sins through one act of My Son, Christ, Jesus. And now, having done that, I can deal with this sin issue. It’s been dealt, it’s been judged, and now I can get about the business of life. Do you think that’s wisdom? Man, I’ll tell you, is that wisdom. Now, man doesn’t like that wisdom. See, man likes to keep dealing with sins and then bad sins and good sins and little sins and big sins. And then, of course, when you got sin, said you got, as we go on today, confession. And then, was that confession sincere? Wasn’t it sincere? And did I see a tear that it was sincere? And you couldn’t go on and on and on, can you not? And that’s what Man is doing. Jesus said I took that away 2000 years ago. I don’t know why you people are so preoccupied with what I’m through with. That issue has been handled. It’s been dealt with. Now why don’t you finish it?

So the forgiveness of sins is a possession of yours. Do you realize that? That is your possession. You are not getting forgiven. Do you understand that? You are a forgiven person. I heard a rate one of the radio programs that follows us on one of the other channels, and a guy, dear guy, but just does not understand forgiveness. And this, this woman is talking about something she had done, and well, so sweet and I, have you asked Jesus to forgive you? And continue, Have you asked Jesus to forgive you? I thought, for goodness sakes man, don’t you know he already has and don’t you know that without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness, and if that is true, that without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness, and there is no more sacrifice for sin, meaning there is no more shedding of blood, then how in the world could you get forgiven today? When, when the Bible tells us, without the shedding of blood, there isn’t any forgiveness, how are you going to get forgiveness unless Jesus comes and dies again? Don’t you know that Jesus has already done that? So instead of this pious talk, Well have you ask Jesus to forgive you? Why don’t you tell someone that Jesus has already forgiven you of that, and now put it aside and get up and sin no more. Isn’t that the way Jesus dealt with it? If you’re without sin, throw the stone. If you’re not go home. And to the woman get up and sin no more, that’s the wisdom of God. That’s the wisdom of God. Otherwise, you’re going to be dealing with sin all your life.
And so this is not something that you get it. Something that, if you are in Christ, you have, it’s your possession. In Him you have what? Redemption. What else? The forgiveness of sins. I ask people. How many of you ask God to redeem me every day? Anybody here? Now how many of you are redeemed? All right, then I’m going to ask another question. If you are redeemed, and you truly believe you’re redeemed, then how much sense would it make for you to ask God to redeem you? If you’re redeemed, what would you say if I said to you, gee, I got up this morning and asked God to redeem me. And say, Gee, Bob, I thought you were saved. It’s nice to hear that you’re now born again, wouldn’t you? Well, what else could you say? Well, then if in him you have redemption, what else do you have in him? Forgiveness. So if you would not get up asking him to redeem you every day. Why would you get up asking him to forgive you every day? Does God want you to know that you are redeemed? Yeah. Don’t you think maybe he also wants you to know you are forgiven? And if you know that you are redeemed, and you know that you are forgiven, then your identity has been changed into I am a redeemed, forgiven person. Now, if that is my identity, that I am a redeemed forgiven person, then that means that’s who I am. I’m a forgiven person. Is that good news? Am I a forgiven person because I keep short accounts with God? Am I a forgiven person because I practice spiritual breathing? Am I a forgiven person because I go to the confession booth? Because folks, every one of those are things that the Christian world has come up with, is what you have to do to get forgiven. So the Catholics say, if you don’t go the confession booth, you’ve had it, the Protestants say, no, no, you can go direct, and God’s up in heaven saying it’s finished. And when are you people going to learn it? It’s finished. I’m a redeemed person. Now, if I am a redeemed person, am I a person who gets redeemed? Or am I a redeemed person? Which is it? A redeemed person. If I am a forgiven person, then am I a person that gets forgiven? Or am I a forgiven person, which is it? Which is it? Then I’m a forgiven person.
Now, once again, if I’m going to walk by faith and without faith, what’s the scripture say? It’s impossible to please God, if I’m going to walk by faith, then am I walking by faith, knowing that I am in Christ, knowing that I am a redeemed person, to say, Lord, please redeem me. Is that faith? No, it is not. And if I was saying that as pious as that may sound and humble as that may sound, would I be functioning by faith? Would I be pleasing God? No. If I am a forgiven person, and I am asking God to do what he said, I’ve already done, am I asking, Am I walking by faith? And as pious as that may sound to say, Oh, I asked God, because I just am so humble, would I be functioning by faith? No. And therefore, could I be pleasing God? And do you know people saying, I’m so pleasing to God. It’s unbelievable, because I keep short accounts with God. I’ll show you how pleasing I am to God. I got every sin under the sun confessed. Say, No, you’re not pleasing to God. What’s pleasing to God is when you finally come to understand and believe what he said is true, that you are a forgiven person. That’s what’s pleasing to God. I did it once. I did it for all in order to do what folks? Make you holy and acceptable and blameless in the sight of God. Were you predestined to be made that way? Well, then if you’re predestined by God to be made holy and blameless, then how do you think you’re going to make yourself blameless by what you do? It’s amazing, isn’t it, how we’ve negated the work of faith.
Now let’s go on, and he has made known to us the mystery, and folks mark that word in your Bible, the mystery of the of his will according to His good pleasure. In other words, God said it gives me pleasure to do what I’ve done, which he purposed in Christ. So all of this was purposed to take place in Christ, to be put into effect when the times have reached their fulfillment, to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, that is even Christ.
Now, so that we do not go into this book with a misconception as to what this mystery is, turn over to turn to chapter three for a moment, and we’ll just take a moment to clarify this in verse two, chapter three, Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you. So Paul is saying to these people in Ephesus, Surely you’ve heard about this administration of God’s grace that was given to me. Paul is talking about this administration of God of grace was given to me by God by special revelation. That is the mystery. Now there’s this word mystery, made known to me by revelation. He did not get this through the apostles. Remember, in one of the pastors who said, when I got there, I did not go up to talk to the apostles. I didn’t go any place. I got this by direct revelation from God, as I have already written briefly. In reading this, then you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to men in other generations, but has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets. This mystery is that through the Gospel, the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. What is the mystery that God is going to save The gentile the same way he saves the HEBREW. And all of that was predestined in the mind of God to take effect when the time had come. Now the time could not have come until Christ. And folks, that’s why it says, Until faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, because faith could not come until Christ came. Therefore you have the object of our faith is Christ. Prior to that time, faith was in the coming Jesus. But until Jesus came, our faith could not come. Faith must have an object. And the only object that God ever intended for us to have is the object of his Messiah, Christ, Jesus.
So when it’s talking about that he made known to us this mystery of his will according to His good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ to be put into effect when the times would have reached their fulfillment. So have the times reached their fulfillment? Yeah, that was what he’s talking about. There’s going to come a time when there’s going to become a fulfillment, when the HEBREW and Gentile alike have both been called into one person in Christ, Jesus. The dividing line of hostility ripped in two so that the two have become as one folks. When God divides up mankind, He divides it up this way, the Hebrew, the Gentile, and the church, the ecclesia. What is the ecclesia. Born Again, people made up of both HEBREW and Gentile. Those are the three categories of men, according to God, the HEBREW, the Gentile, the ecclesia. That’s the only division man makes in regard to mankind.
Today, when you talk to a HEBREW, what’s their idea? A HEBREW and a Christian. I always talk HEBREW and Christian. It’s not HEBREW and Christian, it’s HEBREW and Gentile, and we Gentiles need to start talking more about being Gentiles by birth and Christian by new birth, because it is not HEBREW and Christian, it’s HEBREW and Gentile.
Now let’s go on. These times have reached their fulfillment to bring all things in heaven and earth together under one head that is Christ in him. Look at this. We were also chosen. Who’s the also? When you say we were also chosen, that means somebody else was chosen, doesn’t it? Who’s the other people chosen? The HEBREWS now we are also as Gentiles. You see in Ephesus, he’s talking basically to Gentiles. He’s not talking to HEBREWS. He’s talking to Gentiles. He’s talking to that. Whole Asian city made up of Gentile heathens who are now in Christ. In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, in order that we who were the first to hope in Christ, now who’s that? HEBREW might be for the praise of his glory, and you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Isn’t this good news? See, God, was there a and is there to this day, folks, do you realize that we continually are looking at films and movies and everything else about this unbelievable, distinction between HEBREW and Gentile.
What was going on in Germany during World War 2, people wanting to abolish — off of the face of the earth. You even had an early Christian teaching of people who are today are revered as phenomenal Christian men of God, who led reformations and everything else, who were totally antisemitic. Do you realize that? And what God said is, when I tore that curtain, and that curtain was torn from the top to the bottom, it was done so so that the entire world, both HEBREW and Gentile could go into the presence of God, calling him Daddy, Father, and there’s no more line of this prejudice between HEBREW and Gentile. For a born again Christian to remain prejudice toward HEBREWS is an inconsistency. Or for a HEBREW who is born again to have prejudice against a Gentile, that barrier has been broken down, that dividing line of hostility has been annihilated, so that both of us can see ourselves as one, one in Christ.

3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
