Be Sure To Enter Into His Sabbath Rest

~ After the cross, everything changed. Prior to the cross, there was a day of the week that was called the Sabbath, and was to be a rest day for the people. After the cross, the Sabbath became a Sabbath Rest for the people of God. Every moment of the day of every day of the week is a Sabbath Rest for those who are in Christ Jesus. Yet people will act like they are living in the old covenant, and get all into their sabbath day as though they think God is pleased with them when they go to their church service, and listen to all the teaching of men (which most of the time are lies of the devil). Yet people do it, because that is what they have done through their tradition, thinking they are worshipping God based on going to a man made building on the corner of walk and don’t walk on a Sunday or a Saturday or whatever day of the week they go, and get filled with goosebumps when they listen to or sing music that is most likely filled with lies and errors too about Jesus. That is NOT worship folks.

Worship is offering our bodies to him for service. We are to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, because our bodies are already made holy (set apart) for the intended purpose God has for them. He wants to use you and be his spokespeople and representative whenever he wants us to be. It might be in the form of writing truth, writing an email, talking with someone in person and sharing truth, setting the record straight, comforting others, helping others in their time of need, having a Bible study, and even being a straight shooter and telling it like it is at times, but all of that is to be available to Him for doing His works in and trough you. We don’t do any good works ourselves. The good works that last are those that he does through you. Once a person understands the truth of that, when they are in Christ Jesus, it frees them up to be who they are, a child of the Living God, that has the Holy Spirit living in them to do the works of God through them. When you live your life, by allowing Him to live his life through you, all things become new. The Holy Spirit will show you things that are unbelievable and ALL TRUTH, because you are then trusting in God, not man (not even yourself). Lean not on your own understanding of anything today, but in always acknowledge and submit to Him through the Holy Spirit living in you. For He will complete the work He began in you.

~ There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. ^{Hebrews 4:9-11}

~ Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. ^{Romans 12:1}

~ “Let me read you, Romans 12. Okay. Therefore, I urge you brothers in view of God’s mercy. In other words, in view of the first of the first 11 chapters, what was communicated in regard to the totality of the grace of God, that’s ours through Christ Jesus, I urge you now in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. And this is your spiritual act of worship. Worship is not going to church. Worship is making your body available to the living Christ, to live his life and in through us. Anybody, whether you’re lost or saved, can go to church on a specific day, a Saturday or a Sunday. Anybody can go to church and get goosebumps listening to the music, anybody can lift their hands up, or keep them piously in your lap, and not know the Lord from an apple tree. So but only a person who is indwelt by God can make his body available to God. And that is our reasonable act of worship. Now until Christ came, that could not be true, worship was on a specific day of the year of the month, or whatever the week would go to worship. But God says Now, under the new cabinet, worship is making your body available to the living Christ, who lives in you to live his life in and through you. So it’s no more a day of the week, it’s every day, it’s every moment of the day, that God wants your body to be available to him, to live his life in and through you. The same thing that God would say to a branch. That what your spiritual act of worship is, in other words, that an act that you can do that is pleasing to me, is to abide in Me, the vine, and let me the vine produce in you, the fruit of the Spirit, you get to bear that fruit, but you must abide in me so that I can produce it in and through you. So that’s our worship that that is what worship is today.” ~ Bob George
