The first caller was Bambi calling from Turlock, California. Her question was in regards to a local church calling out an elder right in front of the whole church.

Listen in as Bob explains how this is not scriptural at all.

The second caller, Tyrone called from Pescadero, California. He had a stepdaughter who was a lesbian and wanted to bring home her partner. He wanted to know what he should do in that he knows this is sin.

Bob explains that this is flaunting sin and simply tell her that he is not interested in having that sin flaunted around him. This is what the Apostle Paul spoke of a person flaunting a sin and that was not good.

The next caller was Lisa, calling from Dayton, Kentucky. She wanted to know about the church in general and then the subject of tongues came up.

Bob explains what the true church is, the body of believers in Christ Jesus and then goes on to explain the truth of tongues, a known language.

The last caller was Joyce calling from Kingston Springs, Tennessee. Joyce wanted to let Bob know that she was so grateful for Bob’s books, Classic Christianity and Growing in Grace. She also had a question in regards to cremation and being absent from the body and present with the Lord.

Bob explains to her that it doesn’t matter whether a body is burnt up in a fire in a building or if the body is burnt in cremation. Quite frankly, the person isn’t there in that body anymore when they die. That is simply a body. But if they are in Christ, they are immediately absent from the body and present with the Lord. Listen in as Bob goes into great detail on how when we die, we get our new glorified bodies immediately when we are in Christ Jesus. Bob explains this from 1 Thessalonians chapter 4. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
¹³ Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. ¹⁴ For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. ¹⁵ According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. ¹⁶ For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. ¹⁷ After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. ¹⁸ Therefore encourage one another with these words.
