How Do You Know You Are Saved in Christ Jesus?

~ The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14

~ Salvation is when the Holy Spirit of God comes to indwell a person and give them life. The Spirit of God brings life to the dead. We receive the Spirit of God through Faith in Jesus, God in the flesh, for having taken care of the sin issue for ever and for all sins. That happened at the cross. Now there are many people that teach ongoing forgiveness as though that is what saves a person, but that is a lie. There is no such thing as ongoing forgiveness by God. He went to the cross one time for the sins of the entire world, and that includes you and me too. He is never going to die on the cross ever again. So place Faith in the Faithful one of God, Jesus God in the flesh, to have completed the work of forgiveness. He took away all your sins never to see them again. And now he saves a person through His resurrected life coming to live in them. And He wants you to know that you have eternal life the very moment you trust in Him. Eternal Life begins the very moment the Holy Spirit brings life to the dead. “I have written these things to you, the ones believing in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.” 1 John 5:13

I got kind of a generic question. Never heard anybody ask it. I hear a lot of people asking similar type questions. But how do I know that I’m saved beyond a shadow of a doubt?

Bob George
“By the fact, Randy, that have you come to put faith in the finished work of Christ, Jesus at the cross? Again, there’s two things Randy that’s paramount, in my opinion, to salvation. First of all, I have to believe what God says about me, and I have to believe what God says about my sin. In other words, I’m not going to call homosexuality an alternate lifestyle. I’m not going to call drunkenness alcoholism. I’m going to call it what God calls it drunkenness. So I’m going to agree with God as to what he says about me and my problem, and I’m going to agree with him in regard to his solution, and I’m going to put faith in that. Now God said about you and your lost state, that your heart was wicked and deceitful above all things. And who can know it? He said that there’s no one righteous no, not one. That’s a problem, because how is an unrighteous person going to go into the presence of a righteous God? He said, Well, I’ll tell you, because I came to give you my righteousness. I took your sins, all of them, and I placed them on me at the cross, and there Jesus, who knew no sin, became sin for you, so that you could become the righteousness of God in Him. And I took them away from the eyes of God, never to see them again.” ~ Bob George
