Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P880 (10-20-23)

“A Child of God is Eternally Secure With Christ Jesus

~ When a person accepts Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes to indwell that person, and that person now belongs to the body of Christ, the temple of God. So we see in passages of scripture that it reads like, if the shoe fits wear it. A person that has the Holy Spirit for discernment (because the Holy Spirit lives in them) they will be taught as to what the holy scriptures actually mean. And the Holy Spirit is always there teaching a person. But it is important to understand that sometimes scriptures are a comparison between the lost and the saved. Such is the case with 2 Timothy 2:11-13.

It’s also important to understand that sometimes people called into the radio program to actually find out what the word of God means. Other times, people called in simply to argue their point, as though they were going to take over all the airtime. That too takes discernment to understand the difference between a teachable spirit and one that is prideful in their own thinking, and is not willing to listen to the clear teaching of the word of God. That is all about testing the spirits, because not all spirits are from God. And scripture tells us that too.

~ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world.^{1 John 4:1}

~ This is a trustworthy saying:
If we died with Him, we will also live with Him;
if we endure, we will also reign with Him;
if we deny Him, He will also deny us;
if we are faithless, He remains faithful,
for He cannot deny Himself. ^{2 Timothy 2:11-13}

Bob George:
~ “Well, it’s a lost, to a person who denies Christ, why he denies them. In other words, if you are going, if you’re not going to accept him, he accepts our non acceptance. In other words, you say I don’t want anything to do with God. And he says, well, then fine, and you won’t have anything to do with me. So it’s just the fact that it’s like you’re saying, I don’t want to be around this person. And he says, Well, that’s fine. So then I don’t want to be around you. And then in the last, if we’re faithless, then there’s now you’re talking about Christians, if we’re faithless, if we’re faithless, he will remain faithful, for he can’t disown himself. So when you come to Christ, you haven’t denied him, you’ve come to Him by faith. But you can be faithless, in other words, not not continue to walk by faith. And he says, Well, I mean, in the midst of that he’ll remain faithful, because he does own himself and you and he are one now.” ~ Bob George
