We Are Set Free in Christ Jesus, From Death to LIFE!

~ “For the Law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the Law of sin and death.” Roman 8:2

We have been set free from the law of sin and death! That should be good news to people, but most have no clue what that really means. And most do not understand it because they are NOT born from above. They do not have the Holy Spirit in them. Now, a people have been given freedom, just like Adam and Eve were given freedom in the garden, to make choices. A person can make a choice in whether to accept Jesus or not accept Him. But that is their choice. Once a person is in Christ Jesus, they are still given choices. They can believe satan’s lies, or be taught by the Holy Spirit ALL Truth. And we see choices being made everywhere in Scriptures. And even Adam had been given choices of the naming of animals. God allowed him to name all the creatures, based on his choices for their names. So too, these days we are free to choose in things from day to day life. God has given Man a free will.

Gen 2:18-25
18 The LORD God also said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make for him a suitable helper.”

19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and He brought them to the man to see what he would name each one. And whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 The man gave names to all the livestock, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found.

21 So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep, and while he slept, He took one of the man’s ribs and closed up the area with flesh. 22 And from the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man, He made a woman and brought her to him. 23 And the man said:

“This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
for out of man she was taken.”

24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

25 And the man and his wife were both naked, and they were not ashamed.

Bob George discusses various theological topics on his radio show, including millennialism, the rapture, and the New Covenant. He cites 1 Corinthians 15 and 1 Thessalonians 5. “Well, James. And I look back at God in the Garden of Eden, and God said to Adam, I’ve planted all these trees in this garden, and you’re free to eat from any one of these, except the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. And the day that you decide that you do not need me to determine right from wrong and good from evil. You are going to surely die. In other words, you’re saying I don’t need your guidance and I will, and therefore I’m going to determine right from wrong and good from evil on my own, and on that day, I’m going to depart from you, and you’re going to be on your own. And I think the same thing is true with us today. I think God says there’s all kinds of opportunities out there, there’s all kinds of places to live, there’s all kinds of jobs available, there’s all kinds of men and women that you can marry or not marry. And I want you to go make your choice. You say, Well, didn’t Well, which one is perfect? Delight yourself in the Lord, and I’ll give you the desires of your heart. And there’s a lot of people who think, oh, that’s the only person that I could have married. Then they get divorced, and they say, Well, maybe that wasn’t right, and then they get divorced again, and maybe that wasn’t right. So again, what I’m saying is I believe God has given us a terrific amount of freedom of choice, and we do have a freedom of choice, but we cannot have the freedom of choice in determining right from wrong and good from evil. We must turn to God and hold on tenaciously to what he says is good and what he says is evil, and like it says, Woe to him who calls good bad and bad good. But I think on the rest of it, we’ve got a terrific amount of freedom.” – Bob George
