Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P6 (11-29-21)
For me to Live is Christ Jesus
When a person becomes a believer in Christ Jesus, they become born again, and the Holy Spirit comes to give life to the believer. The same life that raised Jesus from the dead is the same life that raises us from the dead when we place faith in Him.
21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
The Holy Spirit is the same Spirit that lives in all believers. These are born again people. They are born of the Spirit. The Spirit give birth to your spirit. Those in Christ Jesus are born of the Holy Spirit.
63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.
Only the Spirit can give life. The flesh can’t do it. Flesh and blood can not inherit the Kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 15:50)
5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.
A person must be born of the Spirit. They must be born again of the Spirit of God!
Bob refers to the story about his daughter, Debbie being pregnant with a child and what it means to be born of the flesh. It’s a must to listen story to understand how we are living physically in our mother’s womb before we are born and how that compares to being born of the Holy Spirit in our being born again of the Spirit. We must be tied to the Holy Spirit to have life in Him. Jesus becomes everything to us when a person becomes born again.
Bob then teaches more about the Holy Spirit. Acts 5:3
The Holy Spirit is God. The Father, The Son and Holy Spirit is God. God is One and consists of three persons. You can not separate one from the other. God. This is the trinity revealed of God. All are God.
11 I, even I, am the Lord,
and apart from me there is no savior.
12 I have revealed and saved and proclaimed—
I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “that I am God.
