The Wrath of God is Death, The Gift of God is Eternal Life

~ “The one believing in the Son has eternal life, but the one not obeying the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” John 3:36

~ Death is the absence of Life. The one who does not have the Holy Spirit living in them is dead. They are the walking dead. So the answer to death is Life, and that Life is found in the person of Jesus Christ. Once a person places Faith in Jesus, God in the flesh, to have taken away all their sins at the cross, His Spirit comes to indwell their spirt for Life. Then the Holy Spirit begins the process (that never ends), of renewing our minds. And there is much renewing of the mind that needs to take place, especially in this age of great deception.

So, the bottom line is, those that refuse to place Faith in Jesus, the wrath of God (death) remains upon the person. God does NOT force a person to believe. He doesn’t pick and choose who he is going to save. Everyone is saved the same way, through Faith.

~ “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

Bob George discusses the concept of God’s wrath, emphasizing that it is not something for believers to seek revenge for. He clarifies that the term “chosen” in the Bible refers to Jews and Gentiles, not individual predestination, and that the wrath of God is death. Bob advises against taking revenge and encourages mercy and forgiveness. He also addresses a caller’s question about Jehovah’s Witnesses, explaining their denial of Jesus’ deity. Another caller inquires about fulfilling a pledge to a religious entity, and Bob advises against it if one no longer agrees with their teachings. Finally, Bob explains that people saved before Christ were saved by faith in the revelation available to them at the time.

“Well, we know that there’s no more punishment for those who are in Christ, Jesus. We do know that Christ took away the sins of the world and took the punishment for the entire world’s sins upon himself, and he not only died for our sins, but the sins of the whole world. So as far as punishment for sins that went upon Christ, but the wages of sin is death, and we’re born in that condition of spiritual death. Now a person that does not receive life will remain under the wrath of God, which is death. Okay? That makes sense. So again, we don’t have to take we don’t have to go out and try to kill, to kill people, you know, on our own, and try to annihilate people. I’ve said before, there’s so much of that taking place today where the Christian world has forgotten what Jesus came to do, and that’s extend mercy, and we’re out trying to rip people up and trying to annihilate them and shooting our wounded, and thinking we’re doing something for God, instead of leaving that up to him. Look what Nicodemus said when they were going to crucify Jesus and beat him up. He said, Look, if this man is of God, is not of God, he won’t last. But if he is, then we’d better, we’d better stay away from him. Well, it’s the same thing. How do we know? And we see people out there kicking people off of radio and everything else and television or whatever it might be, because we don’t think they’re as holy as they are, or this person has gone through a problem of some kind, so we’re out there annihilating them. What? How? How do we justify that in the name of Christ to the world? They look on that and say they’re as vindictive as we are, but if they saw mercy, and they saw that type of thing extended, he’d say, hey, there’s a, there’s there’s a there’s something I’d like to be a part of. So when we’re out trying to play God and punish everyone who does wrong, when if, if everyone got punished that for doing wrong, there wouldn’t be anyone left, would there? And so that’s where Jesus said, He said, You hypocrite. You why are you trying to take the speck out of your neighbor’s eye when you’ve got a log in your own? And we have to understand those things, and we have to realize that God called us to be merciful, and He called us to be kind and called us to be forgiving and called at us to be people of to reconcile one another, not to annihilate each other. Go to a person with a attitude of restoration rather than condemnation. And so that’s all he’s saying. If there’s going to be revenge, if there’s going to be wrath, leave that up to God that that’s his business, not yours.” – Bob George
