Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P1101 (01-30-26)
God Reconciled Us All
~ “For if, being enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved in His life!” Romans 5:10
Jesus took upon Himself the sins of the whole world. Yes, everyone’s sins have been forgiven. However, not everyone is saved. Salvation is Life. When a person places Faith in the the gospel of the NEW COVENANT, the Holy Spirit comes to live in them at that very moment in time. Think of it this way, Jesus is saying to you, “I forgave you at the cross, now believe it.” So the question is, do you believe it? Or are you still trying to get yourself forgiven by what you are doing? And make no mistake about it, most people are believing the lie of ongoing forgiveness for the asking. They have Not exercised Faith in forgiveness being completed. They still live in their virtual sacrificial system of plugging in their forgiveness requests to God, and in their mind, out pops forgiveness from God’s vending machine. They think by their asking for something to God, God simply is at their beck and call. And when you tell a person that forgiveness is finalized, they either get really upset with you, or they accepted it, and realize the TRUTH, God Reconciled Us ALL to Himself and is no longer counting sins against anyone today. So if God reconciled you (which He did), then believe it, and be reconciled. Stop living the life of a lie.
~ “All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s trespasses against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18,19
Bob George discusses the concept of forgiveness and confession in Christianity, emphasizing the differences between the Old and New Covenants. He explains that the Lord’s Prayer, which includes the phrase “forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors,” is often misunderstood and should be studied in context. Bob clarifies that forgiveness is eternal and not conditional, as per the New Covenant. He also addresses the idea of accountability groups, suggesting that true accountability lies in one’s personal relationship with God rather than through human-led groups. Additionally, he touches on the nature of Jesus, explaining that His statement “Why do you call me good? No one is good but God” highlights His divinity.
“Well, they’re covered before they ever occur. God not only died for your sins, but He died for the sins of the whole world. It says God was in Christ, reconciling the entire world unto Himself, not counting their sins against them. Now that’s new covenant teaching so, and John says that he not only died for our sins, but the sins of the whole world. So what you’re what you have is God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not counting your sins against them. Then in Romans, it tells us if, while we were yet enemies, that’s lost, we were reconciled to God through the death of his son that’s already happened, how much more having been reconciled, shall we be saved by His life? So in order to give us a life that he wanted to give us, which was eternal life, he had to deal with sin eternally. So you not only have eternal life, you have eternal forgiveness. Because if you didn’t have eternal forgiveness and he gave you life, you would lose it the next time you sinned. So in order to give you a life that was indestructible and unable to be lost, he had to deal with what caused spiritual death, and that was sin, and he had to deal with that eternally. And so that’s what took place at the cross. So in the prayer that you’re talking about people again, put a period where it doesn’t belong, because in verse 14, there’s a for. Now, when you have a for, it means keep reading. In other words, I’ve said something, but now I’m going to explain what that means. So a for, or therefore, is an explanation of a meaning of something. Now here’s the meaning of what he just said in that prayer. For, if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their sins, your father will not forgive your sins. Now, could that be true after the cross, where God was in Christ, reconciling the whole world unto Himself, not counting your sins against them.” – Bob George

John 6:28,29
28 Therefore they said to Him, “What must we do, that we may be doing the works of God?”
29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you should believe in Him whom He has sent.”
