God Ushered in The New Covenant

~ When a person grabs a hold of the New Covenant, they are set free from the law of sin and death and receive Life. Many are teaching lies, and mixing of the old Testament Law, along with a little bit of grace. And then you have others that are adding to the Gospel message and insisting upon water baptism, even water baptism within their church to make sure a person is saved. Get out of that kind of teaching. Don’t allow yourself to be tainted by believing lies. For God, the Holy Spirit wants to renew your mind with Truth. But if you are tuning into lies at some sort of so-called “church”, and listening to satan’s teaching being taught (yes, it is satan’s teaching of lies), because satan doesn’t want you to know Truth. And furthermore, a person that is listening to those types of lies, will then end up becoming a spokesperson for satan themselves, spreading those lies on and on.

It’s like we have been shown programming channels that are lies, so how much is it beneficial to keep yourself being programmed by those lies regularly through deceitful teaching and deceitful teachers? Our part of the equation is to exercise Faith. “Come let us reason together says the Lord.” Are you reasoning together with the Lord by sitting as a bump on a log, and listening to lies? Of course not. He, the Holy Spirit is showing you Truth. Now how do you respond to Truth?

~ Now, however, Jesus has received a much more excellent ministry, just as the covenant He mediates is better and is founded on better promises. For if that first covenant had been without fault, no place would have been sought for a second. But God found fault with the people and said:

“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord,
when I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah.

It will not be like the covenant
I made with their fathers
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of the land of Egypt,
because they did not abide by My covenant,
and I disregarded them,
declares the Lord.

For this is the covenant I will make
with the house of Israel
after those days,
declares the Lord.

I will put My laws in their minds
and inscribe them on their hearts.
And I will be their God,
and they will be My people.

No longer will each one teach his neighbor or his brother,
saying, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know Me,
from the least of them to the greatest.
For I will forgive their iniquities
and will remember their sins no more.”

By speaking of a new covenant, He has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear. Hebrews 8:6-13

Bob George addressed callers’ questions on faith and biblical interpretations. Ed from Hercules sought scriptures to prove Jesus’ divinity to a friend transitioning between Catholicism and Jehovah’s Witnesses. Bob advised focusing on the gospel and leaving results to God. Ann from Baton Rouge appreciated Bob’s teachings on the New Covenant and the supernatural love of God. Roger from Richmond sought clarification on 2 Corinthians 9:6, emphasizing cheerful giving. Tony from Los Angeles questioned the validity of Mormon experiences, with Bob stressing faith in Christ. Sharon from Detroit sought assurance on immediate presence with the Lord upon death, confirmed by Bob. Oscar from City of Industry was advised to leave a Pentecostal church emphasizing water baptism for salvation.

“Well, let me tell you on that Oscar, those people that are saying that don’t tell me that they’re saved. And I know that’s a tough thing to hear, but it may be tough to hear, but it’s not that tough to say. When you’ve been around as long as I have, if you believe that you are saved through baptism period, you are not saved in Corinthians, Paul teaches very, very clearly, this is the gospel. It saves. Those are the words that he uses. This is the gospel that saves the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, Jesus. There is no baptism in there. There’s no tongues in there. There’s no church membership in there. There’s no tithing in there. There’s no What are you doing for God in there? It is all what Jesus did. This is what saves you. This is the gospel. You have nothing to do with anything in regard to salvation. Anytime anybody adds something to salvation, they haven’t been saved. Because what I’m saying is this, if you add to salvation, that’s all you talk about. And so therefore you tell people just what was told to you. You your baptism is not any good. No one ever checked to see. Did was your heart open when you accepted the death what Jesus did for you and thanked him for that death on the cross where He took away your sins. Oh yeah, I did that. And did you understand that you were dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, and that God came to give you life? And there’s a consequence to sin called death, but the solution to that is resurrected life, and that’s the meaning of his resurrected did you accept it? Yeah, I accepted that. Well, then you need to be baptized. Well, then, in other words, you’re just saying, Well, this is kind of peripheral over here. Here’s what you need to do, and I’m sorry you’ve missed the whole point of salvation. I would get away from whoever that group is and find a group that teaches truth, because they are not teaching truth. When people have an emphasis on baptism, they’re not teaching truth. Paul says, I’m glad I didn’t baptize anyone. Now, this is the same Paul that just wrote that this is the gospel it saves. The same Paul that wrote, This is the gospel it saves, is the same Paul who wrote, I’m glad I didn’t baptize anybody except Gaius and and Christmas. Christmas. Besides that, he said, I don’t remember baptizing anyone for here’s why God didn’t send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel. Now, how could you say that If baptism is in the Gospel, it isn’t in the Gospel? In the same chapter, he says, this is the gospel that saves. So when you’re talking to people who are talking about baptism for salvation, get out of there. There because they are not teaching you truth. And you go, and you go off in one air area, you’re going to go off a million miles in another.” – Bob George
