Rest in The Sabbath Rest of Jesus Himself

~ “For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For whoever enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience.” Hebrews 4:8-11

Be sure to enter into His rest today. Don’t get pulled off the narrow path of Truth, and try and put Man works into the equation. Rest from your works, just as God rested from His. Count it as finished, as God said, “It is finished” at the cross. Faith is believing what God has said is Truth. And this is just the tip of the iceberg on TRUTH. Ask Him for Wisdom to show you ALL TRUTH. Once you begin to understand Truth, the whole world changes for you. Nothing is as it seems today.

Bob George addressed questions on religious practices and moral issues. Bob clarified that the Sabbath is a daily spiritual rest, not a specific day. On abortion, Bob emphasized the sin of fornication and urged a caller to keep her child and seek support. He explained that the Holy Spirit was not received by early disciples because they lacked knowledge of Jesus’ resurrection. Bob criticized the misuse of altar calls and stressed the importance of understanding the full gospel. He also discussed denominational differences, advocating for personal spiritual guidance over reliance on institutional teachings.

“Edward, the Sabbath day is no longer a day of the week. It’s every day of the week. We’re told that we are to now. Don’t let anyone keep you away from entering into that Sabbath rest. Every day is a sabbath. Today, we are to be resting from our works, just as he did from his and so that when the New Covenant was ushered in, the day of the week, being a Sabbath disappeared, and every day became a day that God wants us to enter into the Sabbath rest, where we are resting from our works, not from his that has nothing to do, nor did it really have anything to do outside of giving people some physical rest with with physical rest, it’s talking about resting in the finished work of Christ, Jesus, that you and I are to rest in that instead of working at trying to make yourself holy, rest in the fact he’s made you that way. Instead of trying to make yourself righteous, rest in the fact that he has made you righteous, instead of trying to keep your sins forgiven. Rest in the fact that you are a forgiven person, instead of trying to earn eternal life. Rest in the fact that he has given you eternal life. And of course, all of these things I’m saying are predicated upon the fact that you have come to Christ by faith and have been born again. But that is the Sabbath rest. It’s a spiritual rest, not a physical rest.” – Bob George
