Faith Says Thank You to God!

~ For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:19 New Living Translation

~ To give thanks for what God has done for you at the cross requires understanding what Jesus did for you at the cross. “For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:19 No one can thank God for what He has done for them at the cross and ask for forgiveness at the same time. The two are diametrically opposed to one another. Giving thanks, is a sign of FAITH in Jesus. While the opposite is asking for God to forgive you, and is a sign of UNBELIEF. For without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness by God, and Jesus is never going to die on the cross ever again. So put it to rest, and tell it like it is. There are no in-betweens. An in-between is a double-minded person, unstable in ALL ways.

Thank you, Bob. I was just, you know, wondering when pray would it be the correct thing to do instead of asking God to forgive us for any recent sins we should have done just to thank him that it’s already forgiven.

“Absolutely. Jerry, that’s what faith would say, wouldn’t it? In other words, faith, we look at Faith, is like this, if I do something, God will respond. That’s the Garden of Eden trying to be God. Because if I can God, if I can cause God to respond to me, I’m greater than God, aren’t I? In other words, I can boss God around. And there’s many, many Christians who are walking around with their stupid chest all puffed out, thinking that they are better than God, because all I have to do is ask God, and he sees guy he’s obligated to obey. And that’s a very opposite. God is the initiator of all things. He’s. The dynamic of his own action, the cause of his own effect. And we’re responders. We never were initiators. We were responders. Look at look at Jesus life. Here was God in the flesh, but he said, in as much as I am God in the flesh, I’m going to put that aside, and I’m going to walk as a man in total dependency on my Father. I’m not going to initiate anything. I’m going to respond only to the instruction of my father. And so what faith is is responding to what God has accomplished in our lives, and God has taken away the sins of the entire world, never to see them again. And so faith has to say, thank you. Otherwise, faith is saying, No, I’m going to initiate and God’s going to respond. It’s no. God has already initiated and I’m going to respond. And the only way I can respond by faith is saying, thank you for what you’ve accomplished. Lord, can’t, can’t be grateful enough for you.” ~ Bob George
