God Did Not Give us a Spirit of Fear, But One of Sound Mind

~ God gave us a mind, and He expects us to use it. And if you are in Christ Jesus, it says He gave you a Sound Mind. Most people run to their pastor or teacher, to find out what the word of God means, instead of having it revealed directly to them by God Himself. When a person is born again of the Spirit, they have the Spirit of God living in them. They are not to be dependent on some pill to take away fear or worry, but learn to trust in God who is the faithful One. They are not to zone out on movies or listening to the teaching of the world on tell-a-vision, but take it to God for understanding and wisdom directly from Him. They are not to run to a local pastor or teacher, that quite frankly most likely doesn’t know God and is probably not even born again of the Spirit themselves, because a lost person will definitely teach a person the lies of Satan and the world. And remember, most of today’s so-called “Christian” churches, have pastors that have graduated from cemeteries, seminaries, where the lies of Satan were taught to them big time. And to graduate from seminaries, they had to make the grade, and answer the questions the way Satan’s agents wanted them to be answered. And these church elders today put major emphasis on the seminary training a pastor has in order to hire them. And when a person runs to their pastor or teacher when they hear Truth and wants to know what their pastor thinks, that is Trusting in Man more than God. What does it matter what any Man thinks?

There are people out there that think this is too hard a message for people to hear. They would much rather have it smoothed over, and be all lovey-dovey in a type of toned down response. Grace to them, is never saying things as they are and covering over the Truth with smooth talking lies. But that is NOT what God wants us to do. Jesus told it like it is and Paul did too. As a matter of fact, we are starting in a new teaching series this week that is worth listening to. It’s the study of the book of Galatians. And you will see how Paul told it directly to churches in Galatia, the Truth of the word of God. He always told it like it is, and let the results be in God’s hands.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” ^{2 Timothy 1:7}

Behold the Lamb of God Who Took Away the Sins of the World

Lord Jesus, teach me the TRUTH of the world we live in today and the Truth of You.

One caller was dealing with fear and pain:

“It’s amazing. Cynthia, isn’t it that Satan is relentless in trying to steal? What does he came to do? Steal, destroy. He wants to steal your your love, and he wants to steal your joy, to kill your relationship with the Lord. He’s relentless. And even though you may know about the grace of God when you don’t continue to feed on that daily, he’s in there, stealing it a little bit at a time, stealing it away from you. And that’s why we have to keep renewing our minds on truth.” ~ Bob George

Another caller wanted to know why we needed teachers:

“So what is the work of a pastor teacher? It’s to teach people and to help people to believe in Jesus, to trust in Him. You If God, the Spirit is reveals the meaning of the word of God, then trust that. Trust what he’s saying. So you got two things you’re dealing with. I want to know what the word says. I want it to be revealed to me by the Spirit what it means. And then, many times we need encouraging, encouragement to put it into action, not to give up. And so it’s a combination that God has put into effect for us. James, blessed be His name for doing it. He puts the Spirit of God living in us to reveal the meaning. And then he uses teachers to help us to come to that understanding. I can teach as an example in radio or in person, and I can teach what God has revealed to me in regard to the Scripture, the truth that he’s revealed to me. But if all you would do is to say, Okay, I agree with that, because that’s what old Bob said, you’re going to have a dead faith. But if you go back into the Bible and say, I’m going to check this thing out to see if God, if the Spirit, will reveal that to me, and the Spirit reveals the same thing to you, then you’re taught. So we’re just kind of used to encourage people to get into the Word of God and then to trust Jesus to lead and to guide your life.” ~ Bob George

“James, we’ve been on the air for 20 years. We’ve been live. We’re celebrating the end of our 20th year of being on the air. And for 20 years, I’ve been telling people don’t believe what I’m telling you. I could be lying out my teeth to you. And if you want to find out if what I’m teaching is true, you’re going to have to go into the Word of God on your own and not go to the pastor and ask him what he thinks. That’s irrelevant. That’s what most people do, is they’ll hear me teach something that they haven’t heard in their church, and they go back to the pastor and say, What do you think? You see? That’s nonsense. You if the Spirit of God, if you’re born again, and the Spirit of God lives in you. He has promised to reveal the meaning of the word of God to you. And therefore, you go into the Word of God and check it out. If it’s truth, you latch on to it with all your heart and soul. If it’s error, you throw it in the wastebasket. Okay, okay, brother?” ~ Bob George
