The Spirit of God is the Revealer of Truth

~ When the word of God is spoken today, there are many people that know what the word of God says but don’t have a clue what it means. People will even post on social media, and they will merge both the old covenant and the new covenant and not understand the significance of the two. They will think that a person must be baptized (water baptism) in order to be saved. Sometimes it feels like you are talking right past a person, because they will acknowledge things, but their thinking is just totally wrong. It’s a very subtle thing at times. People will even think they are saved for thirty, forty years, because they think they did something in order to be saved forty years ago, like walking down an aisle to get their sins forgiven, or being dunked in water. Some even think that they have repented of all of their sins, yet they will speak double talk and say they repent daily of certain sins. They in effect are saying out loud, that they have not repented of all of their sins, because if they had they would not do them again. But they don’t even hear themselves saying that and their reasoning ability is limited. And by the way, NO one has ever repented of all of their sins. That is a lie of Satan that has convinced a person that repenting means to stop sinning or to simply say “I’m sorry.” Repent means to change your mind about the person and work of Jesus Christ at the cross. Understanding the New Covenant is paramount to understanding salvation. And we are to be ambassadors of the New Covenant, NOT the old one.

So don’t assume a person is saved today, not even pastors, for most pastors are lost, because Satan has pulled a fast one on many many people, making them think they are in Christ Jesus when in fact they are NOT. And because of that, it is sometimes very difficult to reach a person with the Truth of the word of God. Because they really don’t have ears to hear nor eyes to see the Truth.

~ “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” ^{1 Corinthians 2:9}
~ So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: a The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin b for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.^{2 Corinthians 5:16-21}

~ “No eye has seen or hears heard, or mind has conceived of those things that God has prepared for those who love him, but it must be revealed by the Spirit. The Spirit of God is the revealer of truth. Is the Bible revealed by the Spirit? If right now is the Bible, the spirits revelation of God’s will? For for you and me, Dennis, the Bible is in front of us. It’s like the offer and where the acceptance. God is the initiator, and where the responder, we’re not the initiator to God, we’re the responder to God. And so the Word of God initiates truth to us. And the Spirit of God who lives in us has to interpret that truth that says spiritual things have to be interpreted, spiritually understood spiritually. And so if the Spirit of God does not live in us, then we have no ability at all of understanding the meaning of the word of God. Well, that’s exactly. That’s exactly why you can find people who don’t know the Lord from a lamppost who will go off in every kind of harebrained direction, having people drinking poison, thinking they’re gonna go to heaven. And everything else under the sun are people who are not spiritually regenerated by the Spirit of God and therefore have no ability at all to understand the meaning of the word of God. A computer knows what it says that is not a computer doesn’t know what it means. And for you to understand what it means you must depend upon the Spirit of God to reveal the meaning to you. And he’ll do that if you let him.” ~ Bob George
