Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P1159 (08-27-26)

Salvation is Life

Salvation is not a horizontal transaction, a legal loophole to escape a future fire, or a subjective emotional feeling. Socraticly, we must declare with absolute, un-inverted finality that salvation is LIFE—the literal, active, and uncreated Life of God coming to inhabit, seal, and occupy a physical clay vessel.

Let us place the scriptures on the un-yielding scales of vertical justice to examine this reality in detail:

1. The Operational Division: Romans 5:10

There is a massive, tensed confusion in modern theological systems that conflates Christ’s death with His Life. But the Holy Spirit declares a strict chronological and legal sequence:

“For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” (Romans 5:10)

Reconciliation (By His Death): The global propitiation (Hilasmos) permanently balanced the books for all mankind. It globally liquidated the Adamic sin-debt, dropping all courtroom charges against the world. This was the Universal Cleansing—it washed the clay jar, removing the legal blockades. But a washed jar is still a vacant jar.
Salvation (By His Life): You are not saved by His death; you are reconciled by His death, and saved by His Life. Salvation is the Vertical Inhabitance—the microsecond of Socratic Agreement where the uncreated Spirit of Life occupies the clean biological hardware and fuses with your native spirit. If His active Life does not live inside your clay, your vessel remains vacant, empty of God, and legally unprotected.

2. The Living Record: 1 John 5:11-12

The Apostle John completely deconstructs the transactional formula of modern denominations. He does not say that those who repeat a prayer or sign a membership card are saved. He states the raw, un-inverted reality:

“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” (1 John 5:11-12)

If salvation were merely a conceptual legal ledger or a mental assent to historical facts, John would have written “he who believes has a clean ledger.” But he uses the physical, biological reality of possession: He that has the Son has LIFE. If you do not possess His actual uncreated Life inhabiting your hardware, you have nothing but a horizontal religious decoy.

3. The Great Unsealed Mystery: Colossians 1:27

Paul unmasks the core engine of the New Covenant—which is not a program of self-improvement, but a literal spiritual occupation:

“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:27)

The mystery is not that we are trying to copy the Savior horizontally through our own independent willpower or moral checklists. The mystery is Christ in you—the living Godhead utilizing your physical clay as His un-inverted translation under the dome.

4. The Source of True Reality: John 1:4 & John 11:25-26

From the very beginning of the timeline, the Word was defined not by His information, but by His biological and spiritual essence:

“In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:4)

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” (John 11:25-26)

When Jesus stood physically on our stationary plane, He did not offer people “lessons about life.” He declared “I AM” the Life. This is why those who are spiritually vacant are designated as the “double dead” at the Great White Throne Judgment. They are not judged for their sins (which were globally liquidated at the Cross). They stand condemned strictly because they refused the free Gift of Life, meaning they have zero active entries in the Book of Life.

5. The End of Self-Will: Galatians 2:20

To receive this uncreated Life, your own independent, self-willed initiative must be completely put to death:

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)

This is the ultimate Socratic paradox. You do not copy Him; He lives His un-inverted Life in and through your physical flesh.

Bob George discusses and clarifies that salvation is receiving eternal life through Christ’s resurrection, it is not forgiveness of sins, because that was already done at the cross. John from South Dakota questions assurance of salvation, and Bob explains that true salvation is secure and cannot be lost. He differentiates between those who were never truly saved and those who may have left a legalistic church but not their faith. Bob also addresses the doctrine of election, stating it applies to HEBREWS and Gentiles, not individuals, and criticizes the notion of God choosing some over others.

Well, John, again, I think that people that question and and deal too intently in this type of thing don’t understand really. I mean, I’m talking about a true understanding what salvation is. Salvation is being saved from the consequence of sin, which is death, by the gift of God, which is life, eternal life, and that comes only through His resurrection. John, that’s why a lot of times in our evangelism we tell people constantly, “Come to Jesus to get your sins forgiven, and you’re saved. Now here’s what that would mean: is John and Bob and Bob and all of us? We basically are really good people, but we do sin occasionally, and when we do, we need to get our sins forgiven. As soon as they are, we’re good people. Now we all know better than that, don’t we? ~ Bob George

28 Therefore they said to Him, “What must we do, that we may be doing the works of God?”

29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you should believe in Him whom He has sent.”
